Description:
This is the first official ICS dump for P7300 in a CWM flashable format.
It's based on the (yet unreleased/test) OTA update for P7300ZSKK2 (BRI, Taiwan). The research log about how to apply .bin OTA files can be found here: here
It has been rooted and has BusyBox pushed to /xbin (some commands may requires "busybox commandname" format, cause "commandname" would call the stock one).
The modem is not included in the package. It's available in a flashable format below the link to the ROM.
Instructions:
Do not flash with CWM 6.0.1.2 - risk of hardbrick!!! - Use 6.0.0.8 by kallt_kaffe
Wipe data/cache
Format /system
Install zip from sdcard

Bravo! Some ingenuous process to deliver us the p7300 ICS. :good:
Knowing that I flashed the p7310 ICS by Odin earlier on my p7300, any idea if flashing this Rom zip will restore 3g function? Or I will also need to flash the modem you mention?
Edit:
Given the need for wipe, format, a good idea to repeat the warning: do not use cwm 6.0.1.2 (if anyone still has that) !!!
I guess your modem partition still contains the old modem. I am researching how to safely dump and package the modem.
what languages are like?
German too?
Thank you
The default language is taiwanese, but you can select from about 40 languages.
I hope the battery bug is not present!
It's not a port from P7500, so let's hope it's okay.
Here's the modem (P7300XXLPY)
Thank you
I will test it today!
If the modem to flash via CWM?

Yes, modem should be flashed via CWM. But I didn't test it, yet.

At the suggestion of others, I put this in its own thread.
First of all, credit goes to Watsa for his work on Pinnacle. The ROM I posted yesterday was built with the Android kitchen and somehow was breaking WiFi (and root). So I used the Android kitchen to just deodex /app and /framework this time around and merged that into Pinnacle 1.3. This is not Pinnacle based by any means (ot Pinnacle tweaks or UI, etc.), I just used it to embed the ROM with rooting capabilties and edited the update script slightly.
Everything is stock here besides removing AT&T bloat, deodexing, zip-aligning, and root. The kernel and modem are stock I897UCKI2. There are NO BOOTLOADERS within this ZIP. So you must be running a Gingerbread ROM already.
I am running it right now with WiFi and root working. I was able to use TiBu to restore 90+ apps as well.

In setup, make sure that you enable debug mode, unknown apps. Works great for me. I injected boogs 1 kernel, then booted and flashed the K1 K2 boogs kernel with init.d. I also injected the attached battery mod for a circle battery, just cant handle the stock battery. I can't seem to get that Powermenu that has been posted to work though.

I get it. It's flash-able via CWM (which isn't possible on STOCK 2.3.x -->d'oh.)
I flashed Pinnacle ROM on my i897 (which has CWM v4x included -- sweet), saw how awesome it is; and flashed it to my wife's (Mrs. metalchef) i897 immediately (funny how there's no CWM or rooting method for 2.3.x, yet all the ROMs based off of this release come pre-rooted & incl CWM...I don't get it)
She has since commented on how fast this ROM is (vs say... FastyIIv2, which is what I had flashed to her device previously).
sorry for the silly post. derrrr
I can haz CWM.
Glad it seems to be working for everybody!

I am not the developer, i only ported this great rom to Captivate.
ORIGINAL THREAD: Everything you need to know is written here
Captivate Version changes:
Glitch Kernel 369mb Ram
H3llstorm GPS fix
JHJV9 modem
Internal is SDcard
Removed front camera files
I ported this rom for personal use, but since it was so good and not available here, i thought it was good to share it.
Some Suggestions:
- If you want to change internal/external mount flash one of these zip with CWM
- If you want to change kernel parameters (liveOC, frequencies, governors...) use NSTools (free on Google Play)
- If you want another modem, flash one of these with CWM
reserved
I would love to flash this but every time I do, it aborts immediately. I flashed CM9 then this and still it aborts immediately. Thank you for porting it to the cappy and thanks for your work.

Never mind I did get it to flash looks nice.. thank you for your work once again.
I will give a try
Looks nice, about to flash but if we want to change kernels do we have to run the cleaning script or not?
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda premium
Did you have permission from the original team that made this rom to post this?
one problem--- whenever i change kernel to devil for this rom, it wont let me read my sdcard anymore. I mean internal memory.
Thanks!
A nice ROM, thanks for it.

Yep. Used this one myself. It's not really Nougat, though... like all other ROMs for the i8200, this is a modified stock ROM and is still Jellybean 4.2.2, just heavily skinned. That said, it's faster than the stock ROM, offers slightly better battery performance, and is quite stable. Worth looking at.

