Every time I press the bottom right part of the bezel there seems to be a touch registered on the bottom left. Not sure what to do to fix this as its really interfering in the way that I hold my tablet.
I sadly unlocked the tablet so I don't think I can rma it? Are there any apps which prevent touches at a certain pixel value?
Anyone have any ideas? The false touch is always registered in the same place.

I had the exact same problem, but it seems that I didn´t cleaned the
screen as I should. It seems that the fingers leave some dirt on it, so
clean it well, and we´ll see if it helps..
could also be a broken digitizer thats what i had.
check with phonetester from playstore
cheers

Thanks, looks like the digitizer is broken.
Any ideas how Asus will be with service if I unlocked it?

So my first transformer was awesome except for the touchscreen that was unresponsive on a whole line across the tablet, the minimal light bleed, and the unbalanced speakers. I decided to rma it with ASUS and sent it back.
I just got it back today. The shipping paper shows a new part for a screen (I'm guessing.. 90R-OK061L20000Y). I immediately installed a multi touch and paint app to check the screen only to find an almost identical unresponsive section of the screen (on both it was unresponsive to the lightest of touch only. Heavy touches still registered.)
My question to my fellow Transformer owners is should I RMA again? Maybe switch to the galaxy tab? Hope its software related and wait for a fix? Our just ignore it?
Anyone else have this problem?

The Transformer is nice especially with dock if all works well, mine does, but if that were me I'd be unloading it and getting a Galaxy 10.1.
I just tested mine with the same paint program. I colored the whole screen with 1 finger and everything seems to be in order. Funny how that program registers 7 finger multitouch but 8 will cause a FC.
Anyway. I would RMA it again. This time stating that the problem wasn't fixed. Maybe put a bunch of post-it notes with arrows all pointing to the spot there it is whacked.

If this really is an issue only with "lightest of touch" I think you would be better off selling the unit. Touch screens often have areas that require more or less contact. The fact that they replaced the screen or digitizer and it does not meet your expectations suggests the settings they are using will not meet your expectations as to the amount of contact required.
Just a quick question, wherever you guys bought your transformer, did anyone buy a warranty through the retailer? Personally I work a BestBuy, so a 1 year with damage warranty was dirt cheap for me, so i bought it, normally I dont get the plans bc I treat my gadgets like angels, but with a 10 inch screen thats only protected by glass I thought I should, especially with all the defects from ASUS going around (although mines working perfect!).
Well as an example when trying to launch an app along the line a hard press is required

Could it be a problem with your fingers? Seems strange you have had problems with 2 lol
Are you saying my fingers is brokeded!?!

he's saying you touched it wrong
well I would insist on a replacement if the issue is still there. You would of thought they would of tested this before it was returned to you.
I would of thought it would be other hardware other than the screen that is defective and they have simply replaced the incorrect part.
I called asus again and they game another rma. They paid for doing too, that's nice. hoping for a fix though.

I've had the Transformer for a week now and happy with it except the screen sensitivity. Really it seems for of an alignment issue. I have trouble closing tabs and selecting text properly. I use thumb keyboard and in landscape it is almost impossible to get the "r" to respond. I have tried running a screen calibration app, but it doesn't seem to do much. My question is this a general problem with the transformer or should I consider returning it?
Hmmm let's see.... rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. No, no problem hitting the R ( or closing tabs)
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
Id return it. As you can see, my "r" works perfectly.

Exchanged it last night with no issues. This one is perfect. The screen is just as sensitive as I would have hoped.
Yup, my first one had a serious screen sensitivity issue. Though, so did my current one, out of the blue, though that went away after a reboot.
If you cleaned the screen using water the touchscreen will be unresponsive for some time (probably registering touch everywhere). Maybe it's the cause of the problem (that went away after the reboot)?
Hey guys so I just picked up my new tf300t last week and loving it. However on the bottom right edge of the bezel the back part seems to have play like a small amount of movement where if you squeeze it creaks, it has been like this from day one out of the box and am wondering if I should return it. I knew tablet quality is often lacking due to design but does anyone else experience this?

Yes, this is normal. I wouldn't bother returning it. The slight play and creaking is just a consequence of the material used for the back of the tablet. Unless it really affects how the tablet functions or its really worrying you I don't think there is anything wrong with a slight creak.
Ok. I have noticed a thread on here on removing the back cover. I'm not sure what kind of clips or tabs will be used to secure the back but perhaps if I removed it and put it back I could fix it. Any recommendations.?

Up to you. Is it actually affecting the performance and usability of the tablet at all, or does the creak just make you feel uncomfortable? I would be tempted to leave it alone and get used to it because if you remove the back you could end up doing more damage, or cracking the screen, plus it will likely void your warranty.
I do not know the severity of the creaks, but if it is really bad, and makes you feel uncomfortable using the tablet I would recommend exchanging it with a new one. Mine creaks when I press it, but only very slightly and I hardly notice it.
On my nexus 4, the screen alignment is slightly off to the right. Because of this, the very right of my screen is usable but the VERY left centimeter of my screen is not responsive to touch. I am rooted, and it has done this on every ROM that I have tried. It is able to be seen through developer options --> show pointer touches. and you can see that maybe if your device is similar, the pointer touch will disappear before you get to the edge. It is an issue because it is impossible for me to type the letter Q with my 'swype' keyboard, and retrieve the HALO on Paranoid Android when it hides on the left side of the screen.
Do you think Google will make a screen alignment for the nexus 4 like HTC does with their phones?
EDIT: After some thoughts on this, the very left CM just may just be unusable, as shown by pointer touches, not a misalignment.

Sounds like it could be a defect in the manufacturing process. I'd RMA that sucka.

Oh no, definitely not normal. If it was a known issue that you couldn't actually use part of the screen because it was unresponsive, nobody would buy this phone
True. I'll contact Google and report back what they have sent me.

edit: They forwarded me to the RMA process, so i'll be doing that.
So I've had my tf300 for around 2 years and I pulled it out of my bag tonight and the touchscreen has become totally unresponsive. I tried to reboot to TWRP and its still unresponsive and now stuck because I cannot unlock it. Anyone have any ideas what happened/how to fix?
Here is something you can try. Not sure it will work, but might and will sure not hurt.
Find the small reset hole (same side as the volume buttons) and find something small enough to go into.
Press and hold it for a while, again holding for a full minute won't hurt.
Make sure you feel the slight bump when you press the switch, but don't press too hard.
Hope it helps, but no guarantees! Fingers crossed!

I always thought that was a mic hole. Only thing I had that would fit is my nexus 5 sim tray tool but it didn't seem to be long enough cause nothing happened.

Try using a paper clip, you should be able to feel like you're pushing down a button.

That's a similar hole at the top side, where the power button is.

I found a lost resistor from old days. Its wire just fit in.

So resetting it might fix the issue of the touchscreen being unresponsive? I've been able to reboot several times but nothing changes

There is a good chance that it does, but of course no guarantees.

No success. I really don't get why it just all of a sudden became unresponsive
I had this on my xperia SP too and a restart fixed it!

hey guys, i have the same problem.. my touch is not working.. but this is due to the cracked screen. My question is: is three a way to connect to the tablet change some settings? something like a teamviewer... i'm asking because i need to stop some alarms on the tablet and because of the cracked screen touch is not working(i will change the digitizer but i need some more time to gather some money).. so if anyone has any solution please share it.
