[Q] Can't install Android - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hello guys... So I had one android rom on my phone and wanted to install other... So I downloaded 3.14.482.2(Greek Version), extracted the files, copied RUU_signed on my formatted sd card (fat32), renamed it to leoimg, insert sd card to my phone and did all the instuctions... After successfully restoration I go to the red green blue screen, connected pc and phone with usb and when "Serial" changed to "USB" I run the HSPL4 and installed the 2.08 non-H version... Now when I try to use task 29 it's stuck on 0% I tried the hd2toolkit task29, the doloop task29, the task 29 with 2.15.50.14 but all stuck at 0%... I tried to skip it and continue without I can't install nothing all stuck at 0%... Please help...

There was no need to restore windows just to flash a new Android rom, a huge waste of time.
You say you set 2.08 non h version,, ,,,,,, the non h version is stock and won't allow any of the flashing you need, that's why everything fails at 0%.
Run hspl4,choose 2.08.hspl and try again.

samsamuel thank you it worked... but I read somewhere that android and wp7 support 2.08 only... And how else i can install new rom?

HD2 Bricekd - WSOD...

My device spec -
HTC HD2 - SPL-1.42.HSPL
Cotulla HSPL
Radio 2.08
ROM - Energy Series 23554 6.5.5
I had the phone on charge, I took it of the charger to make a call and found it had frozen. Removed the battery and restarted the handset and got the WSOD. This has happened before and I simply put it into bootloader mode and reset which fixed it. This time though this did not work. Now I have a HD2 stuck on WSOD when powered on.
If I try to flash it I have to have it in bootloader mode and connect it to the usb. However it gets to the loading screen and goes no further (left it on for 20 minutes). I am able to flash through the storage card which shows success, but when the handset is restarted again all I get is WSOD. Because of this I am unable to flash a OEM Rom, have downloaded the official Rom from HTC support and even extacted the nbh file and copied to my storage card, but it will not run. I can see that it tries to execute the flash but then goes straight into bootloader mode.
I have tried to run task29 but again because it has to be run through the usb it does not run past o%. I have also tried and am still trying mtty, but Windows 7 refuses to install the drivers provided in the post, and so am unable to loacate the device under USB. Is there anything else I could try to revive my HD2?
Thanks in advance for any help
try hspl2 to hspl 2.08 for rom NRG.after flach back NRG
Ok thanks will try that. I just extracted the nbh from the official Rom renamed it to LEOIMG.nbh and ran from the storage card. It started to run then stopped with the error- "Update Termintate UPDATE FAIL"
Any ideas....
Are you sure you have HSPL and not SPL? Double check, I made the same mistake before and it sits on 0%. If you have HSPL I would flash HSPL2 2.08 HSPL and try again.
Give this a go..!!!
Bro don't flash through the memory card..!!!
Just use the PC Platform method & flash the original ROM, I am 100% sure it'll work..!!!
Just lemme know if works for you..!!!
Best of LUCK..!!!
PS : - You gotta go to the BOOT LOADER & flash..!!!
Thanks for all your help. I used HSPL2 and updated to 2.08 and all is fine now. Gonna run a task29 now and reload the Rom.
Thanks again guys, amazing as ever!!!!
Cool, njoy flashing now..!!!
MOD's please close this thread..!!!

[Q] How to install MAGLDR for installing Android 2.2 or 2.3 on HD2?

I read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620
about how to install android 2.2 on HD2, but I can not get MAGLDR 1.13 installed first. I downloaded the package and ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe, it says updating ROM verion 3.14.831.3 to 2.00.000.0, I proceed with next, then the phone went to 4-colour screen mode, shows SPL version is 3.03. Later on, it goes to black screen with only HTC logo the 0% progress bar on. Few minutes later, the installation on my computer said error[262], update error.
I wasn't sure if I need to downgrade the SPL to 2.08, as people said in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=829954 it does not matter.
My HD2 has the lastest rom listed on HTC - HongKong English support site.
Please advise what I need to do to get MAGLDR installed?
Thank you.
That thread is from before MAGLDR even existed. You need 2.08.HSPL to flash MAGLDR.
You can get all the info you need here .

Thanks for your reply.
I just got the HSPL4 and installed the 2.08.000, not 2.08 SPL on my HD2.
But when I tried to install the MAGLDR 1.13 again, it did the same thing again, it goes to black screen with only HTC logo the 0% progress bar on. Few minutes later, the installation on my computer said error[262], update error.
Any idea?
It seems I need to install 2.08 SPL, not 2.08.000 in HSPL4.
It works fine now.
u need 2.08HSPL and a 576mb ram radio..

Is this HD2 screwed?

Okay guys, am I screwed?
I tried putting android on this HD2.
I successfully installed HSPL 2.08 HSPL (So NO 2.08.0000)
Then I tried installing MAGLDR 1.13, just by executing the ROMUtilityUpdater.exe.
Clicked the first checkbox, then the 2nd, and then that 'Update' thingy.
It was going to updating from 1.72.XXXXX to 2.00.0.000 (or something)
I had it connected through Activesync (WinXP).
It was ready in 30seconds, instead of the normal 10 minutes.
Now it just hangs on the White HTC bootscreen.
I tried doing a Task29, but in the RGB Bootloader (USB connected) screen it won't connect to ActiveSync. I Ran it anyway, but still no Windows or MAGLDR.
Do I need to install a different Radio? If so how do I do that and where can I find it?
I am downloading a stock WinMo 6.5 Rom (vodafone branded, from HTC.com)
Thanks for all the help in advance!
had simillar problem. I would just install the latest Windows ROM 3.03 but thru SD card (Download official 3.03 ROM for Your phone, extract it, change the nbh file name to LEOIMG, put it on Your SD card, Switch the phone on holding volume button down, and then go with the instructions on the screen) cuz it changes Your SPL, then install HSPL 4. After that install CLK and CLOCKWORK and then NAND Your device with clk version android.
Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021837 if You dont know how to install clK. It is a bit complicated but if You are a bit computer literate You should be ok.
Okay, thanks!
I installed a stock vodafone rom, it is booting now!
so where do i find 2.15 pesky radio 2.15 rom?
I installed HSPL using HSPL in the first place

