Got a an update today for my US tf300. It failed like it always does since I'm root and now I can't redownload or try to install again, like it always does.
So for the ones who get the ota, please upload the file! It should be in /Cache
It will be a few days before a full flash is out.
Want proof? I can show a screenshot but it doesn't say anything besides an update is out. I couldn't get the date in the screenshot. Just take my word for it.
Side note: clearing cache and data for the dm and cm client does not work if an ota fails at install. Stop telling people it does.
i got the update
I have the update installed, I don't see any changes right now. Will advise if anything comes up.
I will try to pull it off of my cache & upload to all.
MK
I also made a post about the ota update today. Unfortunately for you I already installed the update and my cache is empty. Sorry.

update 10.4.2.13... Kept my root as well. I seriously hope it stabilizes the LAGGY JB update.
Update worked and root restored.
Steps taken:
- Unfroze all apps
- Confirmed root backup existed, then temp unrooted.
- Rebooted
- Applied update
- Re-applied root

Well, I can report that the new update seems to have fixed the camera issue that had popped after the last update (JellyBean).
Before I couldn't take more than two or so pictures before I got a "messed" up picture or a all green picture. I just took 10 consecutive pictures with no issues.
Can anyone that had LAGGY JB before report what they see and if any of it is fixed? I'll post my results after I have played around with it enough too.
Got the OTA update in România, installed it just fine. I'll see if anything is different (the only thing mentioned was "stability fixes" or something like that). Anyway, Asus moved quickly .
Later edit: Guys, don't forget to do a cold boot after each update.

Not sure what's changed but the bugs I had concerned the HDMI output, are still there. Notification bar gets cut off and sound doesn't work on one of my TVs (works on other tv).
Anyways was able to restore root with RootKeeper and SuperSU easily.
My update instalation failed also. I have rooted my tf300 what can i do?
I got a laying android with a red sign and my tablet restarted and said it failed.

Take a look at the logfile here in /cache/recovery . IT will tell you WHY it failed. You can follow this thread to reapply the OTA manually BUT you will need to find the dlpkgfile matching this update. Someone will post it.... If they haven't already.

Yes, I also received the OTA update, right now. At the first sight, no difference. But using it you will see some improvements, I hope. I'm playing with it just half an hour, but I've noticed at least one change for good: the streaming internet TV works well again. I can see the motion picture in SPB TV app that broadcasted only voice after the first JB update.
But the MyLibrary remained buggy It shows the cover pages of the books, but when I open one, the app closes itself...
By the way, the update must be an incremental one (not full ROM), because it was downloaded very quickly, 1-2 minutes.
Anyway I'm glad that the repair OTA came quite soon! Let's try it heavily to see what changed and what not and gather our experience here!

Finding after JB update
Got the JB update OTA today. I'm on the ww-version, stock, not rooted.
First impression: smooth running - found bug, though. The clock showing in the down right corner is not updating correctly; updates once every 10-15 minutes. System clock is and lock screen clock are OK, so it's a sw issue with this update (at least on mine). It worked as it should before the update. Did a cold boot and factory reset routine, even though the factory reset should not be necessary.
Cheers

The clock issue is actually worse on my tablet than above described: the down right clock and the clock showing when opening the "dialogue box" are showing different times. The down right clock hasn't updated for 1/2 hr now and the clock within the "box" hasn't updated for an hour. To me this is a serious error - have reported it to Asus via their website.
I used to have that clock problem on ICS.

Absolutely, and it's brilliant. This kind of thought process is what has me hoping that they've managed to make the current dock compatible with the Prime as well.
Took quite a while to check for updates, and then came back saying no update is available. Servers must be getting hammered.

I'm not sure if anyone's noticed, but the browser seems much faster and responsive loading pages and typing on web pages. Before the lag was atrocious, but it's muuuuuch better now. Pages seem to load more quickly and scroll smoother. Can anyone else confirm?
I am rooted & I was able to download the update. However, the updates does start & the screen shows the file unpacking with the little Android dude. Then the the install fails. There is a triangle with an exclamation mark in the center with the Android dude. I am assuming that this means that the update failed. I am able to reboot thankfully. However how can I install the update?

I can't really speak for other users, but the stock browser is definitely working and responding faster for me. It could have something to do with the wifi being upgraded in this latest firmware or something they fixed with the browser, but it's definitely noticeable on my end since I use the tablet daily to surf the web. Also it used to take forever to type in text boxes on the stock browser and now for me it's almost instant. Also EVERY user experience is different (most likely since May), so ironic or not it's still a good thing for other users to report what they're experiencing with new firmware upgrades.

If they based the kernel build on the source tree for the TF101G, mempodroid is gone and unless you backed up su with OTA RootKeeper you'll lose root permanently - that is, until some other local privilege escalation vulnerability pops up (which could take a veeeeery long time).

