▀▄► Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 Charge Fault - Charging Fault ◄▀▄► Many Faulty! Help!
Apparently, Samsung has a huge mess on their hands..
Many GT-i9300 s3 have Charge fault problems..
Charges for 6 seconds then stops...
I have tested the accessories on a perfectly working S3 with Passing results...
So its the phone it self...
Any solution?:fingers-crossed:
Is this going to be the same equivalent problem like the Famous RIM Blackberry 9900??:crying:

Wrong section.

This is development?

Now you, want me, to believe that a random newbie in the internet, and the first one to start such topic, bought 20 new S3's and 4 are faulty with no proof, and even posted in the wrong section..
Nice..

My brother had a charing problem but it was the charger that was the problem.

I had a problem where my phone wouldn't charge then just cleared up on it's own! but I have had a issue with a spare battery and when I called Samsung they replaced no questions asked

Hey. I-9300 here not charging with low battery.
Changed the battery for new one.... nothing changes, not charging.... I charge through a battery charger.
Changed USB cable for other in good state..... again nothing changes...
Rebooted the phone n times, and not charging....
No warranty because is second hand bought.....
I have observed that if you let the phone conected to the charger, when its battery runs out... then... it begin chargin in powered of mode... strange thing....
Any idea????

Strange behavior

I had my Nexus One since last march, and apart from the 2second bug, I had no problems with it at all. I've never rooted it as it is a company phone.
Yesterday, when idle, it rebooted into the bootloader and wasn't responding to anything. I tried to take out the battery at least two dozen times without success until it finally rebooted properly.
The battery wasn't drained (it was at 76% when I managed to reboot) - anyone had similar experience? This is a bit worrying, I don't want to replace my Nexus One for at least two years (or until I fall in love with a phone like I did with this one, and the Nokia N95 before that) I've only had 4 phones since 1999.
- sorry I've posted in the wrong forum, I meant to post this to the Q&A section of the Nexus One forum, I hope a mod can transfer this
any water damage or u dropped your phone by accident¿

Battery life?

Hey guys a friend of mine got this phone about 3 weeks ago and is having some serious battery drain. Like from fully charged to the red in about 3 hours with minimal use. I told her to take it back and get another one. What I would like to know is if this is normal for this phone or just luck of the draw and got a defect. Thanks and apologize if this was already posted or is in the wrong place.

You can go under settings>about phone>battery>what's using battery and see what the highest percentage of use is. That may narrow it down to an app or android process causing the drain. Is the phone rooted or unrooted?
Unrooted completely stock and the screen eats about 97%of the battery. I dropped the brightness to its lowest level disabled wifi and everything else I could think of but the battery life really had no improvement

i only have one battery if nothing else works i may buy a new one...
Remote the battery, plug in and turn on the charger. Wait for a while and put the battery back into the phone.

My condolences But you could just replace the USB port. You can find one very cheap on ebay.
This has happened to me . The usb in the phone has come loose and won't charge.
I thought of fixing it myself but didn't want to **** my phone up. So I found some mains battery chargers from eBay and they are working really well . Charges my batterys well and had no problems in a month now .
The chargers were only 4 pound . So not to bad and you can get a battery with them too but pay a little more .

It's the fastest charging android phone I've ever had (and since October 2008, I average a new android phone every six months).

The battery could deteriorate faster, i don't think a 2A charger would damage the phone i could be wrong but i've used it quite a bit over the past 2 years and never had any problems

Isn't the charging rate determined by the phone itself?
It would be stupid as hell to have the charging rate determined by a (universal) external device!
Yes, the charging amps are regulated by a circuit in the phone. There is not a direct connection from the charging connector to the battery itself. LoL.
Now that's not to say that an over powered charger could not damage the charging regulator circuit over time....

Same here. It's definitely the fastest charging Android phone I've had before. I've had an Acer Liquid, a Motorola Defy and a Nexus S, and it trashes them on charging time. The S3 actually charges in the car when i'm using GPS too, rather than slowly flattening!
