Hello folks,
my friend's mother is in Israel, and I want to know where she can find a place that sells the Nexus 7 in there, if there's though.
She's going to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
The 8GB edition that i found is 466$ or 1800 Isreali Shekels.
http://www.gomobile.co.il/Product.aspx?ProductID=3464
It's pretty high but you can also order from a store that order it for you from USA
in 400$ or 1530 Israeli Shekels: http://usa.buy2.co.il/BUY2USA/HotDeals/index/אלקטרוניקה ומחשבים
It's in hebrew but you can easily translate it to English by Google Translate.

Hey,
My family are planning to fly to Greek, and it will be much cheaper for me to buy it there then buying it in Israel.
There is a popular store there, like Clove or something?
Thanks
You mean Greece
'Germanos' are the first electronics chain that brought them, AFAIK.
Now Vodafone stores have them too, for about 550 euros.
There is a number of greek internet shops that stock them too, but I don't know if any can be considered 'popular'.
The phone was only very recently released in Greece, so the choices are limited. Most Greeks that have it, have ordered it from abroad.
I found a store on skroutz, which listed it for 490, just a week before the greek introduction by cosmote. It doesn't have greek as a keyboard option though, while the OS can be changed to greek. For me this wasn't an issue, but you should be carefull where you buy yours from, if you re looking for T9 and a greek keyboard, .
On the other hand I dunno if the one Cosmote or Vodafone offer, lists greek as input option either.
I don't need a Greece keyboard. I'll flash it and then install hebrew fonts and hebrew keyboards.
550-500 euro is very very high! look at clove price
Hello everyone,
I was having this question and HTC support answers to this in a very cryptic manner so I don't get a real picture. I assume that people here, especially those who live outside UK could help.
You see, when you login to https://www.htcsense.com/ for the first time, you are required to select your country. As you see, for Europe, only the following countries are listed:
•Danmark
•Deutschland
•España
•France
•Italia
•Magyarország
•Nederland
•Polska
•Sverige
•United Kingdom
•Česká republika
•Россия и СНГ
Now, I live in Cyprus and as you see, not even Greece is listed.
I don't really know what all the services there are about but from past experienses, like the Apple store, I understand that many online features could be related to the country, so if my country is not listed there, that feature will be unavailable.
HTC support, informed me that I should buy from local store instead of abroad and now my question is the following:
If I buy locally, it will be about 600 Euros but if I buy from UK shop or eBay, it will be about 100 less. So, if I do buy from UK, will I lose any online functionality from htcsense? in other words, is the phone IMEI or SN locked to a country and can only register there?
Hello, I'm about to do a trip in Vietnam in december, and I just found this website :
http://www.vatgia.com/home/quicksearch.php?keyword=galaxy+tab+10.1
The wifi only version is sold around 9,500,000.00 VND (450$) wich is really cheap for where I live (France).
I wonder if the unit sold in asia can be set in french or english language, and also if there is any internationnal warranty ??? ...
Thx !

They're pretty cheap in the US too. I actually got a deal on mine when it launches (yeah, go figure...). Paid $429 for a brand new 16GB.
To be honest I would not by it personally.
If your tab will get a fault (touch the wood), sending to Vietnam might be quite a problem...

in canada i bought mine with a sim card with a 3 yrs data plan.
the result : Tab 10.1 4G+wifi 16GB 349$ woot!!
In fact I was looking for a replacement of my galaxy tab 7.0 and I thought the new Samsung would be the best choice. I hadn't taken a look at the tablet market from the day I bought my old galaxy tab. It looks that there are plenty of choices with other brands for less cheaper ! The acer iconia 500 and the asus transformer are in my range of prices, so I'm currently deciding for one of them ...
I'd sooner buy local, theres been time I needed to take faulty items back.
I purchased an N7 16g for my dad who is French and lives in France, but I live in the US and bought it at Walmart.
At first glance I see an option to select UK English and Spanish but not French.
Is there a way to make this unit work as a French one? Is he going to have problems within the Google store? I was trying to do a good thing, not get him a poisoned gift.
EDIT: looks like the limited choice is only in the quick setup wizard. Later you can choose more options in settings.
Not sure if there will be a problem telling it to use the French Play Store
These tablets have no sort of region locking or similar limitations whatsoever. You will not have any problems using it in France with French language.

Hi members...
I reside in Thailand. I've bought a Google Nexus 4 white model in the USA, via VPN, and having my sister
mail it to me by USA priority mail.
My sister will repackage the original Google packaging...
But...in order to reduce the chance of paying Thai duty, what do you (seriously) suggest should she indicate as contents of the package??
thanks for your help.
