Urgent help required (touch screen problem)

i have a mda vario 2 ( hermes) i've been installed a rom called hermes_wwe_3.62 Malina2d now phone boots up fine but the touch screen dose not work at all ! can anyone help ? .
To get pass the alignment screen i had to create a file on storage card " welcome.not" and that got me pass alignment screen.
now i am a newbie so please all the help would be appreciated i did have a look for file called touch.dll to replace it but could find one. ( as i read somewhere that might be the problem.
my ipl -1.04 & spl-2.10.01ipro
i really don't know what to do i have tried to re flash the rom no luck there.
all the hardware buttons work fine.

Not sure about that one. Why not post the question in the thread from where you got the rom? That name doesn't ring a bell.
If not try flashing the stock shipped rom, or the at&t stripped to see if the issue goes away. If it does go away, then don't use that rom.

cant really remember where i got the rom from as i the phone is my little sisters. do you have a link for the rom you suggested

My sig has the stripped rom, and the shipped at&t roms. You can also find some programs and my roms there too.
And to be safe make sure that hardspl is installed.
If that doesn't fix it, there might be a hardware issue.

cheers for your help. i am going to download one of your roms and pray that might resolve the issue . what the latest hardspl ? i thought 2.10 was the latest ? how do i tell what is the on i have installed on the phone ? Hardspl and spl are they the same thing ?

If you flash one of mine, flash the at&t rom first, that will straighten out any issues with the memory.
if you have 2.10olipro, your all set! spl (or hardspl) is the bootloader.

no luck still having issue with the touch screen wont wont work.

the touch screen used to work fine before. all this it just became very laggy so i decided to upgrade the rom , i went to thru a few roms.
any other idea ?

i must say i do love your rom everything is set out all nice and neatly shame the touch isn't working.

Sounds like it has some kind of hardware issue. If your inclined to take it apart carefully (I haven't taken mine apart yet), you might be able to check all of the connections, and for dirt or anything that might be the issue.
I believe there are disassemble instructions on the wiki.
Maybe someone with more experience in taking the phone apart can chime in.

touchscreen issue
i m having the stupid touchscreen issue i have tried everything ( including disassembly and removing gasket but it still does not calibrate
starting to hate that phone

Sounds like Digitizer could be dead.... Need to replace the LCD and Digitizer if thats the case.
The trouble with this is there are a few different things that could be causing this and just replacing the LCD might not fix it.
Sounds like it could be though. If you are having trouble, DON'T do a hard reset until you have installed an app called "remote screen alignment", freeware off the net. It copies the alignment info to the PC so you can do a quick alignment using the PC instead of the buggered screen. Otherwise you'll be going in circles for ever without being able to get into the today screen.

actually i have hard reset the device
the trick is to put a file called welcome.not on memory card to skip first time alignment
i'll change screen and see if it fixes itself later
i ll use the phone as it is till then

new lcd
i changed the lcd it worked flawlessly for 3 weeks then bang! the bottom half of the lcd stop to work
i think that the ribbon on the lcd got damaged when i installed it on the hermes the fact that it needs to be turned 360 degrees during assembly cause the problem any thoughts from you guys????

Please help..camera issue

After a rom update my camera worked like in screenshots..Thought it may be a rom problem, but i saw it in another 3 roms too..! Nobody reported such problem in the roms thread so it must be me..
Maybe a bad flash or something?? Always doing hard resets after flashing etc.. It is also getting sometimes back to normal colours and working ok..but most of the time works like this.. What can i do?
( when i changed the stock case with one from ebay that did hold the hd firmly from the top the camera mostly behaved ok..that made me fear that it is maybe a faulty camera in my phone..but again..it worked like charm for months, and gone like this after a certain rom update..)

I thought the same as nokiaman at first but, looking closer, it looks more like a complete missing colour or maybe the white balance not working?

HD2 camera problem

Does anybody have an idea as to what is causing my camera to take pictures like the attached screen shot? I have searched and came up with nothing. I don't know if it is a hardware problem or not. it used to take normal pictures and when this started, i could change some of the image properties and get it to work, but now nothing fixes it. I am running Energy sept 20 23XXX build and camera version 6.26 build 2012.1425 any help is greatly appreciated

It happened to me once when I forgot the white Balance on Flaurecsent,went back to normal after setting the White Balance and the ISO to AUTO.

Did you make any recent ROM or Radio changes before this started happening? Has the phone been dropped/soaked/smashed or any other possible damage?

