im sure but with hd2 never ill tell you that
I don't know what bugs you are talking about, but more than likely it is the roms. Limitations, then yes, I know of. e.g only 512 rom.
Good moved.
such a shame someone else leaves and buys them self an iphone 4, yeah and your point is??????
To Troll??????
We hardly care that you went and bought an iphone 4.
The lack on Android, well firstly wrong there loads of Builds available, some have a few problems some have none at all so I cant really see your point here,
Secondly buy a Android Device if thats what you want.
The HD2 is probably the best device available, proven by the amount of work the hackers, programmers etc have put into this phone, they have slugged there guts out making things work that was never supposed to.
So have fun with your iphone locked down piece of poop.
Congratulations. You dumped a real smartphone and paid premium price for a outdated locked down app launcher. Multiple operating systems vs one boring operating system? Choice vs restriction? Bad move buddy

Lmao, there is no lack of android!
What is lacking is brain capacity = iPhone user!
There is MANY, MANY roms that work 99.9%. There is MANY, MANY roms that work 99.9% with simple tweaks/modifications.
The reason why you got your iPhone is because you dont have the mental ability or patience to learn. = iPhone user.
Congratulations on your Apple lobotomy, good riddens!
Wish I could find these "bugs" on ny phone but unfortunately my phone works perfectly, Perhaps it was something YOU did incorrectly.

Mate I dont post much but I saw this post and I gotta say, that's the dumbest reason I've ever seen for a person getting rid of a HD2. It is probably the only phone out there which can run almost any ROM so smoothly cus of its high end hardware and also cus the amazing devs who cook really stable and smooth roms for it. This **** is legendary.
Worst decision. Have fun sucking on Steve Jobs' balls even for a thing as little as sending a file via Bluetooth
The phone was too good for you anyway. Have fun with your locked down communist piece of dookie

Hi:
I know this forum maybe bias, but nevertheless, I want your honest opinion.
I am getting rid of iPhone, sick of Apple. Having said that, I am thinking about an Andriod phone.
I was thinking about Nexus S. Any other phone that maybe better than Nexus S? Please recommend. Thanks.
If you can get a good deal for the NS then go ahead.
Otherwise if you can afford, save up for a SGS2. The NS is now 6 months old and officially dethroned by the SGS2.
In terms of functionality, I think the Nexus S can still hold it's own. The fact that it's been 6 months means you'll get a better deal. However, do your research, and figure out what you expect from your device. If you want 720p, TV-out, SD Card storage, other bells and whistles; then, this isn't the phone for you. If you want a reliable device with a pure Google experience not to mention some great ROMs to flash, I would recommend the Nexus S.
Quote from this article that I think is pretty spot on: http://thisismynext.com/2011/05/30/coming-nexus-s/
"So what keeps bringing me back to a somewhat cheap-feeling phone that lacks external storage, Wi-Fi calling, Gorilla Glass, and HD video capture?
I’ve thought a lot about that over the past 24 hours, and I think it has everything to do with quality of the overall experience, not just the hardware or the software alone. The Nexus S is my constant. It does everything pretty well, rather than a few things extremely well and the rest poorly. What I’ve come to realize — for me, personally — is that I’ll take a reliable device with middling specs over a monster with crappy firmware every time. What good is a dual-core phone with a laggy UI?"

It depends on what you mean by "better". If you mean hardware, yes there are so many phones that are better than NS. If you mean pure Google Android experience, nothing is better than the Nexus phone series. But again if you mean software and multimedia, there are better phones than NS out there.
For me, NS is better than any other phone when it comes to customization and flexibility. I can unlock it, root it, flash custom recovery, flash many custom ROMs, or even compile my own ROM/kernel and try it without worrying that I will break the warranty. And if you know what you're doing to your phone, I believe it's safe to say that the NS is unbrickable.

Yes, but so are all other phones as well... There ARE better phones out there. The hardware of nexus s (except for NFC) was outdated already when it was launched. I'd personally think twice before buying a Nexus S today, but I think I'd do it anyway just for its flexibility and I don't think I'll every buy a non-Nexus phone.
What made you sick with Apple and their iOS? Honestly, even tho I've been using Android for a while now, I can say apple's apps are much better made and more professional looking. Android's apps are all ad-ridden, glitchy, and feels second rate.

I've always read the contrary, that rooting WILL void the warranty. Do you have a specific official statement (from Google or Samsung) stating that rooting the Nexus S will not void the warranty ?

AFAIK, what would void your warranty is unlocking bootloader, not rooting.
My point was because you can easily unlock/lock your bootloader and flash ROMs so there's no need to worry if you want to claim your warranty. Just flash a stock nandroid backup, reboot once so the stock recovery is restored, then re-lock the bootloader and you're good to go.