[Q] Half Bricked HTC HD2 Leo, How to revive

This phone came to me to upgrade to Win7
I used HSPL and installed 2.08 HSPL OK
But the phone will not connect to active Sync
I tried to flash in Bootloader mode, YET didnt work.
So I Installed Win 6.5 again all ok,
Still tried Win7 again, didnt work and phone cant boot complete again
I used SD card to flash win 6.5 ok, but cant connect to Active Sync
So I did Task 29, but it stops on 4%
Now phone can only stay in hspl 2.08 (I cant put normal 2.08)
Anyway, now phone can only flash to 1% by PC
By SD Card it fails around 4% (on RADIO V2)
Its a LEO (not TMOUS)
Ideas pls
HM you tried to flash WP7 rom using three colour bootloader mode_? you need to install magldr 1.13 first to install WP7 rom. You actually cant flash WP7 rom using phones original bootloader.
If you go to bootloader mod using Vol down and power menu Activesync will not detect your phone but you are still able to flash HSPL 2.08.
You can also perform task 29 using MTTY tool.
I dont recommend you flashing stock rom using SD card as it overwrite HSPL and in latest Shiped roms SPL is updated to version 3.03 which is not compatible with Magldr 1.13.
If you are stuck in HSPL try first to install HSPL 2.08 using HSPL4. You can find hspl4 here in forum just search.
After you installed HSPL2.08 using HSPL4 install Magldr 1.13 go to Services in Magldr Menu and select uselast24MB in NAND. Now you are ready to flash WP7.
Go back to main menu in Magldr and select USB Flasher mode and connect the phone to PC. Run flasher on the pc and flash. After that phone will reset.
Also make sure that your SD card is compatible with WP7 rom. Not all work with Windows Phone 7 Rom. I use sandisk 4gb and it works well.
just remember ANYTIME you flash a stock rom you are going to loose EVERYTHING (Hspl, MAGldr/cLK, CWM, etc) so you have to start from scratch to get anything (aside from winmo 6.x)
good luck

Rom not booting, only magldr, need to get back to stock

Hi .... I had an hd2 for some time which got kept in the locker for too long..The status as of now is like this.
1. MIUI ROM installed on NAND doing bootloops
2. SD Card formatted .. so no recovery
3. Trying to use magldr usb storage disconnects the phone
4. Can get into the red yellow green screen with status showing usb but when i try to run a stock rom it cannot find the device.
Magldr 1.13 is still running and I have hspl 2.08
Is there any way i can get back the stock firmware installed? Any help will be appreciated. thanks!!

Have you tried flashing a stock ROM from the SD card? The procedure is outlined here, it doesn't seem too hard. Since you can't connect in MAGLDR use an SD card reader to copy the stuff across.
why no recovery; recovery in magldr 1.13 is stored in nand.So you can go magldr--->ad recovery and run recovery.then wipe all userdata and see if your rom starts again working ok

Well, you say it doesn't connect to the PC but what about in MAGLDR? As in the USB flasher? If it does, just flash a new version of CWM (probably through the NAND Toolkit).
If that doesn't work, try a stock ROM from the SD Card and start over.

I was trying to use the USB Flasher earlier and the installation would fail halfway through with various errors.. Tried with 4 different roms.. So decided to do a stock rom from sdcard .. tried a WWE and got an error 28002...couldnt get into magldr even now... Anyways got Task29 ..booted in the red yellow green screen and doing a wipe+hspl+magldr+recovery. As of now it stuck on 0% at the wipe process but it does say 10 minutes for flashing and its been only 2. Lets see.....
Ok the situation as of now is this... Tried installing a stock rom which gave me spl 3.03 ... Magldr no longer working. Task 29 fails to install anything. Trying to install a stock ruu.exe from the rgb screen tells me that the update utility cannot be used for my phone.
Any ideas??

So now in the bootloader it says that you have SPL3.03 rather than HSPL 2.08 right? In that case, maybe try reflashing HSPL then MAGLDR etc. because these won't flash unless you have HSPL. I assume that your main aim is to go back to Android after you've sorted this out anyway.
The way I see it - get HD2 toolkit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Install HSPL 2.08 like Nigeldg said and flash magldr or clk anew. I personally use clk 1.5 and it's childlishly easy to use and I had absolutely no prolems. I attached a zipped .nbh file you can flash after HSPL from HD2 toolkit. It's a new clk with recovery. It's obviously not mine, but I can't remember the thread I got it from (I keeep it just in case since downloaded). You can repartition from your phone then and install whatever ROM you need from recovery. The only problem can be flashing HSPL - if this doesn't go well you'd have to do it from SD like someone suggested.

Yeah don't use the HD2 toolkit, go to the HSPL thread and download the HSPL4 package from there. Just select HSPL2.08 and flash it. The toolkit uses the older HSPL3 package if I'm not mistaken.