No nothing,Im still on tweaked Stock Rom 1.66.707,I had exactely the same kind of pictures when noticed about the settings,actually it was my son, who also has a HD2, brought it to my attantion.

i had the same problem after flashing. i grabbed this exe from htc. its a camera hotfix. put it on your SD and run it. it will update your camera software. after installation, soft reset.

I have a Viewsonic Viewpad 10s and some problems with the screen, I flashed at first the version Vegacomb 9n + Update 3. At the beginning it was wonderful but then the screen does not work properly. Even after a reboot did not care much. I went to ClockworkmodRecovery and flashes Honey Ice, it was back to normal. Some time later came the same problem, can someone tell me what it is?
The other question is, what ROM is to recommend the best? The tab is a Christmas present, I do not want to have again after 2 days because it is not reasonable ...
I am in a German forum, but there are not really someone who has the problem with the screen ...

I had the same problem with my Viewpad 10s with Vegacomb, HoneyIce and newer roms. One of the original issues was using it while it was plugged into the charger the screen became either unresponsive, or would randomly apply keystrokes that were not touched. Two people posted solutions, heating the outside of the tab with a hair dryer, and putting more pressure on the tab (squeezing the case) as you were touching the screen. I did find the extra pressure did help, but it was crazy trying to get the pressure just right. also noticed that screen worked differently in portrait and landscape mode. I often had to use portrait mode to slide the unlock across, while landscape would not allow the tab to unlock.
I decided to "downgrade" the rom to stock, it worked, then to modified stock, it worked but had some touchscreen inconsistencies, then to Corvus 5 rom, which I read somewhere solved other peeps touchscreen problems. Once I got Corvus 5 up and unlocked, I used his screen recalibration tool in apps and everything works perfect. I've been up and running for a month with no touchscreen problems. I even backed up Corvus 5, and tried Vegacomb and HoneyIce again. They worked for a couple of days, and then tab went back to touchscreen issues. I'm thinking it's a kernel sensitivity issue, but I'm know expert, and it's not happening on enough tabs for devs to take as a serious issue.

you are one of the lucky ones man..i tried Corvus 5, true the method you described and still have the issues, well..actually i tried every single Rom and no luck.
I know it's mostly a hardware problem, the only differences in Rom's is the heating they produce, some more, some less..so depending on how bad your case is, you might find a balance and make it work for some time..or no time..
By the way, anyone knows if it's possible to disable the touchscreen inputs, from terminal, adb commands or maybe some app?

LG G2 Display Issue

Hello everybody i have been using this phone for months (i bought in july 2014) and sometimes an issue comes up.
As you can see by the photo there is a vertical white line on the right of the display. I noticed that is more visible on a gray scale and if i use a program like BURN FIX for 10 minutes or so, the line tend to vanish.
Does anybody know what is this? Thank you.

I haven't had any white line issues with my g2, but you could try the JDI kernel. If that doesn't help then it is a hardware issue and you have to get it to warranty service, just flash stock rom AND check that under download mode you have unrooted.

about a few months ago i had another vs980 black that i also ordered the lcd assy.
guess what
it had same problem but i was also having a knock issue but that turns out i just needed to add a piece of tape to make it contact better.
anyhow the screen was like this one and like the guys above after i flashed the cloudy or xdabbeb
cant rem exactly but anyhow i had been trying and trying to get the knock fixed but in process fixed the white screen somehow on that phone.
i was flashing different bootloaders and all kinds of custom roms but in the end it was an official stock 26a vzw rom but the problem i had alredy fixed somehow so i flashed that hoping it would stick and it did.
i do not know or remember exactly how i fixed it but it did.
well onto this white vs980 that i had also flashed custom stuff too also
this phone had a cracked digitizer so i used a usb otg cable and my mouse to get around
the lcd worked fine.
well today i got my new screen and swapped it out
guess what
those same white lines and white screen
guess what?
the phone was on xdabbed and twrp 2.8.2.0 (i think) but anyhow i think something not right is happening when we have custom rom on.
this is my 2nd screen (new) that it has done this on.
there is a way to fix out by flashing stuff but i have no idea how i did it.
i was trying to fix the knock on so i tried the touch firmware update a few times.
anyhow i dont think this is hardware related so is there a way to tell if i have a jdi or jdl screen?
right now im on stock official vzw 26a and am thinking about flashing the stock 27a
any info would be great

Hello,I have the same problem on my lg g2,at the end of this story I dont know if the problem is in hardver or softver,and if I insert a cloudy g3 rom will I fix the white line problem,tnx in regrete.
