[Question] Stuck at boot... - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hello, I am stuck at my boot screen after installing HSPL, then MAGLDR, then Leo Radio and last ClockWorkRecovery for HD2.
Is my phone still savable as long as I can boot into my boot menu?
Not even sure what went wrong, did everything right but it didn't boot already after the: "We hacked it" or something.

So what i understand is that you installed HSPL 2.08, then MAGLDR 1.13, then you installed a Radio, what HD2 do you have and what radio did you get?

My radio is: "R 2.07.51.22_2".
The SPL was 1.42.0000, now it's SPL-2.08.

Do a Task29, reinstall hspl, install radio then magldr.
So yeah redo the steps but in this order

It works like a charm now!
Thank you so much!
One last question, though (if I'm allowed to ask?).
If I download this SD Rom, and put it on my SD Card:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1681906#2
And then go into CWRecovery -> Install .zip from SD Card -> Choose .zip from SD Card -> cm9_update_20120822.zip -> Yes - Install
This will happen:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Installation aborted.
Click to collapse
EDIT: Same happens for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792680

To run a SD Rom you extract it onto the root of ur SD Card (take it out of the folder) then in magldr just choose to boot from SD card.
Please click on the thanks button if i helped

Thanks so much!
I thanked you in two posts!
Also, if I install a NAND Package using CWRecovery, it tells me it succesfully installed the package, but it still boots to MAGLDR when I boot up the phone...
...is there a way to fix that too?

Thank you
If you want it to automatically boot then go to options in magldr and select boot AD NAND, if not you can just select boot AD NAND in the magldr window.

It tells me there are no boot sources while it said:
"Installed succesfully"
"Please reboot"
EDIT: Also, when I wipe my cache or anything it tells me it can't find /misc/ or anything...
please, I am so confused..
And when I boot from SD (with SD Rom) it gets stuck at the very first loading screen and reboots...
Is something wrong with my phone?
(Also, I didn't redo all the steps, I just flashed the radio and it seems to work, do I need to redo every step still for it to work right?)

Did you partition your system and sd card?
If not look n the thread of where you found the rom and see what syste partion it needs.

Wait, could you maybe please add me on Skype?
nathan_frissen
I am really confused now. ;(

Ive added you, you still havent accepted

I had this issue once before, I realized it was because I didn't re-partition as I was meant to. Try downloading the HD2 Toolkit and double checking in the thread you downloaded the NAND from about the partition sizes and use the Toolkit to partition it.
Hope I helped mate

I would say start over with task29 first. Then install the rest. If you still have the same problem, try re-downloading all you files and start over again. Just asking, did you flash hardspl 2.08 first?

i bought the phone with hardspl 2.13 and windows phone 7 on it, but that is a RUBBISH OS if you are a dane!

Task29 removes all os software just like formating a hard drive. As for your hardspl, that might be a problem, if my memory is still there, you need to have hardspl 2.08. that seems to be the only version that works. Try giving this some reading time :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948 or look at this page for all kinds of info : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905841

Removing WP7, HSPL, Magldr and flashing back to stock rom

Hello,
I have installed WP7 few days back and want to get back to stock rom.
Now I have 3 question
1.) How to uninstall HSPL4?
2.) How to uninstall DFT_LEO_MAGLDR113_DAF?
3.) How to uninstall WP7 and get back stock ROM?
easy my friend
download an original stock ROM, boot the phone in to bootloader mode and flash away, it will reset SPL, RADIO and ROM, and in so doing it will remove everything you have asked
there are only 2 ways to remove hspl:
1. flash the stock rom from sd card;
2. (recommended) select the spl version you want upon re installing hspl2+
a more complete guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
ok now im confused dazza9075 say's just flashing a stock rom will remove all tht i want that wud b wonderful but then antaed says der is only two way n flashing stock rom won't remove HSPL that is wht i can make out
Flashing a stock ROM will remove WP7, MagLdr etc.. but I believe that HSPL will still remain on your device. To remove HSPL either install ROM from SD card or boot into bootloader, connect to USB and then re-run HSPL from your PC. In the drop down box you should see an option for an SPL version of 2.08.
Flashing the stock rom from sd card will remove everything. I am more than 100% sure of that cos i have done that time without number.
PB81100 SS-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0X05
MicroP(Touch) 0X50
This was how it use 2 look like before installing HSPL so should I still select 2.08 or sud I go with the other method flashing the stock rom frm sd card
and how to flash what i know is as below.
1.) Take a "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
2.) Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
3.) As u switch on the device hold the volume down button vich will boot into tri color screen after that will it boot me into the bootloader(screen in white with option to select if im not wrong) automatically or i have to press any key.
4.) Once i get there just select the update and green button and after the update is complete remove the battery put it back in n switch on n done. right?
If you don't want to deal with the sd card, another option is to flash the 2.08 spl and then flash your stock rom. The stock rom will overwrite the spl and put it back to factory. This is the method I use.

