Hi , I m having bad signal reception on most of the android build , sometime phone signal disconnected unexpectedly , sometime no signal . But the same issue does not occur when using wm 6.5 at the exact same location.
Tried radio 2.12 and 2.14 , the issue still the same .
try switch to "GSM only" network (2G)
which builds? are they RMNET or PPP. Ive noticed that shrubcraft PPP build does this in areas of poor 3g signal.
PPP builds are known to be a bit flaky which switching between 2g and 3g.
It hapopens to me in a couple areas of work where signal is weak, it will get a few bars hsdpa, loose it, no signal, then go onto gprs, and repeat. its annoying.
Try using RMNET version, tends to be moire reliable.
Same here... it is same on ppp amd rmnet.. in areas where i had full 3g, i have only edge, sometimes weak 3g... i think it is because kernel undervolting i will try normal volted kernel...

running bangster 1.4, tried rmnet and ppp, axi, noaxi and evo, problem still persist.
i m not talking about the 2g or 3g those data conmectivity. the problem is there for only gsm signal.
tried others build, same problem.
bad reception is now on wm rom too.. i`m going to try another wm rom, if problem will be still there, device is going to repair centre.. hope it will be ok than...
my signal is fine but it disconnects from the internet randomly on both ppp and rmnet
It's definitely (for me at least) an Android only problem. On Winmo I get perfect totally stable 3G performance It is THE biggest limitation of Android on HD2 at the moment.

EXACTLY the same issue here!
I was on 2.12 and i installed yesterday 2.14 and got the same problem in android!
The signal disconnected in the middle of the city!!!
I had to switch "ON" the airplane mode and then "OFF" to get it back!
That's disappointing...
Same thing for me! I want definitely abandon wm but so is not possible! Is strange than other people do not report this problem!

Yeah it gets pretty bad sometimes... needs to be fixed...
Did any developer know the reason of causing no signal sometime even outdoor with full signal on anther phone? This is the main reason why i m still keep away my HD2 from android build.

I have no bad reception now
I was having the same problem
tried 2.07, 2.08, 2.10, 2.11 and 2.14 (didn't work fine)

I am using Lestatious Rom and my phone detects very less wifi signals even in the same room where my wifi router is.
Also I have an Xperia X8 non-rooted and non-modded and it detects much better wifi signal even in my other room. Please help. Earlier I was using a mod to enable ad-hoc connection. Also I tried flashing official JPM but still had very poor wifi signal.
Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!
I think it's partly hardware related problem: sometimes I haven't been able to detect the network with weak signal whereas other devices still get the connection. Jpm-wifi doesnt seem to work correctly on my phone: try other roms?

Actually I also tried the stock DDJG6 which came with my phone but no luck still very low wifi signals an my laptop gets excellent signal at the same place but my phone detects the signal as fair. Anyway thanks for your answer/
Hi i use Touch Hd but i have a big problem my phone mostly unavailable I try a lot of solution but problem continiue. Open Wi-fi after drop signal , i click power button signal slowly drop . this can have so many reasons, we would need further information.
what is your country and carrier and what band is that carrier on with gsm and umts? are you certain that the issue does not come from poor network coverage?
have you tried different band and network settings as suggested in the thread linked by twierdzenie?

Okk budy i hope so i found the problem. This is battery drain problem . Pick up your phone and go to good reception area. Dont touch your phone only press by press home button ( home button because phone must vibrate) you will see signal drop slowly after battery drain up signal bars fine.
I close virtual button vibration and auto backlight ( i use Battery Power Light is 3. click and i try it)
I dont know how to close menu tab vibration this is mostly down my battery drain.

Thank you for answer Chef_Tony. I'm from Turkey and i use network type auto - gsm/umts auto. i tried to choose only Gsm band ( close 3g ) phone turn to Edge and signal bars perfect but this is fake for me because actually phone is unavailable.

Does anyone know how can I improve my phone's signal? Sometimes it's very low, or oscilating between 1 and 2 bars. This happens at home, at my office, in closed areas mostly. But it's not a network issue, because I have friends on the same network but with different phones and they don't have this problem. I think it might be some code that I can use in the diagnostics screen to improve my signal, but not sure if I'm right.

The later firmwares solves some of the reception problems with the Omnia 7, but it still is a bad phone when it comes to reception and general HW design, unfortunately...
