[Q] ad-hoc wifi on cm10.x

Asked for this in the development threads but got no answer..
What i need is if someone is able/knows how to enable ad-hoc wifi connections in latest cm10.x builds because the one im still using has the ringtone bug and its so dmn annoying... Thanks a lot

Which is the other device on the ad-hoc network? If a pc why not use infrastructure mode?

Its a pc with an usb wifi adapter that only supports ad-hoc mode

Sorry, but I couldn't find any method for enabling it. I tried a couple of driver settings, but couldn't enable it. It seems that it must be enabled at a lower level. Easiest option is buying a compatible one

On CM9 i made it work using a wpa_supplicant file from a rom that supported ad-hoc networks, but all the files i tried this time are not working..
Anyway thanks for ur help.

Try flashing this stock rom via odin
unzip
put csc in csc
modem in phone
PDA in pda

If u r having too much problem then go to opera:config ... and turn on complex fonts... try it...

when I going to write bangoli then this problem has come to me.and when I open fb app in bangla language can not see correctly

i follw your in formation .now in odin showing my phon id as 0/006 and can not finish flashing.please do something..........................................

Did you:
1. Turn on USB Debugging?
2. Installed Samsung Drivers for Mobile Phones?
3. Using correct USB cable?
4. Tried using correct version of Odin (1.84 & 1.85)?

Need help

I can't get this thing rooted for nothing...but my first issue is getting the drivers installed? I've downloaded and installed and still not working...is there another way to root or a link someone could provide to the right drivers I've searched and can't find **** on this thing. .Please and thank you

Bought galaxy grand 2 3 days ago just found out that ican't send/recive any file through wifi direct! Any suggestion?

Is wifi direct able to detect the other device to which u want to share a file ????

Yup.. Both devices can detect and connect to each other except sending files.

Ok it is working(on conditions) now after reflashing 4.3 using odin
"Conditions" are that the other device is strictly to be crapsung and currently running 4.2.2+(touchjizz rom) android verion

Wifi direct will only work with samdung devices. Yse ES file explorer if one of the device is non samsung

Check for Kies, Check for the USB Cable, Check for The Phone USB Port there maybe some problems with it
