[Q] Not A valid Win 32 Application - HD2 General

Hello all,
i'm trying to install Windows 7.5 on my HD2, but I can't install any of the required programs/application because of the error in the title. Can anyone please advise what this error is and how I can fix it? Thanks in advance.
Indy

Windows Mobile programs have - like most of the other Windows programs - the extension EXE. When you try to run a Mobile program under W32 (normal Windows) the error message from your title appears. Seems as if you're doing something wrong. What guide do you use?

Pocket Streets

Anyone have this program running on their O2? I am having trouble running it, when I try to install the program it says "Pocket Streets for smartphone.CAB is not a valid windows CE setup file" Any ideas why its not working for me? Thanks
It's not working because you've downloaded a smartphone version while you need a Pocket PC version of the program

WLMMessenger is not a valid Pocket PC application.

Hi all,
Just downloaded Windows Live version 10.8 out of the wm marketplace but when I try to start up the application I get this error:
WLMMessenger is not a valid Pocket PC application.
Any one who knows how to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot already!
Rick
Problem fixed!
Solution:
WM Marketplace does not softreset the device after the installation.
So after installation manually do a softreset and all programs are working

Shutdown/Restart Command Windows Mobile

Hello,
Can someone give me a hint, how to Shutdown and Restart (Soft-Reset) Windows Mobile Devices with .netCompactFramework 3.5?
Is there somewhere a special file like shutdown.exe on Windows Systems wich I can run with parameters to shutdown/restart the device?
Thanks for help!

Click to collapse
try this...
maybe can help you
just install Mortscript
and make a script named as you want
with just the word
Reset
your file must be named xxxxx.mscr
You'll probably need to P/Invoke.
SetSystemPowerState is the function you'll want to use, though the exact implementation of it varies a little from device to device.

[Q] Signed Xap deployment issue (enterprise application)

Hi
Client has signed the Xap(Windows Phone 8 Application) and is trying to deploy using application deployment tool.
but is getting following error.
"Installation of the application failed. Run time error has occured. Fix the capabilities in WMAppManifest.xml file."
Xap is working fine without signing. What could be the Issue?
Please help
Thanks
Enterprise apps are supposed to be deployed differently from unsigned ones... try emailing the .XAP and opening the attachment on the phone.
Also, this is the Windows 8 forum. It is not a Windows Phone forum. You are in the wrong place.
