Hello there !
Recently I've changed battery (previous battery's condition was terrible) on my Nexus 4, according to guy who sold me battery it's original (it look the same like the old one). Sadly after changing it my phone is acting weird. For example I charged it to 100% , I unpluged my charger and in few second it changed from 100 % to ~70 %. Then it was behaving OK, according to battery options my Nexus had enough battery to live for next 3 days ,after 1 or 2 days battery died. Few minutes earlier i charged it (LED diode was green , phone was turned off) ,updated my CM via recovery and after turning on it had only 59 % battery. Currently I'm using my Nexus without SIM card.
Is it phone issue or I should just contact with the guy who sold be this battery and ask for refund/new one ?
That is weird about the battery. How much was the battery? I think oem batteries are around $25?
Yep, 20-25$
In this case, I would ask for a replacement.

Hi to all,
i've a big problem with my Touch HD.
about 1 month ago batteries of my phone starting to degrade (i've 2 battery : the original 1 of 1,350mh and a second bought from ebay of 1,500mh).
At the beginning, even after a full night of charging, the battery charge was at max 70%, with the phone lasting no more than a couple of hours with low usage.
Suddenly the thing get worts and even after 1 or 2 full days of charge the battery gain max 5% of charge, with phone lasting 10/15 minutes!
I'd think about some battery problem (strange to both at the same time, but who knows?) and I've bought another original battery.
Well, THE SAME EXACTLY PROBLEM, with the battery not charging more that 5%, even after 3 days!
The salesman where i've bought the phone (an electronic superstore) said me that probably it's a Phone Software failure... It really could be? and what can i do to fix it?
Obviously, I've also the problem that at the moment a not-original bootloader + rom is on the phone, so probably HTC will say to me that warranty is now broken... Any possibilities to reload the original fullpack in any way without the battery?!
thx
You can try charging your battery with a universal Li-ion battery charger and then put it back inside HD and remove the 'illegal' stuff, before sending to HTC
I have an external charger and I've tried to charge all the 3 battery..
After few mins charger led turn from red to green... so I've checked the battery with a tester and i've found che all the batteries are fully charged...
So the phone could be totally f***ed up?!
is there someone that could have any idea on how much it will cost to change the motherboard (i've read somewhere in internet that it could be my problem) out of warranty?
thx
I have read some phones getting very hot during some game and programs. My case is somewhat different. Charged my phone fully when i was going to bed. I heard battery full notification and unplugged it. After 6 hours or so sleep I saw the battery almost depleted and phone very very hot. I use green power and my batteries were behaving quite well. Battery information was showing that friendcaster was using %48 whereas it should generally be AOS. I think something is wrong with batterystats too, because I popped out the battery and reinserted, put it on charge but it still shows 6 hours and more battery use. I remember that every time I restart charging the on time would fall to zero. During the last week I've been using 1900 mah Anker batteries charged on their charger. This one is the original battery. I charged it on the charger, but put some more juice when it fell to %90, but on the phone this time. This is when I heard battery full notification. Now it is on charge, but the on time is stuck to 6h 32m 42s. How do I reset it? And what can be the reason of this strange behavior?
If you have used an iffy 3rd party battery you may have roasted the chip on the SGS2's mobo that monitors the battery.
The way to clean the SGS2's battery history is to:
Charge to 100%
Discharge till the phone turns itself off
Charge to 100% in one sitting.
If its still not playing ball, then your best bet is to put it back to stock (if you have rooted/installed newer stock or custom roms via odin) use a USB jig to reset the flash counter, and take it in (just take it in with the original battery, don't say anything about the 3rd party one.)
Thanx for the reply, but I replaced samsung battery with anker %100 charged and battery time fell to zero. Working as it should be and the phone is cooled.

I got a t330nu and have had some wierd things happen with the battery that I've not experienced with other mobile electronics. First, one cold winter day (I live in the north were it snows alot) I was driving and my battery died, I accidentally left it in the car overnight and when I plugged it in the next day it was at like 87 percent. I unplugged it and it remained at 87 percent for maby 2 hours and then screen went black and it died. It still showed 87 percent untill it died. Plugged it I and charged it back up and everything was normal. I haven't wanted to try to replicate it cuz I don't want to have to replace the battery.
Next wierd thing is sometimes when I use an underpowered charger or my car charger, it shows the plugged in but not charging icon and it actually is charging, my battery says like 2 percent but it will last for hours. I don't like doing this but it has happened on occasion.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts on the freeze charging? Comments, questions are welcome. But don't hate lol.
Forgot to mention, I've had this for over a year and battery seems fine given the age. I can usually use it all day on a full charge depending on what I'm doing. But GPS kills it in like 3 or 4 hours and some other games and apps drain it stupid fast. Any tips on kernels or roms that help with battery life?
I dont think that leaving tablet to low temp fr 12 hrs or so wont damage it that much, i got my 7.0 version and walked to school at -27 celsius and it lost none % (walked like 15 mins)
I bought a new battery and calibrate it but when I fill up to 100% off the charger and the batteries will decrease by 1% every few seconds.
Does anyone have a similar problem and how can I fix it ?

Those are new? That doesn't sound right. Does the battery have any visible bulging on it, for a test try spinning it on a table, if it spins easily it's bad. Another thing to test would be to charge it to 100% either externally or with the phone off, then to test it's current charge with a multimeter, it should read around 4385 mV give or take a bit.

I've got the same problem. I have 3 genuine batteries and 2 extended batteries from MPJ which worked really good at first then after 2 weeks. The battery life of my S5 is getting terrible. It's already 50% with 30mins screen on time with small usage like browsing but I do have 4G on all the time but it used to be that I can use the phone all day with no problem with 4G or WiFi on all the time.
Hi guys, about a month ago accidentally I dropped my phone, when I picked it up it was a bit thicker than usually so I opened it and the battery was a bit swollen and one of the corners from above was broken imgur.c om/a/KMLiaG2 . I knew that the swollen batteries should be changed because the risk of getting on fire or explosion, so I bought a new battery from a Telekom Shop, the only shop with batteries from my city imgur.c om/a/GOCQktK . I noticed that the new battery made in china is suddenly draining fast when reaches 37% and dies when it reaches 30%. I did numerous battery calibrations, deleting batterystats.bin, letting it in charge over night, factory resetting my phone but it was useless. It was still dying at 30%. I was going back to that shop and they ordered a new battery to change the defective one. After 3 days it arrived and guess what, this battery is draining fast as well, when reaches 25% till 5% and dies. If I use my old battery it still working good. I can use it 6-7 hours with no problems, but the batteries made in china are keeping about 3-4 hours till it start to drain fast. What's the problem? My phone has become accustomed to the old battery? For real now, 2 new battery in row and both of them are defective? Also, I noticed today that the new battery was 20% while charging, so I restarted the phone and it was 52%. Also, how is possible that my phone with new battery shows that the apps that use my battery are only 50%? I know that about 15% is used by phone background, but what is using the rest of 35%? imgur.c om/a/DEvd4F what's the problem??
That's just typical of cheap batteries. Unless you order an original online than your wasting your time.
Look up other manufacturers aswel with a good reputation.
