sounds like the site might have some bugs
I'm a senior member and I cant get in. what is it?
I got $20 that says he s trying to do something clever by getting us to follow a link. It is probably a link to something adminy that he hopes a mod will click on.
I've seen people try this on slashdot where if you clicked it, and you had mod points, it would mod up their spam or trolling.
Edit:
Look at the link itself
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ post_thanks.php ? do=post_thanks_add &p=12058344&securitytoken=1300450638-891230fedd96885fdaae943f60b7266536cca435
Trying to rack up thanks points?
Edit 2:
It is the link to the thanks button on the first post of this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12058344
But it contains *his* "security token" meaning it will only work for him.
If he follows the link, the post gets thanked. If we do, nothing, because we are not authorized to thank on his behalf.
He only has 4 posts so it could be possible
You can't exploit the thanks system like that.
We are smarter than you.
That is all

There's no risk there. That security token only worked once, for HIM. But yes, you correctly diagnosed what he was doing

Great! you just gave the answer to a lazysH!&... Now instead of him fishing and feeding himself forever, you have taught him to just keep coming back and asking for fish!!!
I know you meant well goofeyass but you didn't help him you hurt him and the rest of the community.

There is nothing wrong with being helpful. But it is how you help. When you help in this kind of a situation it only confirms in a persons mind that all they need to do is ask!! And on this forum that wrong. Here the forum rules cleary state to search first. They are outlined in great detail. So giving answers on redunt threads started like these only goes to encourage that kind of behaviour. Did you think that if goofeyass had the cab then he must have gotten it somewhere as well?? Then this guy can search and locate it.

@Curious George: Every single post I have seen of yours in the past few days seems to be *****ing about new threads etc. Why? It's been going on for ages and it's not going to stop, especially with such a crude attitude to it, so why bother annoying people? It might increase your post count but it's incredibly annoying for everyone!
Let the mods do their job.
GEORGE! A great way to control a forum is to let the moderators do they job. If disagreed the topic would be locked, or better: deleted. The forum rules clearly state: Only post here if you are a developer/resource etc... If you go hard into the rules then you just broke them as well. Until a moderator speaks we should be nice. I'm sure you are nice as well but you just dont sound like that. A good community way of saying what you just did is:
"Here is your file. Next time, please take the time to search thus NOT spamming the forum with useless threads."
And see: now even I broke the forum rule ;P
Part from this: The forum search function here sux bigtime and its a bottleneck to this great place. Atleast, I think we both can agree to that.
Moderators: Shall you just lock this nonsense?
some people take the internet too serious
Here is some screens of the plugin in action.
please follow the rules or the thread will be moderated

Holy s-. Guys do NOT help this guy. Seriously, read the first post in the PSXperia thread. Read the wiki "getting started" guide. Also, read the rules to the forums. Read everything before doing anything, that's a good lesson for the rest of your life.

Including the bit on the page you were linked to, that said :
Quick Start:
Read this: https://github.com/yifanlu/PSXperia/wiki
Do you have a problem? Read it again.
Are you about to complain that you can't select the Extract tab? Read it once more.
Something doesn't work? Read "Common Mistakes" on the Wiki. If that didn't solve your problem, you should file a bug report.
I added bold to give you a hint
ok its work now.
i get it, i didnt read until the end.
but now i have another problem.
srry about the question but, from where i can download the files that i need to convert ?
Could try a search
what to write in search ?
i try something but i didnt work.
turn off your computer
I really dont understand ya, it tells you what to do exactly on the startup page.. god
Considering your a n00b I'm going to "un-n00b" you. First download the files, then get rid of the windows driver that stops the psxperia one

This reminds me of people at work. They send me an email about the system "it doesn't work".
Well thats completely USELESS..
WHAT doesn't work, what did you do that it failed, what did it say when it failed. Seriously does it need to be spelled out?

I'm going to use new term I learned here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2349378/new-programming-jargon-you-coined
It's a shrug report. Which is why I ask people who submit bug reports to attach a log. No log = shrug report.
(Also, I suspect OP is purposely trolling now just to not seem like an idiot. Which, by the way, doesn't work.)
Hey guys,
I have an europian xperia play. Android 2.3.4. But the problem is i did everything perfectly. But it says licence control than it close?

"...see it"...or "...see me"
imo that's the point
If everybody started doing this, it'd be kind of ridiculous here... Unstoppable flooding of threads that should be replies... However, I guess it would at least it'd make it SEEM like things were moving a little faster in the HD7 forum.
The development forums are for sharing something you've developed and wish to support here. Not for reposting stuff so you can link to pay-per-click sites.

Anybody that reads a tech website knows about it. Samsung's already put out a press release acknowledging the problem. When it's fixed, I'm sure they'll know about it before we will and put out another press release. Nothing's going to hijack your device that you don't allow. Don't visit sketchy websites, download iffy apps with a low number of users, and don't accept certificates from website's you're not comfortable with. For the time being I'd disable "Unknown sources" in settings and enable "Certificates" in the browsers security settings. Samir pointed out earlier the naive could get in trouble accidentally. We here aren't naive.
May be i used the wrong word what i ment was an normal user who is a layman when it comes to tech and believe there are many on this site to who come for advice.
Will i still be able to update to the jellybean ota after this root method?

We are not rambling if read the post carefully the replies have nothing to do with member posting the same topic again.

Wow really? You know the rules. Search for it. There are hundreds of TUT on getting a tut and it is troubleshooting 101. Should nt be messing with your device if you dont know how to pull a logcat. Bug reports of things not working without a posted log gets ignored.

First off you might want to rethink just who you are talking to like that. Now take this as a warning. Follow the rules or you can be removed from the site.
You agreed to the rules when you joined and might want to read them again.
This is not a support site, it is a developers site and you have to put in your own homework.