So, I put together a complete ZIP file with this exact modified stock ROM. I included everything you need to install it.
Disclaimers: this is your phone and I'm not responsible for what you do with it. I've done this process multiple times with tons of different ROMs, and if you follow the instructions from the included text file I authored, it should work perfectly. I'm not responsible for bricked phones, though I did include files to restore from a soft brick.
Also, I did not author this ROM image... it is a modified stock image (like everything else for the i8200) and is not REALLY Nougat or Lineage OS... it's just heavily skinned to look and act like it. That being said, battery life is noticably improved, speed is increased just a bit, and the ROM is stable.
After downloading, extract all files to a directory and then read my instructions... multiple times... make sure you have your mind wrapped around the process before you commit.
Anyway, the file is HUGE (1.25 GB) and the hosting is absolutely free and absolutely middling in download speeds, so give it some time to download... patience and virtues and whatnot. If this file goes without downloads for thirty days, it will self delete from the hosting server, so if you stumble across this thread at some point in the future and the link is dead, message me. I will EVENTUALLY get the PM and I'll update this thread with a new link once I get a chance to upload the file again.
I included the Custom Nougat ROM image, TWRP 2.7.2.0 for the i8200, a SuperSU ZIP file, Odin 3.07 (which I used), a newer Odin for those who prefer it, the needed Samsung driver install file, and a copy of Philz if you prefer that particular recovery. I also included a stock recovery image in case you have a soft brick occur. Also my detailed, step by step instructions in a text file.
Anyhow, here's the link:
http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/746451/S3-i8200 Custom ROM.zip
thanks for support us and providing roms. I recommended to you to make more nice rom for this gt-i8200N/L/Q.
Orignal firmware is to bad and get problem in battery disconnect in charging.so i use roms which is good and no any problems
Is this rom working in 8200Q?
It should, but I don't have one to verify this.
---------- Post added at 09:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:24 PM ----------
I'd recommend making a backup in TWRP before flashing this. If it doesn't work, just restore your old backup. The hardware across all i8200 phones is virtually identical with the exception of things like NFC and LTE... this ROM appears to support all of that by default, so it should, in theory, work with any i8200 revision. Give it a try and let us know.
This is the forum for the roms I compile for Motorola Xoom.
I have nicknamed these future roms Moto-Rola for personal reasons. xD
I will try to make them faster and put some cute things on them, even if I start with KitKat versions.
As you all know, I am currently using some of Schischu's sources, I am just following his hard work and making it available for everyone.
This first rom is the Cyanogenmod 11 version for Motorola Xoom Wingray you already know.
I will compile next the Everest version, you will have to try it for me if I am able to do it. I do not have the everest version of the Motorola Xoom so...

Hi guys, thanks for the new build!
I would like a question, do I have to follow the procedures to in "BigPart Repartition Upgrade and Resource Center by realjumy" to format for bigpart?
I have a xoom GEDfied - It had a google official release. I am not sure if it was a UMTS or CDMA device before - it has a simcard slot.
I have tried the big part process many times and with no success - in the end, when flashing the CM 11 image, it says it is not a big part device... Is it because I am using wingray images?
Thanks very much!
In the dropbox folder there is a recovery you can flash, TWRP 3.0.1. with sdcard support...I suppose you need the bigpart thing to flash it.
But here it is how they did it for bigpart.

Yeah, I have already tried that tutorial (like 10 times) for bigpart, no success.
Maybe it is something with my hardware (I am not sure if it is gsm, cdma or wifi) - everybuild I try says I don't have bigpart partitioning.
I will wait for an everest build

The easier way to know what variant is your Xoom is to check the model number at the back.
The problem you are going to have with most of the late builds is that they need big partition. So you need to find the easy to partition your tablet.

Well. It will help if you tell us if yours is a wifi only model, LTE? Where did you buy it (country)? Does it have a branded rom installed? Anything at all to identify it.

I am going to test Everest. But I have a problem:
In the BigPart Repartition thread they say the following:
Put all needed resources on your microsd card! You will need the original TWRP 2.6.3.0 touch recovery from @runandhide05, TWRP 2.6.3.0 BigPart version, your desired rom, and the BigPart boot image that goes with your desired rom. The BigPart boot images can be found in the next section.

So what versions of TWRP do I put on the SD card? The one from the beginning of the thread is BigPart version?
It is the Schischu TWRP 3.0.1 recovery with added sd card support. I always do

If recovery.img is the name of the recovery image.
I cannot guarantee it works.

I have just flashed v2.9 with Renice kernel Xs. So far, it's smooth. Great work!! it passed SafetyNet after first reboot, but i'm out of space due to apps...

ok..here goes.
1. on first boot up the rom doesnt have a keyboard ,,so have to download a keyboard (i used a pc to download and transfer the apk to it)
after 18 days usage report.
bugs encountered as follows.
1.wifi gets disconnected sometimes after long usage.(now its fixed)
2.if using the phone for some long time ,then the mic wont work during phone calls, have to reboot again to make it work.(sometimes)
3.prob with lucky patcher(but no big deal,just a warning ).
pros,
1.best rom yet.
2.quick charging.
3.quick bootup.
4.less bugs.
Does This rom give me OTA update for fixing bugs?
