Just turned mine on and no issues , anything certain you do to cause this to happen ?

No I dont think so. I've noticed it back in january when I bought the phone. I even had it with my old Galaxy S with every 4.2 rom and my friend has the same issue with his Nexus 4. The keyboard is responsive but very slow. I can live without the gesture but its very annoying because I love that feature.

Well it does appear to cause me allot of issues if it is on while playing a game! (CSR racing)

Just did it to me again, and this time the fix was.... Unplugging the headphone cable... Hmmm

Yeah it does it to me periodically throughout the day. Hopefully just a software glitch.

I have just installed a Samsung Keyboard update from the playstore & now when I turn the screen via the on/off button the screen flash really brightly as it come on - Like a white flash light..
Anyone else having this happen?
Same happens to me, but it was already before the keyboard update. Don't know what causes it.

It's a software hiccup and the keyboard update has nothing to do with it. It's present in the device out of the box. It will probably be fixed in the next OTA.

Try a reflash and see if still there... If it is then I Seen this same issue posted here a few weeks ago, hardware issue with the screen to finger touch but the digitiser still works for the Pen. May need to be replaced.
But if it worked fine before flash, I would still lean toward software, maybe you should wipe the cache first and do factory reset later before reflashing?
Lately, I'm experiencing a strange problem with my Note III. Every now and then, the display does not react to anything but the S-Pen. I can sweep my fingers back and forth across the display, absolutely no reaction, I use the S-Pen, everything as usual.
Rebooting solves the problem, at least for some hours.
Has anyone experienced something alike?
Does a factory reset help?
Regards
J

Update:
Now, rebooting doesn't help anymore. I can only use the S-Pen to interact with my device.

Nice so you don't have to worry about your fingers.
Try to reset. Our take back and claim warranty.