At least we know they didn't even take the time to look at the .config changes I sent them. Sheesh.
Bottomline: you'll have to wait until the sources for this kernel are out, then you'll have two options:
add CONFIG_L2TP=y to their shipped .config and rebuild the kernel for yourself (tricky)
wait until someone else on XDA does it if you don't like playing with cross-compilers and the like
Oh, you'll need root and CWM as well
I haven't tried to download it bc I am at work, so it is waiting for me when I get home but what Android o/s is it? Still 4.0.3 or did they take initiative and put 4.0.4 on it like the Xoom recently got that seemed to fix all their problems?

I can confirm. I am in the US and I received the update notification. Unfortunately for me, I forgot I deleted some stock apps and didn't restore them before doing the OTA. So my OTA failed and now it says no updates available. What sucks with ASUS, once you fail the update, you have to update manually. It will never offer the update again, I think the server records what serial numbers have updated once you start it. I wiped the data, still says no updates.
Firmware not on asus site yet. I been waiting for jellybean and I screw it up. I am hoping a full flash of the .30 firmware will somehow give me the OTA update again to JB, but I am doubting it.
Downloading it myself right now. While this doesn't show that it's Jelly Bean, it shows there's an update available.

Nice! Let us know how it is performance-wise when you update.
Root kept/able to still root?
Just curious now, if Asus will update the bootloader unlocker for JB.
I've restrained myself from unlocking so far, only rooted. It's fairly new, so just wanted to try it out, make sure everything working, just in case have to send it away or whatever, and they're not happy with the unlocked bootloader :/
I have been running the power setting in balanced mode and with the update it looks like power consumption is up about 12%.
Yes, it is Jelly Bean.
I have successfully restored root with voodoo OTA rootkeeper.
One annoyance seems to be that the weather widget doesn't want to work right now, but that could be temporary. On the bright side though, it appears that you can disable the auto brightness that changes depending on what's on screen in the ASUS options.

OTA update does not kill rootkeeper, but manual does?
In my case it was impossible to update via OTA, there was a failure and update option disappeared from menu, even when refreshing for update. So I had to update transformer manually.

I copied the last firmware (still on Asus site) on a FAT32 sdcard, after I unziped it one level. When I plugged in the sdcard, instantly the message for downgrading appeared. It finished in some minutes, and then I restored root with motochopper.
Next step, I made a backup of root with Voodoo, and now I am updating again to the latest firmware to see if voodoo will bring the root access back.
I will keep you in touch.
[EDIT]
So, after updating to the latest firmware, I restored root access with voodoo.
This means, it is possible to keep root access, but please use voodoo before updating.

i read some has gotten OTA but not everyone, i used adb yesterday at work to "sideload" 4.4 on to my Nexus 7 2013 16gb tablet and it just is nice running smooth, no heat around my cam anymore in use.
i normally game a little and use it for Teamviewer. I brought my tablet bcs i was tired of dragging a laptop with me around, bcs i drag it to work everyday.
I basicly when at family, or friends house use my tablet for surfing, teamviewer and all what i used the laptop for it's nice

Nice, just in this forum only one person claims to have received 4.4 OTA. It does seem they are sending out a patch for something that is only available as a factory image that is being sideloaded. Curious.

the factory image and the one that comes on OTA should be the same as far as i know.
but it was pretty easy to flash my tablet, it took a little bcs i had a problem but when i fixed that one it went smoothly and no issues at all.
anyone else's touchscreen get ridiculous after this small OTA? I never had issues, then we got that jellybean OTA to "fix" touch screen issues for certain people, which then proceeded to break my touch screen. then I got kitkat, and it's perfect again, no touch issues anymore.. now I got this OTA and this morning I had to press everything 5 times before it registered! I did a reboot and it went away, but seriously, if they broke touch again, I'm giving up on this tablet.

Where is the update located once it is downloaded, I'm trying to install it with TWRP.
Just got it via OTA (had side loaded KitKat before that). Made me lose root but that should be easily fixed.
I had side loaded 4.4, unlocked and rooted. I got the OTA notification and there was an error installing and now I'm stuck in a bootloop. When it comes up it has dead android with red exclamation point and says "No command."

Same thing happened to me. I got the OTA notification but stoopidly I had SuperSU in OTA survival mode. The update failed and I ended up at the 'No Command' recovery thing you are talking about.
I was able to fix it by manually flashing the /boot, /recovery, and /system partitions (NOT /userdata ) in fastboot using the KRT16S system image that can be found here (https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#razorkrt16s). Everything was okay after that - all of my user data was intact and I was updated to KRT16S :good:

Ah well. I win the noob award. I panicked and re-flashed stock. But my saving grace is that I have a backup from not too long ago.

I was on stock, unlocked, rooted with TWRP. I ran the KRT16S OTA normally. TWRP installed it. I lost root and TWRP. Easy enough fix.

Lost root, tried reflashing the SU 1.43 binary in TWRP and still don't have root. Any advice?

You need to do this in fastboot. The instructions are at the bottom of the page
