Wikipedia would have been a great start to search but oh well! Might as well have a spec sheet, wait??
Doesn't the start page for the nexus 7 reveal it's specs???????
Sent from either Galaxy S3 intl or Nexus 7
both on stock at the moment!!

You can read review of Nexus 7 here:

Current model doesn't support mobile networks so you can't use SIM card width it.

Correct, setcpu allows stock kernel to go to 1.3 on interactive but setting it to performance it maxes at 1.2. You can always just change the kernel or overclock too

Recommended rom for a friend.

I own an epic 4g and I know Modding it is somewhat similar. Gonna install a custom rom and I was wondering what you nexus s 4g owners recommend flashing. Cheers!

Personal opinion so far, having had the NS4G about 24 hours now (coming from an Epic)...
Stick with the stock ROM, just gain root and use the deodexed version if you need to. Use a custom kernel (I'm using Netarchy) with backlight notification support and voodoo. I've heard good things about Matrix, but it caused some issues for me personally.
I figured doing something of the sort would be cool. But there's something wrong with his nexus. My epic outperforms the nexus. Benchmark scores are lower and perform worse. How can this be? Does the nexus s run ext4 stock?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
Strange... I don't do benchmarks because they're all bogus, but from a use-perspective my NS4G (not overclocked) performs about the same or perhaps slightly better than my Epic 4G (overclocked to 1.2).
My partitions are EXT4 so it looks like it is by default unless the deodexed stock ROM I am using was just setup that way.

Yes it runs ext4 benchmarks mean nothing. I suggest cm7 or oxygen with netarchys kernel.

Well as far as the benches go I was referring specifically to the gpu tests. My epic runs the corridor bench at 40+. The nexus barely hits 30.

You really have to stay on top of both forums... A lot of stuff in the "Nexus S" dev forum that isn't in the "Nexus S 4G" dev forum says it is for both.

i was hoping for quad core to but android need to get better battery life, or the quad core will drain quick.
From what ive read quad and dual core are supposed to be better on battery life, they dont use all the cores at the same time

Nexus 4 throttling issue?

I am getting my first nexus 4 soon and I was very excited until I read about the throttling issue it has (or I'm calling it that) i like to game on
Phones and that's why I was planning on fixing it. But if it passes 39c it down clocks everything? If I get a custom kernel and rom will it prevent this? Quadrant scores are really low.. I just hope it performs good. Oh yeah when I am gaming on my HTC Droid incredible 4G Lte if will get 55c cpu and 50-55c battery. And my phone never change clocks. Thanks for any help.

Well, with a custom kernel you can adjust throttling to your likes. My nexus performed better than my dads m7 in 3dmark

I personally got horrible benchmarks on the N5 Experience. I run stock with Faux kernel with delvik and bionic tweaks. Also the Google now launcher. I installed xPosed frameworks and GravityBox to get all the same features as the other rom but still have incredible performance. Just my experience.

Overclocking requires a custom kernel. Custom kernels require an unlocked bootloader, and I wouldn't hold my breath for that to happen with this phone. Sorry
