Found this confirming the Galaxy Note 2 for T-Mobile with OTA Updates
Link:http://www.sammobile.com/2012/09/16...-coming-to-t-mobile-in-us-ota-updates-online/
I think this will be my next phone. I've been wanting to try out T-Mobile and dump my huge Verizon bill. I really liked the size of the first Galaxy Note too and the specs look awesome. Not a huge fan of TouchWiz, but I'll try it out.
I don't know too much about TouchWiz, but I definately want the Note 2. My TMO bill is $125 for 3 lines unlimited talk & text with 2G Data for each line on the value plan. We don't ever use close to 2G of data a month.

TouchWiz is alright for most purposes unless you are used to vanilla Android. They like to put their skin on everything and also put some of their own apps in it. I'm at the SIM only plan which would cut my bill down to almost a third of what I pay to VZW.
I've been using t-mobile Unlimited Data (5GB of high speed) and unlimited text + 100 min for $30. I dont' talk on the phone much, but it's only 10 cent after 100 min

I think I'm going to try this with Verizon when the Note 2 drops. TMobile has an unlimited (not capped after a certain amount) plan that's 500 minutes and unlimited text for $60. I'm gonna be like look. This is what I'm getting over there, come close to it or I'm gone. Truthfully I'll settle for 20 MAYBE 10 Gigs just to be on Verizon's network, but we'll see how they'll play it.
I hope development turns out good for the tmo version I'm really interested im either this or the rumored tmo one x or I'll just settle for gs3

I'll be purchasing a T-Mobile version on day of release. I have an international version in hand (posting from it) and have decided to go with the Note2 as an all-in-one device (phone &tablet -I'd originally thought I'd use the Note2 as a WiFi tablet only). Really looking forward to this release!
Do you have to wait for the announcement to pick this up or will they have it available that morning?
Did anyone see an announcement of the off contract price? I've been saving up (student budget) but tax might just do me in. Also... which color to get???

the cheapest u can get with verizon, is 39.99 for single line 450 minutes, and 29.99 monthly data. thats $70 + assorted taxes and whatnot, runs about 75 a month.
also, no its not rooted yet.
Since you are on t-mobile. Why don't you checkout the Nexus One?

this only includes about 200 text msgs... so add another 15 bucks for atleast 1500... it was about 95 a month for my omnia which is the same plan as I would use for the incredible... if you have a friend or relative that just wants a basic phone do the family plan... 2 phones for 70 bucks with unlimited text.. add data for you for 30... 100 bucks for 2 phones... I have a plan with my mom and we both save...
I'm the primary account holder not her... I'm 29 but why waste money when you know you can save it...

that includes no text messages. why text when u can google voice.
Its going to be around 95 dollers a month for the 400 minute plan + unlimited data and unlimited text both.. I also used to have TMobile and a rooted G1 and i paid 75 a month after tax for that thing but i had callertunes and all that extra crap thrown in as well
I also dropped Tmobile and went to verizon for many reasons 1 being they have the incredible which i got like 3 days after it came out and 2 the service in my area is bulletproof with verizon and tmobile sucks
Also i work at bestbuy so i get 25% off my cellphone plan so im actually paying less per month then i did when i had tmobile as a regular customer

I agree, the Nexus One has the same specs (except camera I think) so it's fairly equal to the Incredible. It'll probably save you some time and hassle with switching carriers. I would only make the switch if your 3G coverage is terrible. Nothing wrong with the Incredible though I've got one and love it!

Summery:
The phone will primary use wifi for voice and texting and if no wifi is within range it will jump over to the Sprint network for voice, texting, and 3g data (no data cap). I guess you will need a CDMA android phone. Not sure yet if you have to buy a special phone from them but I'm sure someone will come up with a rom to flash to a Sprint android phone.
If this is all true it would be great to have one phone number, text, and unlimited data for only $19 with VoIP! I'll sell my G2x and find a phone that will work on this in a heart beat.
Let me know your thoughts.
I think I'm going to get one. If the phone if just an LG Optimus maybe someone can help me dump the ROM and flash it to a normal Sprint Optimus so you don't have to buy there phone.
From what I've read, you need a phone with special hardware sold by Republic, and judging from the picture on the website, it's probably going to be the LG Optimus S/V.
If it pans out and works like they say it will, I'd considering switching from Virgin Mobile. I'm already using the Optimus V, so it wouldn't be that much of a change for me.
I wonder how much they are going to charge for the phone?

