It's the fastest charging android phone I've ever had (and since October 2008, I average a new android phone every six months).

The battery could deteriorate faster, i don't think a 2A charger would damage the phone i could be wrong but i've used it quite a bit over the past 2 years and never had any problems

Isn't the charging rate determined by the phone itself?
It would be stupid as hell to have the charging rate determined by a (universal) external device!
Yes, the charging amps are regulated by a circuit in the phone. There is not a direct connection from the charging connector to the battery itself. LoL.
Now that's not to say that an over powered charger could not damage the charging regulator circuit over time....

Yeah the good thing, we have "removable" battery. Not like some iphony or one X

I wouldn't do that - you'll damage the battery...

Why are you so concerned? I don't think you are keeping the phone for longer than 1 year anyways

Same here. It's definitely the fastest charging Android phone I've had before. I've had an Acer Liquid, a Motorola Defy and a Nexus S, and it trashes them on charging time. The S3 actually charges in the car when i'm using GPS too, rather than slowly flattening!

Hey. I-9300 here not charging with low battery.
Changed the battery for new one.... nothing changes, not charging.... I charge through a battery charger.
Changed USB cable for other in good state..... again nothing changes...
Rebooted the phone n times, and not charging....
No warranty because is second hand bought.....
I have observed that if you let the phone conected to the charger, when its battery runs out... then... it begin chargin in powered of mode... strange thing....
Any idea????
Hi guys, my nexus 4 just arrived, now do I directly start charging it without putting it on or would it be a problem if I turned it on and started using it? Would this make my battery life worse? What do I do? Start charging immeditely or use the battery till it is empty and then start charging?

You can start using it, the battery likely has close to a full charge. Enjoy the phone!

How would you expect to accomplish that with a sealed phone? Maybe a piug-in to the USB?

The same way every other battery case for every other phone works... Just like you said. It's a case that adds a touch of bulk and plugs into the USB port.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
Cool! I didn't know they made those. The only ones I have ever seen were for phones with replaceable batteries and came with replacement back covers.

That's all I've ever seen too. I think one that uses the charging port would be too awkward since it's on the side - one of the huge selling points of this phone is it's edge-to-edge screen/super slim bezel. Another is just how slim it is overall.. so I doubt there's much of a market for something that will bulk up the phone that much, and thus not much of a chance that something like that will be produced anytime soon. Especially since it's already touted as having a fairly long battery life.
I'm ready to buy a 6+. I've got some recommendations for cases, but I'd like to get the same for chargers.
This will be the first phone that I've owned without a removable battery so I'm looking for something portable away from home as well as one for in-home use.

I have this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6859106854.html?orderId=68856457271430
It's a little bit on a heavy side but it has fast charging and it can charge my phone 3 times. I love it.
