A great notice for all of us!
I can't wait to give it a try!
Its a good thing I did a search because I was just about to post this too. Looks like they already started the daily updates, the 27th just got released. I am assuming its just like the first release and we just flash both zips to install it. Sounds like its not the initial preview that was released the first day so it might be more functional. Who knows, not sure if I want to risk it right now.
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch-preview/daily-preinstalled/current/
can any1 post any changes they find
I really don't want to make flashable ZIPs every day, but I might as well. I'll make a nightly section today or tomorrow, but I'm really only going to do Maguro for now.

Just wondering, but on the daily downloads page there are zip files similar to the ones that I used to flash when it was first release. Can these be flashed in the same manor? Also notice that one of the them is a zip.md5sum file, assuming that one would need to be renamed to just .zip in order to flash. Not sure, I sent in an email to Ubuntu to clarify because there download instruction page does not talk about the zip files.

They're meant for the Ubuntu phablet-flash as far as I know. You need the IMG file, and that's not exactly flashable in CWM or TWRP right now.

Thanks
Anyone want to start a thread or wiki who can keep track of changes that people notice. What apps are showing, what works, etc? Maybe a "change log" of changes noticed throughout past week or since the first dailies, if we have enough room. I would do this myself, but do not have the time to backup, flash, document, reload backup, update thread, etc.
But simply if i download quantal-preinstalled-armel+maguro.zip of the day and phablet.zip wouldnt it be enought to flash ubuntu?

I'm not sure. But I meant custom, debloated ZIPs (without the dummy contacts, messages, apps, and etc). I haven't flashed any of them yet, as I've been invested other things today.

Anyone know the changes in today's build?
Does anyone know if there's a changelog for the everyday builds?
If yes, please post the link, thank you!
Is there a mako maintainer?

Yes they can. Download the latest armel maguro and phablet .zips if you have gnex gsm. Factory reset, Flash armel.zip then phablet armf.zip.

I read on the Ubuntu-Touch mailing list that change logs will be implemented next work week (Mar 4th-8th) for the daily builds.
Thanks for that. I flashed the initial Developer Preview and then flashed a slightly newer build from this past Monday/Tuesday. Didn't notice any obvious differences. A change log would be really helpful.

Busy flashing the latest build. I'll report back later if it has any noticeable changes.

Just finished flashing. I can't see any differences. Same fake tweets, same fake phone calls etc. I'll scratch around a bit more. Maybe they fixed some apps or something.

Hey guys, I'm working on porting Liquid Smooth to the N5110 and am gauging interest.
Any volunteer testers?
So far, I've ported a copy based on Note 2 using Sbrissen's CM10.2 as a base.
Here is the link:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23203820527943718
You will need to flash this then gapps.
Please flash at your own risk!
This is a test only.
I am currently trying to get one built from source too.
If I got the time, then I might be willing to test this. I'll inform you later if I'll test this

I assume this is android 4.3 and needs 4.3 GApps?

The ROM works great, the Performance control crashes and the first boot when google syncs/downloads the apps you have had synced with google didn't work for me(don't know if it's just me or all the devices), BUT downloading from Play Store works fine. These are probably the only bugs for now, will update when a new bug appears, btw nice rom I love it!

The logcat won't do much good. I'm developing blind. Learning as I go.
Would you mind trying another performance app?
Maybe trickster mod.
Also. I've posted a link to the developer forum just now if you would like to continue questions there.
Thank you!
Charging my tablet in preparation for flashing, I'll probably test this out and post screenshots.

Oh, man... I got all excited about it, but it's still full of bugs. Well, waiting for development is the price we have to pay for getting the newest, shiniest phone.
I can't even download it. I get an error when I first try it, then I try again and it says I've reached the hourly download limit.

Hello,
The new update is very nice. The performance is buttery smooth on stock.
Given the way that the three files must be manually flashed via fastboot, are there any confirmed working recoveries at the moment? If I could flash a gapps package, I would gladly use this as a daily driver.

You can install the latest build (boot, system, userdata) then flash the andro kernel boot.img. Boot into TWRP. Flash gapps, and then reflash the original boot.img. Boom Gapps.
Any chance to see a working camera and working video playback for youtube soon? Would love to run this instead of cyan****

Any Dev that can port CyanogenMod to this device? Pure Android is clean and naturally debloated without the LG OEM junk. And the UI on CyanogenMod stays stock Android. There's currently a beta CyanogenMod ROM but the development is so slow that its taking months just for an update. I think CyanogenMod is better than any other ROM out there. Although its nice to see a debloated ROM based off stock.

I'm a noob with regard to KF development but I'd like to upgrade this KF HD (system 4.0.3 - 7.5.1) and I've downloaded a couple of ROM's but I don't want to brick this thing. It's rooted and I've got TWRP 1.13 installed. I believe this is a first generation HD(?). It's got 16GB, wi-fi, only a front camera AND it has an HDMI port which I think the 2nd gen does not have. Model number is X43Z60, serial number begins with D025. Is this a Ford or Austin device or something else? Will those ROM's be OK? I've downloaded the lineage-14.1 ROMS.
Also - I only use this KF for reading books and for remote control of my TV/cable/audio using the Harmony Hub app (the latest version of which will not install). If I upgrade the ROM will Amazon still be able to download books to it?
OK, DevCheck would not install. It requires a later version of Android. This KFHD in on 4.0.3. I did more research and I think this device is Tate. The latest Android update I can find is cm-12.1-20161016-NIGHTLY-tate. I'm not sure how to install this. All the step-by-step instruction I've found rely on tools I cannot install (Flashfire).

Custom Rom question
HI, I have a few HD 7 and hd8's in my possession.
I want to make them user friendly and also set parental controls.
For example, I want the most basic android system with control over which apps can be used or installed.
(Zoom and Gmail)
Every other app would be locked down.
Does such an animal exist?
Thanks in advance.
