Hi
I would post this in the Dev post for the ROM but i cant because i have under 10 posts
I have been using xT4Z1N4TRx'S ROM since beta4 and its always worked as he has outlined in the notes
but now when i installed the V1.0 (after a full wipe) the keyboard back-light doesn't go on anymore as well
as it quickly flips from portrait to landscape and then to portrait again in a quick moment where before
having the KB out forced the screen to landscape unless the app didn't handle it
I just wanted to know if anyone else has the problem or is it just me and my noobiness when i installed it?
thanks

Just a quick question,
As I understood, the Touch HD has a bug of when you rotate your screen to landscape, sometime the Phone dialer appears (im using gyrator 2)
With all the cooked rom, fixes around, I just wonder if this has been fixed yet? I've try searching using several related keywords but no luck...
Thanks.
I have this problem too - I'm using GSen but I'm going to try some of the others people have suggested
Switch to WM dialer rather than HTC dialer. YOu will loose the ability to make video calls though.
use changescreen v 1.5, its the best without bugs
I am not aware of this bug (with FlipIt)? :S
I have this problem too. Even when gyrator is not activated.
Could anyone describe this bug a litte bit more precisely? I haven't noticed any bug with the dialer yet even while using Gyrator2.
So, maybe its just an configuration issue?

For me it happens sometimes (ok, actually most of the times) when I rotate the device to use landscape mode in Opera or another program. It jumps out of the program and the dialer appears for a few seconds then finally ends up in TF3D...
as I understood it, it's TouchFlo which is causing problems as it was not designed to be used in landscape. Switch off tf3d and the rotation issues go away..
This is a fix for the rotation problem where you close your keyboard and it does not rotate back. In order to fix this problem you can not rotate the screen with the keyboard in but since i never do it that way its a great fix for me so i thought i would post for others who feel the same way. If you want source code so you can add exceptions for certain apps drop me a pm and i will send it to you.
I want to give a big thanks to robp for helping me with this if you want to donate, donate to him - https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=9432507.

Rotate to Landscape with G sensor
It would be nice if anytime we turn the Tilt 2 to landscape the screen would go to landscape without the need to slide the keyboard open. Any fix to do this?

Actually, there are quite a few ways to do this. I personally use Changescreen, but there are other ones such as Gyrator and G-config which also work just as well.
all of those above will work but will not work with my app so you get one or the other
Finally i found the right person who can help me with that

I was just replying to ADVANCE's question, I didn't mean to imply that it would fix the screen rotation problem, since I'm honestly not sure if those do that or not

my response was not meant in a negative way. I was just pointing out that the way my app works is different and if you used one of those apps with my app installed it would keep rotating back to portrait
Hello this is my first post here at XDA,
I was listening to music on CMN 6.1 v1.02 [RMNET] [SMARTASS] [Kernel: Hastarin 8.6 Custom] and I turned the screen off normally and when I turned it on it looked weird (see attachment). I unlocked the screen and tried again but it was back to
normal. Is it a setting or something?
Thanks
It just wigged out about the orientation by the look of it. It's a mix of landscape and portrait. I've never seen it before, and if you say it's okay now then I'd just forget about it.
Can you repeat it by doing the same thing again?
yeah, its just a glitch with the launcher I believe.
...It was happening to me with Launcher Pro on both my Vibrant and my HD2. If you go into the settings for whatever launcher you use and change the orientation settings to be "portrait" only...it should stop doing this
Cheers

I guess I turned the screen off just before it changed orientation to landscape and that happened. That was the second time it's done this. I thought it was a setting because I kinda liked it.
Thanks anyways.
So apparently I need to make 10 posts here/in Q/A to post to the dev threads.
Anyway this is just to Atrix users who've upgraded to the new 2.3.4. I rooted the phone and tried this out, worked great in Froyo but there is a problem when rotating the screen orientation to landscape and then back where the screen skews diagonally and becomes unusable.
You can generally get out of that by hitting the back button or opening the app drawer if you're on the home screen (swiping left/right might work too but I didn't try it.) This will fix everything except for the status bar and notification drawer. Rotating from portrait to landscape will make everything return to normal again as well until rotated back.
Had to uninstall for now. If anyone has a fix or more information please post.
I should mention that this is tested with the lite version and my GB update was the pudding one located in this thread. The OTA update wouldn't work due to gingerblur/some other mod I installed so this could have something to do with it as well.

misunderstood this thread.
Interesting.
What benefit does this add to the atrix's current games/graphics
@TechnoNeto Wasn't going to do the useless threads thing, I was just *****ing.
@Magnetox Mostly for night mode, that's pretty much the only benefit that I've noticed. Not sure about the custom GL drivers or anything "under the hood" though.
I have a weird problem with my A500, the touch screen works perfectly but in Portrait View, specifically on rotating it to the right side - The screen area on the bottom where the home, exit and notifications area is just doesnt respond to the touch.
I guess this has something to do with the resolution or something.
Any fixes guys, any help on this will be deeply appreciated.
P.S - Amazing developer work by the XDA Team on the A500, Thank you guys!

Can you tell us what version you're running? Have you loaded a custom ROM, stock, etc?
I am running 3.2 Taboonay (latest) ROM. This has been a problem since the factory 3.0.
Also, this is a HUGE problem for me as, if some application doesnt open in Landscape and is only for the Portrait Orientation, then I cannot exit the Application as there are no hardware buttons to close the app so the last resort is to restart. I really need a fix for this, help me out. Thanks!
If you can't find any way to fix the issue, there's an app in the market called Button Savior that has soft buttons you can use.
Sent from my A500 using xda premium
Sounds like maybe a problem with the digitizer. Have you contacted acer about it?
Sent from my A500
@ TechPlease Thanks Button Savior works perfectly.
@DARKMAN I will do that, I thought it was a software problem.
Thanks a lot!
