cm10 quarx (defy/green) bluetooth issue - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have been on cm10 quarx since 28.7.12 and updated all nightlies upto 28.8.12 (defy 525/green lens/cm7 froyo kernel).
everything is more than perfect but one strange issue regarding bluetooth.
my bluetooth is shown as a '?mb525' on windows 7 (means no phone logo seen) but i can pair with pc and transfer files. problem is i cant eastablish bluetooth personal area network service from pc to use my phone as media remote control with gremote.apk or similar programs. also defy is shown as square box on other phones(no logo). my pc recognises other phones very well ie galaxy9003 nokia311 so no issue with pc.
anybody please solve my issue.
CM10 QUARX = SUPER DEFY

Please help - tethering Z VPC Z1190x - Windows 7 x64 rndis appears then disappears

Hello,
I still use a WM phone (waiting for WP7 Focus or HD7 or Omnia7 like phone or iphone 5 to come to verizon to upgrade). I have WP7 x 64 enterprise (legit) on my PC and my laptop. My PC runs the remote ndis network no issue whatsoever. Using the same phone and cable or other cables on my laptop and the ndis appears when I first plug it in and then disappears before I can even use it to browse the web.
I thought maybe it was something I installed on my laptop so I just did a fresh format - even tried my technet version of Windows 7 with SP1 integrated - it still has the same issue before I install any other drivers - the ndis adapter shows up for a second then it is gone and my phone is no longer connected for network sharing. I can however still access the storage space on my phone from my laptop. I also tried updating the inf chipset.
I have a much older Z laptop that doesn't have this issue. It only occurs with my z1190x. I was curious if anyone else has encountered and resolved this issue as I'd prefer not to replace my laptop for at least another year.
I forgot to mention, I also updated to the latest BIOS and installed all other latest Sony drivers after and it still occcurs. I've also tried disabling power savings and plugging in the laptop to power.
I'm able to ping an IP for about 5 seconds if I start in time otherwise it goes away before I can even ping.
I also just tried formatting it with Windows 7 x32 and it has the same issue.
I realize that not everyone will have experience if your hardware differs since it seems unique to this particular laptop but I was hoping someone might have experienced it and found a work around.

[Q] Problem with bluetooth

Dear all
I have issues with my bluetooth connection
everytime I tried to connect MS2 with my laptop, it's always failed.
In this case both the laptop and MS 2 detects the bluetooth connection (I even paired them). but there is no connection (i.e I can't receive image transferred to laptop from MS2 and vise versa)
In my laptop's bluetooth device, I can find my MS2 buth with yellow mark on it. When I tried to troubleshoot this problem with win7 troubleshooter, no succes. It's said that "bluetooth peripheral device doesn't have a driver - not fixed"
Have you ever met this experience?
please guys help me, it's like pain in the ass if my MS2 cannot connect to my laptops via bluetooth..
btw I use sony vaio with win 7 64 bit
MS 2 rooted with stock ROM
Best Regards
I have the same issue with HP Probook 4320s and Windows 7 64 bit, looks like a win issue... I have no problem with my other laptop running windows vista business

thanks for sharing
yeah..maybe win issue.
I've searched the bluetooth peripheral device from both manufacturer and windows site, but nothing came up with a success.
In the bluetooth device control of my PC I clicked "send files to my phone"
I choose the .apk files and hit "send" but it failed after several second.
the message was "The request could not be honored", it seems that the phone reject the request.
But then I try to send .rar and it works. So from now on if I had to transfering files via bluetooth to my MS2, I zip it first
I'm wondering if there is an option for MS2 to "receive all incoming beam"?
give it a try guys
I have tried it on my macbook, it also can't work...
Seems motorola didn't put any effort on bluetooth file transfering...
Use some e third party apps to solve it...
Sent from my MotoA953 using XDA Premium App

[Q] Bluetooth file sharing?

According to http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=encore, Nightly 135 would include:
bluetooth network service (android_packages_apps_Settings)
bluetooth networking (PAN) (android_frameworks_base)
Does this mean that we can now send/receive files to/from other bluetooth enabled devices??? (Like mobile phones with bluetooth/PCs with bluetooth etc???)
Can someone clarify this? I know I can find out myself by waiting for the next nightlyand trying it out, but I was just so excited and couldn't resist to post a question...
I use Bluetooth File transfer to move files between my Nook and Evo. No problems pairing and moving files, running RC7.1 but it did work on 7.0.2 also.

Yup, works fine. I sent some pictures to my phone from the Nook earlier using Bluetooth.
I've been doing this as well for a while now between my phone (Motorola Droid) and Nook and even from my PC to nook and back. Although I haven't done the PC part recently since upgrading to Windows 7

PC/ Defy wont recognise mass storage mode

After I gave my Defy to my daughter when I got a new Razr I started missing tinkering with my old Defy.So I picked up a unmolested (unrooted) 2nd hand one dirt cheap. Its still on 2.2, however it's got a odd problem. It charges with the wall charger without a problem. It opens phone portal on my work pc and Motocast (what the RAZR uses)on my home pc without a problem. But when I put it in mass storage mode the pc says it is installing drivers then says it is unable to install any. This is on both my work (Win XP) and my home pc (Win 7)
Has anyone got an idea as to what it could be??

Odd. I've never had such a problem. Perhaps a factory reset or a sbf reflash will set things right. If not, maybe the phone is defective.
EDIT - Check device manager on your PC when your phone is connected. If there is a device with a small yellow triangle on the device icon on the left (Windows 7) or a yellow question mark icon (Windows XP) then it may be your phone. Right click and uninstall. Then disconnect and connect your phone again.