If you're going to flash back to stock, be sure to task29, then flash stock to avoid any remnants from the previous flash.

aye it does, its very simple and works a treat, if you do that it will clear it all, however it is worth doing a task29, not something you have to do but its worth it in the long run
Thank u guys so much I flash the stock rom thru sd card and all is gone and got my winmo 6.5 back on my device.
Just want to confirm this must have removed everything that i have asked especially HSPL and MAGLDR?

yup it sure does, again, if your wanting to be sure that there are no nasty files left behind do the task29, but since you have changed OS completely i doubt very much there would be much in the way of cross over.
the MAGLDR is easy to check, does it appear when you restart it?
the HSPL is a bit harder to check, power off the device, hold the vol down button and tap the power button, keep holding the vol down and it will boot to bootloader
any mention of HSPL. (mine says SPL-2.08.HSPL) and HSPL is still on, if its not then all is good
just like dazza very well said, you have removed everything by flashing the rom from the sd card.
i also agree task 29 could have been very good practice to avoid any leftovers, very similar to performing a memory format.
if you decide to do it, make sure you reinstall hspl first! guide for task 29 here, including a very nice video:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644781
in short, you'd have to follow these steps:
1. install hspl
2. task 29
3. flash stock rom
4. uninstall hspl (not necessary if you flash the rom from the sd card)
Edit:
So based on the information provided by T-Macgnolia below, you should only do steps #3 and #4 via PC/USB.

I am not really sure about when you flash via SD card if it does this or not because you are using the flashing software/program that in part of the SPL. But I do know when you flash via RUU (USB) the RUU does a task 28. So if you flash via RUU it is no reason to run a Task 29.

i agree on all counts, i suppose the way to look at it is that it wont hurt it so there is nothing to lose from doing it...
personally i think the whole task29 business has been over rated.
After flashing the ROM through sd card when the device first booted i checked whether HSPL is present but it was not and it was back to SPL what i has to use previously before installing HSPL. After that inorder to boot back into system when I rebooted the system I didn't receive any loader it booted as it use boots previously after flashing a stock rom.
Then again I flashed the stock ROM but this time through computer and thats it.
Do i still need to perform anything else?

aye thats correct, your all done, flashing a stock ROM will like this will always remove everything, RADIO, SPL and the ROM its self, its the best way to fix screwups, many "bricked" devices arnt actually bricked, as long as you can get in to the bootloader you should be fine.

Mate,
You should firstly EXTRACT the .exe file using 7Zip or WInrar.
Then find the file named: RUU_signed.nbh
Then rename it with: leoimg.nbh
Format your micro sd card with FAT 32.
Copy the above file to your root directory of your card.
Then go into bootloader and follow the onscreen instruction.
Just remember if you flash it with Shipped ROM, it will erase your HSPL and MAGLDR too.
Cheers...

Beginning to give up !!

Hi,
I am seriously beginning to give up on install Android on my HTC HD2 U.K. T mobile.
I have installed a ROM before via a video but every time I try to find a ROM I like it seems different to install than the previous one.
I have no idea where to begin and keep losing the will to keep my HTC HD2.
I really like this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1250703
But no idea where top begin.
On the site I see this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Download:
Magldr version:
- EU: MIRROR 1 - MIRROR 2 (CWR: 5/195/5 + EXT2/3/4)
- Tmous: MIRROR 1 - MIRROR 2 (CWR: 5/440/5)
cLK version
- Flash the Magldr versions, don't reboot, flash any kernel cLK you want, reboot
Eu version supported APP2SD so it will AUTO REBOOT 2 times ! It's NORMAN !
Note: turn OFF steoreo when record video !
CAMERA, CAMCORDER fix:
- EU: http://ul.to/0j6jwbvy
- Tmous: http://ul.to/oz4jm1a5
Kernels for Bliss ONLY !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do I download the eu version? And do I need to download Magldr or CLk ?
And how do I install the Camera/Camcorder fix?
if your phone is not a tmous(usa) hd2 you must download eu version.
using mgldr is easier, so i recommend flashing mgldr.
in order to flash any fixes, you must run the rom successfully first.
in oder to flash this rom with an eu-hd2 you must have 1gb or 2gb sd-ext partition.

i've never done this but it's possible (i think you will not).
now in mgldr menu go to ad recovery-advanced-partition sd card-1024-0
(so you'll have an sd-ext partition of 1gb which is necessary for this and many other roms)
then in mgldr menu (you can go to this menu by rebooting or pulling out battery) go ad recovery-mounts and storage-mount usb storage-when pc sees phone, send rom to phone
now go to mgldr menu-ad recovery-install zip from sd-choose zip from sd-find your rom and choose with call button-after installation is complete reboot phone-after approximately 20 minutes the phone will be ready.
when done write here i will have some suggestions to improve the rom.
Hey thanks for breaking it down. I kept getting confused around CWM. None of the other guides helped much. Finally got a custom Android ROM installed.
Exelent assistance mutil, but why don't u recommend to install on SD.... Its more easy and less trouble...
Although this might help others with same conflict...

