Can or will there be a rom of the ics version of Motorola's application platform
Sent from my DROIDX using xda app-developers app
Please ask any questions in the general forum, thanks!
Unfortunately, Motorola will not be providing an update to Ice Cream Sandwich for the Droid X; however, there are several ICS ROMs for the Droid X, if you're willing to root and flash those ROMs.
It's really easily actually.

As posted above, questions should be posted in the General forum. The Development forums are for development releases and support only, not questions.

I probably could have done more research on the subject but I figured I could ask is there supposed to be an optional touchwiz update for the standard gt with honeycomb or is it a separate tablet release?
Please don't flame lol

For those of you who don't know, checkrom was one of the most popular Rom ( if not the most popular rom) for the Samsung galaxy s 2 I9100. It is being uploaded now to checkrom.com and will be available soon on xda i9300 under the development section. This is great news and I'm very excited about this!!!!!! Here's the link to their website:
Oops mods please close this thread, just realised they didn't want anybody to open a thread about it but just to inform people. Thanks.

They also say on that Site to not create a thread on xda about it, to inform etc is ok

Hey everyone, im about to begin my journey into development on this phone and I might be starting with the blur data collector. Does anyone know what it does and is it on the latest update? Try to look for Data Collection service in titanium backup. Ill probably get some digging done this evening up and update my post. I know its not development now, but it will be soon.

Thread moved from Development forum to General. I'll move it back when there's something developed. Until then it's discussion so belongs in General.
Does anyone think it will happen wheather it be CM10 or another rom?
I think it will definitely happen. Soon. It just rolled out for the Nexus 7 so its only a matter of time.

Questions should be asked in Q&A forums (or General when there is no Q&A), not Development forums.

Some developers over at Rootzwiki are working on it, so it shouldn't be long!

Just wanted to express my thanks to XDA for giving the Evo 4G an Original development section. Much appreciated:beer: Although the Evo 4G is a 2 year old device, I'm sure there will be some original development still going on, thanks to awesome devs we still have here!!!

What's original development

what is going to be in there? per other device rules, no sense ROMs unless groundbreaking so you are left with official CM9/10, official AOKP, and salvagemod. can't be ports or kangs really, cause they are not original.
here is the definition.