I think most honest people have to say this. I've had an iPod Touch since 2008, and I upgraded to the 4G late last year.
I've been rocking Android phones for a while now, and I still have to say iOS apps rock. I can make one exception where in the Foursquare App you can change the category of a venue while flagging while you can't do that on the iOS app. Don't know why there's this discrepancy. But even the Facebook App is still TRASH on Android. It's been God knows how long and they can't even make the two platforms even in capabilities.
Actually most apps are trash on Android. Reading through posts, people have been saying, "hey don't worry about it, android is still relatively new compared to apple, give it some time for them to clean up their apps, you'll see." And these posts were from 2009.
Fast forward 2 years later to 2011, nothing has changed with android apps. Its still tacky and not at all aesthetic. I don't think android apps will ever improve and considering how fragmented (meaning too many different versions across the various phone makers) it is, I don't think it ever will unless Google steps in and standardizes it.
Lets face it, apple is the Lego of the mobile world while we android users are the megablocks.

Because the Atrix is the greatest phone ever, and if you disagree, you're a troll.
/sarcasm.
GNexus has the 2nd most powerful Android SoC, and only due to LTE compatability issues, yet people are screaming their head off about how "underpowered" the GNexus is. The Atrix won't see ICS officially until July, if ever. 4.0.3 is the official base version of ICS, and Motorola stated that they were waiting for a release to "enable device manufacturers to ship commercial product with ICS." Direct quote from MotoMobility, ie they haven't started on any ICS based ports. Throw that on top of their 2-3 month development cycle and the 3-4 month carrier testing cycle all USA carriers require of their devices and you have a ~6 month delay for major OS updates.
Galaxy is by no means underpowered.... what are people expecting? Quad core 2ghz? Geez.
There are so many Android phones out there, that they have to roll out updates slowly. Thats why i feel alot of people dont like Android. They use a 25 dollar Android phone they got at Walmart and they hated it and now they think all Androids are slow and have crappy resolutions with un responsive touch screens. One of the many reasons I like Apple. 1 phone they have to develop for (well, 3 but generally the same). And will always get updates.
Android screwed themselves over by releasing 18 Android phones under each carrier and people expect updates for every phone when every phone is different.
Atrix 4g should get the update as far as I'm concerned, but I wont throw hissy fits if it doesn't.
People gotta step back and realize its just a phone.

A friend of mine got one, it had Android pre-installed on it (second hand) and the hardware specs are pretty good, but I found the phone not that responsive considering the specs. Thats probably because it doesn't run Android natively I think, but it might just be just this situation.
Since its so cheap, I would really consider it

The phone has a lot of development but I felt it is quite laggy....

When I used it with Android, it was a little bit better, but still laggy....
According to me, don't but it.
It's bad because I really like to have the possibility to switch beetween OS, but if it's laggy...no point to buy it

Yes it is but is it really a worthwhile upgrade? I think he should go for a better phone if he actually wants to upgrade or stick with the galaxy 3 as our devs have recently started working 10 times as hard to bring us awesome development such as MIUI, AOKP, G3MOD 3.1, the new Kyorakernel test version, CM7 the list goes on.
in fact the guy with the HD2 didn't contact me yet so i stay with my g3...

Never. One of my friends had a se x8 (yes its an ancient two years old model). Apart from his sms, contacts and few mp3, the phone rom is literally like its just came fresh from factory. No game, no apps, no nothing. Hell even the market wasnt activated yet, and theres no goggle account linked to that phone. Thats how i realize we the geeks are still minority among masses.
One time, I heard the default CM6 notification tone (Pixie Dust) at a mall and got all excited that someone else was using a modded Android device... But it turned out that the notification came from mine. XD
I know a couple of tech people (a developer and an IT guy), even, who refrained from modding their phones because they didn't see a compelling reason for it.
I've encountered a number of second-hand devices (HTC G1, LG G2X, and HTC Sensation 4G) that were all modded by their previous caretakers, though. The mod versions weren't up to date, and one of them had stability issues, but there they were. I suppose it's possible that people who resell their devices tend to be enthusiasts?

Whoa... That is amazing! If only more stores showed off what these devices were truly capable of, then I daresay they'll attract more informed customers. Though... Given that those of us who mod are used to looking online to learn how to do it ourselves, I guess it might not make so much of a difference in practice. ^^;

That's me. I keep my bootloader locked and my firmware unrooted because root doesn't really provide me anything that I need. I've never really been into the whole custom ROM thing for a lot of reasons. So really, the only reason for me to root is because I can. Not a compelling reason in my book.
I'm happy just keeping my phone straight stock. The stock ROMs are generally very stable even if that comes at the cost of performance.
