I recently flashed the stock rooted 4.1.2 update via twrp. Coming from clean ROM, does anyone know where I could find a flashable zip to add an extended power menu to the stock ROM? Mostly Interested In Being able to boot into recovery easier. Thanks in advance.

I second this, would be nice to have/add to a stock build.

This is stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1929270
You can select root or not when installing, it uses aroma installer.
I would flash the odexed rather than de-odexed as I read that some people have issues with that.
Here is the latest bootloader, I flashed this first http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928915
Also the toolkits (stickied in development section) have the ability to do a stock rom. That's not from recovery though.

Apologies if I didnt find it after searching but:
I was looking to get stock recovery back onto the S4. I know I can Odin back to stock but being that my phone is already set up it would be nice to just flash stock back and be happy
Thanks!

That means, flash the Odin? I have a such rooted ROM and I still have twrp.

I'd you're wanting to remain rooted, then you will need a custom recovery.

I used to be on stock recovery rooted and was able to update ota while keeping root with ota rootkeeper... And stock recovery

Every rot method I've seen requires installing a custom recovery. Either twrp or cwm.

So, you want a recovery that has no abilities? No backups. .. no restores. ... reinstall motochopper then.

It's possible to extract the stock recovery from the Odin image and flash it independently. Check it out in this post. Be warned that it's only for AT&T S4's and it's possible to brick your device pretty badly if you flash the recovery to the wrong place.

yes, you will have to use the odin, and then root again. unless you're running a custom rom, then you will have to full wipe your device.
The reason I'm asking is because I want to fastboot the entire 4.3 image to my tablet and start clean but I'm afraid that if the bootloaders are different I won't be able to install the custom recoveries, Philz CWM, or CWM touch for example.
Thanks in advance.

No, old one is LJ12, new one is MD03.
I use TWRP 2.5, and it works fine on the new bootloader.

Thanks for the quick reply, I think I'm gonna stick with TWRP for now until CWM gets updated.

Yah you can go back to your stock ROM after custom recovery, doesn't effect ROM.....also you can make a backup just fine
Sweet! Thanks. Can you recommend a stable 4.4 rom?

Paranoid Android, Mahdi, OmniRom, SlimKat etc2 ...
you have to taste them all to know which one suits your requirement but those 4 definitely at the top of the piles
Awesome thanks for all the help!