[Q] Some help required! Please!

Hey guys, so i'm the new one!
I have some problem with my first attempt to put WP7 on my HD2.
I have succesfully put the HSPL 2.08, then the Radio 2.15.50.14 and after that the Magldr13 on my phone.
BUT after i tried to flash the "Pdaimatejam v4" ROM it had some error messages for the partitions, so i guess my 16GB Sandisk Class2 SD-card just isn't working.
So my installation failed :-(
I restarted my phone and now i'm stuck with the screen "booting wph, wph loading, 12345 go go go" followed by the start screen - after that nothing happens.
My question: How can I get back into the Magldr??
Am I guessing right that I now have to get a SD Card that works and flash back to WM6.5 and after that try to flash again? Or can I just try to flash again without going back to the stock?

Ok, so basically I just have to put a compatible SD-card in my phone, start the Magldr again and flash the ROM again? is that right? The old "failed" installation will be overwritten?

Yup, finding a card is the tricky bit, once you have a working card your laughing.
It should install without an SD card at all, its not much use in that state but it means you can just hard reset the device rather than have to do the whole flash thing again.
Edit:
Oh an congrats on actually reading the threads! you wouldnt have got as far as you did without doing that and is alot more than most than most new folk do on here!
Well I have 3 other SD-cards around here. I will try them and hopefully one works. ;-)
Thanks, dazza9075. I've read many threads here, many tutorials and watched "how-to" tutorials on youtube. I guess I just like to be prepared!

[Q] Issue with HTC HD2 while flashing for Android

Hey there!
I got some trouble while flashing my HD2 with Android. I processed after a step-to-step instruction using NAND Toolkit.
After i`ve installed the 3.03. HSPL i wiped it (task29).
Then i installed the Radio 2.15.50.14 ROM. At this point i think something went wrong:
The MAGLDR installation runs trough, but after that the MAGLDR Menu doens't shows up.
Can u tell me, where i made a mistake or how i can completely delete my HSPL-Version to start over?
Greets and thanks,
Pascal

You need to flash HSPL 2.08, not 3.03.

I tried it before, but since then i always get the message, that the usb connection failed. So because of that i asked, if it is possible to delete the HSPL completely or change the version.

I think that you have to select run as administrator when right clicked the icon. Try that.

It says i got a bad SPL-Version, because i already flashed it to 3.03 HSPL. How can i remove that? Admin rights doesn't affect that.

Flash original ROM via SD, you will have original SPL. Try to install HSPL then.

Not to be rude, but all of the information can be found via google or xda-search (you can find custom HD2 search by following the link in my sig.).
Edit:
To flash a rom from SD-card, download a compatible official winmo rom, rename .ruu to .zip and extract the .nbh file. Rename to LEOIMG.nbh, put it on the root of your SD card and boot.
To install HSPL, use the HD2ToolKit (google it) and use the "Install HSPL" option.

Yes, it's that easy to give YOU little instructions. But it becomes a PITA when everyone is asking for the same thing over and over.

Hm yeah right... obvious
So thanks btw, i hope it works, it's not my phone
Make sure not to flash a radio! Or else you might brick if you flash the wrong one
Hi there again!
Everything worked good so far, i got the standard SPL VErsion, flashed to 2.08 HSPL, was able to install MAGLDR and so on.
After installing a ROM now it stucks at the htc-Logo. For the repartion i used 250 MB system size and 45 mb cache. Could that be a problem?
And i supect another thing. The phone was telekom branded and bought in Germany, but i had to choose EU or Telekom US. I decided for Telekom US. Could this be the problem? I also read things about wrong SD-size but mine is 16 GB and should work fine...
So can you tell me what my problem could be?
Thanks
What ROM did you install?
You must repartition the NAND according to the ROM, not from your mind.
And are you sure the ROM doesn't require an sd-ext partition?
Did you choose the correct option (i.e. Nand, or NativeSD)
Tmo and Eu are basically: Tmo will install ALL to NAND, whereas EU will install some to NAND and some to SD.
