[TORRENT] XXDLI2 and onwards. - Galaxy S III General

I thought we could use a thread where torrents are posted for each (new) leak. I have posted a torrent for the latest (XXDLI2) leak here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31162004&postcount=2986
Since torrent is undoubtedly the best way to share a file so we can skip retardedly slow mirrors such as hotfile.
I will see if I can keep this updated for more leaks, if such will come, but you have to remember to seed if this is to go anywhere.

That thread is meant for the OTA leaks. This is for the full Odin version.

If the mods feel this breaks any rule or in any way is inferior, then by all means remove it. I just posted this here to make it more available, since my post will pretty much be swallowed by all other posts in that thread.

You've already posted this in the ODIN thread (Faryaab's). Not point in duplicating, unless you intended to clutter.

I already told you I opened this thread because my post will be swallowed by all new posts. It's easier this way so no readers don't have to navigate 10-20 pages back (if it reaches that much) just to get a hold of my torrent.
If you feel such strong disapproval against this thread, then by all means use the report button and let a mod decide.

This thread will be closed for sure when a mod sees it (sorry!)
The best thing you can do is ask Farrayb to put the torrent links in his OP (but I doubt he will as SamMobile get money from the Hotfile links)

yeah but its his OP he is entitled to choose not to add someone elses torrent link if he wishes, you could try to make that argument with a mod but I don't know how they will take it.
Ask Faraybb, if he says no report it to a mod under rule 13 and see what decision they come too.

he was talking about the hotfile links. Rule 13 states, and I quote:
Commercial advertising, advertising referral links, pay per click links and other income generating methods are forbidden. Do not use xda-developers as a means to make money.
I don't know about you, but I think that them getting money through hotfile is an income generating method.

Closed, I understand that you are trying to be helpful, but if you want to provide mirrors PM the OP's to add the link.
The OTA sticky could be a perfectly valid place for a link to torrent mirrors as well.
If you wish to discuss anything else, feel free to PM me.

That's probably not legal
...but it'll still happen!
why not just go to the warez and torrent sites and keep the illegal things over there and the legal things over here.
It's a demo anyway. But such discussions really should be kept out of these forums.

[REF][SOLUTION] misuse & abuse of our work.

I have found that a lot of Sites on the internet scan our xda & post only the OP as their own.
I did a simple google search with these words, 'ddjp6 speedmod version' & here is the result - http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=ddjp6+speedmod+version
A example here is - http://www.galaxyroot.com/tag/csc/ . If the links are downloaded by people who are not really aware of many discussions that are going on here, they face serious problems with their phones.
I request all the custom ROM developers to at least put a direct HTML link to your OWN post in the OP.
I have put a direct HTML link of my own post in my OP. At least people browsing sites like galaxy root will have a link back to my ROM.
Hope I am helping.

Hmmm, no lol. If people are stupid enough to install a piece of software onto a phone, or pc for that matter without knowing what theyre doing then it their own fault if something goes wrong.
Like my 10yr old says always make sure you read up on what your about to install, or even uninstall before doing so.
Perhaps a link to common sense would be best? Or better still close this thread that is clogging up the 'development section'

Sometimes intelligent people search Google.
Anyway this was just an observation, A lot of developers including Darkyy have been put a lot of problems because of their ROMs being downloaded from other sites.
PS : Darkyy is a famous guy, I am not. I really don't know how many phones I have neutered by posting my ROM.

That was just ONE site I mentioned, what about others? & different languages? All I am suggesting is just a simple link back to your own ROMs or threads in your first post.

I got $20 that says he s trying to do something clever by getting us to follow a link. It is probably a link to something adminy that he hopes a mod will click on.
I've seen people try this on slashdot where if you clicked it, and you had mod points, it would mod up their spam or trolling.
Edit:
Look at the link itself

Trying to rack up thanks points?
Edit 2:
It is the link to the thanks button on the first post of this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12058344
But it contains *his* "security token" meaning it will only work for him.
If he follows the link, the post gets thanked. If we do, nothing, because we are not authorized to thank on his behalf.
He only has 4 posts so it could be possible
You can't exploit the thanks system like that.
We are smarter than you.
That is all

Asus Transformer NVFlash Stock 3.1 Recovery Roms

This post has been removed because I don't have time to update the contents and support people on this site as well as my own. If you need to revert back to stock and you need these files they are available at my website where I keep the files updated and try to support people.

Plus side of forcing registration is the ability to sell advertising on you site if it has a high number of registered users.
Negative side is the liability incurred should the database be hacked and stolen.
Tough choice.
Would love to see a download mirror for the us and ww stock roms.
I'm running a paid version of vbulletin just like xda.

I registered and got the links. Either I am too naive or others are too paranoid

Most of these downloads are linked to a site where you get certain advantages when you pay for an account such as faster download speeds, no limits per day, no waiting before download etc. But I did not pay and still got the file in ~10 min. Why is everyone here so hostile all the sudden???
Good question I run a great community that has done a lot of good **** for people. This is the first and last time I will ever post my **** on xda. Nothing against the site, but some of you are real assholes. I run my community on a server in my garage and have paid for the server, software, and bandwidth and you make stupid comments. The software this site runs on is identical to the software I use and its not cheap. I have google ads to fund contests, get devices for people, pay for my overhead, etc. What do you all do but run you mouth?
Last comment I will make on this site about my release.

Havoc fajita retention thread

As Havocs thread is closed because of kernel privacy suspicion, it leaves the users in a dystopian state - they have lost the bridge to find each other to communicate
My first question of all this - isn't Illusion kernel which Havoc consists open source then? It is a part of an open source aosip.

Yes they are simple, for Eliminator
But for the users the xda side for the most popular 6t aosp rom has been Eliminated. So closing the main thread besides just removing the download links has just one effect - silencing the users. Anyway this is quite trendy as for example Google is already censoring files inside personal Google drives.
The true internet left seems to be the darkweb. And unfortunately not also Telegram, which depends on your real mobile number which ends in servers in russian web.
Does anybody know a thread for havoc users elsewhere than xda or Telegram? I mean xda does not seem to care about its users in a smart way and as an avid Havoc friend I am really not interested commenting dev details in this atmosphere. Whether it's caused by ghosty Eliminater or xda mods, I do not care. I am just one of the suppressed users
I also checked the Mandatory GPL link. There is a section for "the average user" and there is NOTHING for the user there... Just for thr dev again.
I guess xda is just for devs not users. So are we going to see more roms without normal user feedback full of bugs because of these rules?
I thought xda was a community not a kingdom of devs
