Just wanted to express my thanks to XDA for giving the Evo 4G an Original development section. Much appreciated:beer: Although the Evo 4G is a 2 year old device, I'm sure there will be some original development still going on, thanks to awesome devs we still have here!!!

What's original development
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
what is going to be in there? per other device rules, no sense ROMs unless groundbreaking so you are left with official CM9/10, official AOKP, and salvagemod. can't be ports or kangs really, cause they are not original.
here is the definition.

The HTC thunderbolt doesn't have screen rotation animations. WHY!!!! why is thus not implemented in all new phones? This must have something to do with copy right infringement. I have yet to see an android phone with this. this angers me deeply. Detail is key people

Who gives a ****? This is an EVO forum.
Why's this not in the thunderbolt section?
What's with all the hype with the Thunderbolt? There's nothing new about it besides theh 4G LTE. The rest is the same as the last 10 phones to come out.
Noob question. Forgive me in advance..
I Flashed GingerMOD_vanilla (believe 0.5) onto my Epic Touch 4g... yesterday evening, and since then have not been able to pick up signal from Sprint. Phone is loading up. Just no sig. Beautiful rom though ..

Tried to post in dev's forum - official GingerMOD url.. i have too few posts to be efficient sorry mate
no. he literally means this is NOT the epic touch forum. this is the og epic forum. it doesnt have to do with not being able to post in the dev section.
We don't have any idea what you're talking about.
This is the Epic 4g.
You'll get more relevant help a few pages down in the Epic 4g Touch section.
Glad to help

You shouldnt be trying to ask a question in any Dev section anyway. You need to post questions in the general section in the E4GT forums.
Sigh... you know this is gonna happen alot

I'm guessing you either didn't read that thread or you're saying they aren't good developers. Either way, you are getting off to a bad start.

For those of you who don't know, checkrom was one of the most popular Rom ( if not the most popular rom) for the Samsung galaxy s 2 I9100. It is being uploaded now to checkrom.com and will be available soon on xda i9300 under the development section. This is great news and I'm very excited about this!!!!!! Here's the link to their website:
Oops mods please close this thread, just realised they didn't want anybody to open a thread about it but just to inform people. Thanks.

Can or will there be a rom of the ics version of Motorola's application platform
Sent from my DROIDX using xda app-developers app
Please ask any questions in the general forum, thanks!
Unfortunately, Motorola will not be providing an update to Ice Cream Sandwich for the Droid X; however, there are several ICS ROMs for the Droid X, if you're willing to root and flash those ROMs.
It's really easily actually.

As posted above, questions should be posted in the General forum. The Development forums are for development releases and support only, not questions.
