OHi everyone,
I bought my nexus 7 on saturday, it was charge at 40%, I fully charged it and ever since my battery status is always at 100% so i waited until sunday afternoon and i turned off itself, when i plugged it in it showed again 100%, any idea of what's happening ?
I rooted it and tried to wipe battery stats but it didn't work, my nexus 7 is a C9O for what it worth.
Up, can it be a material problem knowing that while it first discharged the battery level seemed perfectly accurate?

Well, i got the phone today for christmas. When i powered it up and plugged it into the charger it waas 86% on the phone. I charged it to 100% then tried it for 10 minutes and i noticed that it went down to around 86%.. And i was like WTF so i powered it in again and now its still in there..
I thought that the reason for this is that its a new batter and never been fully charged so it have to be charged for several hours on 100% for it to be fully loaded.. Is this true or what can cause this problem??
Thanks alot in advance!

Let the battery discharge all the way before charging it up again.
It takes a while for a new battery to settle in.
By the way, nice Christmas present!

I don't see the charge going higher then 98% i'm unpatienced or is it really just charging up to 98%?
I was using the wall charger and run a rooted stock.
Try fully charging and deleting battery stats, then empty the battery and recharge it again.

You're lucky mine stops at 97% , but if you look in settings - about tablet, it will show you the actual percentage which will probably 100%. I didn't notice until I installed a custom kernel but it could have started after I rooted the tablet.
So far been lucky with my nexus but one thing that disappoints me is the slow charging .
On a fully drained bat it takes 5 hours to charge with stock charger.
Is this normal for the nexus ? When I opened it out the box I let the bat fully drain before charging, and its taken this long to charge every time.

Is not recommended to drain your battery completely to zero. Google also recommends to charge your battery fully when you first boot up your device. Many don't read the instructions that came with their box. Also if you do a bit of research you would have notice that your concerns have been asked and answered on other threads on here. And my last advice, plug you nexus 10 before bedtime that way is nice and full when you wake up. Problem solved.

I had mine off and charged overnight, woke up to 40% battery life.

5 to 6 hours is normal for a full charge from the A/C charger on a Nexus 10.

Yeah I just realized I was using a 5A charger and not the 10A one that came with.

Mine has got the same problem... I plug it in and it doesn't even load it's just stuck at 0%... + light bleed + slow gaming - Google/Samsung did not do a good job... Its seems like its just a prototype, a beta version....
Hello there !
Recently I've changed battery (previous battery's condition was terrible) on my Nexus 4, according to guy who sold me battery it's original (it look the same like the old one). Sadly after changing it my phone is acting weird. For example I charged it to 100% , I unpluged my charger and in few second it changed from 100 % to ~70 %. Then it was behaving OK, according to battery options my Nexus had enough battery to live for next 3 days ,after 1 or 2 days battery died. Few minutes earlier i charged it (LED diode was green , phone was turned off) ,updated my CM via recovery and after turning on it had only 59 % battery. Currently I'm using my Nexus without SIM card.
Is it phone issue or I should just contact with the guy who sold be this battery and ask for refund/new one ?
That is weird about the battery. How much was the battery? I think oem batteries are around $25?
Yep, 20-25$
In this case, I would ask for a replacement.
My nexus 4 had Red light anytime when i try to charger it. I try ro replace a new battery . any solution?? Thanks

Hi I just solved the same issue today.
I opened the phone up, unplugged the battery, then unplugged everything I could find, replugged everything back, and that did it.
It is to be noted that I replaced the card with the USB port on it. Twice in less than six months. I hope I won't have to open that phone again, and that your phone will run again.

I replaced my battery with one from eBay hoping for the battery life to be restored. Sadly, although it works, battery life remains about 6 hours
I also get the red flashing light when I charge (even with the new battery) but it eventually goes away and starts charging.
Maybe the part with the USB port is damaged somehow. I also had battery life issues. Looking at the wakelocks it turned out it was the slim port (the USB hdmi thingy). Since I replaced that part, my battery life seems restored.
Have a look at wakelocks and alarms with apps such as Better Battery Stats.