How much cellular usage is too much?
It depends. Even assuming 0% wifi usage, for example, you could consume 550 minutes, send 150 texts, and download 300 megabytes of data without crossing the community’s fair use threshold. Everyone's usage patterns will be different, but we're confident you’ll be amazed at how little cellular you actually use when you have a phone that makes it easy to leverage the power of your Wi-Fi networks.

The pay as you go plan is 50 cents/day for unlimited web, only on the days you use it. It's 20 cents per minute for voice calls, but if you froze the dialer (or never used it) and didn't give out the Boost number, voice would never get used.
Since GrooVeIP will work over 3G or Wifi, your max cost per month (after phone and GrooVeIP) would be $15.50.

But there are still plans above that, for more money? There must be some catch or else everyone would get this new plan, and no other.
The "Unlimited" plan they're proposing doesn't include the tethering option. Rooted phones don't apply, we can tether anyways.
I'll be jumping on this, I just need to figure out what phone to upgrade too...yeah, perplexing questions.

The purpose of multiple plans is that there are some people that do not use that much data so why pay for it? I personally don't tether and was grandfathered in to unlimited data of 5 gb before being throttled. I am mostly on wifi all day so it doesn't count towards the limit. If you're not going to tether, then there is low risk of hitting that limit unless you're watching movies all day.

Okay, first thing i saw when looking at that link. was "DATA FEATURE" meaning something added to a base price of your minutes? I remember seeing something like this when 3G became popular on verizon's network. They charged like 30 bucks for your minutes and then 25 extra for data and 20 extra for MMS. It was a while ago, but it pretty much just splits up the fees. Like instead of one fee for everything they split it up. It looks "cheaper" that way.
But i do feel a little skeptic, as said before, there are more expensive plans than this, one would think they would make this the most expensive weather or not you had MobileHotspot option. Plus there is no fine print, im certain T-Mobile knows that you can have a rooted phone tether. However i do remember someone over on PPCGeeks tell me that the way they will block tethering is by User Agent. But i dont see that working because you can spoof a User Agent inside your mobile browser so that you can get the full website not the mobile version.
Unlimited T-Mobile data sure would make me consider getting a contract... Hell i KNOW i would get a contract for that. I use data like its nothing. Price you pay when your father is still using dial up
Well i just spoke to customer service and they didnt mention anything being "truly unlimited". I asked about it and she said i can only get the new 5gb plan bundle with mobile hotspot,Which cost 5 dollars more. So as of now if you want the upgrade any service you're forced to pay extra for something most people had for free.
Edit: well i just spoke to them about the the plan was able to switch. In all the I'm paying the same amount as I was before.

Prepaid customers get treated like second class citizens because prepaid plans aren't where the revenue is generated. If prepaid guys aren't ready to commit to the company, the company can't be committed to them. But if you look at the promotion it's $325 back over 24 months while you are spending $70 / month on their unlimited plan. Compare that to using that same phone on Project Fi at $20 / month plus $10 / GB data, money back if you don't use it. Quick calculation means you'd have to use 3 GB data or more to break even with the T-M plan. If you're a heavy user perhaps it would pay but for the casual wifi user it doesn't make much sense.

TBH project fi has is uses and its customer base but its not for everyone. While switching between lower tier tmo and sprint networks you get pauses and breaks. While on sprint its really bad. Thats just my opinion.
Especially good for exsisting Tmo customers wanting a Pixel anyways now get money back.
Personally Im on Cricket. But its a good option for those that think its Verizon exclusive and cant be used on Tmo networks.
Besides its good for Pixel owners, more pixels means more accessory support!

Ahh ok thanks.
I wonder if that applies to wherever you bought your pixel ie swappa.. Wonder if thats proof enough to qualify if you #BYOPixel and put it on Tmo One.
Whats their verification input IEMI?
