Hacking is the logic how you enter to anyone system from loophole or back-door.
If you want to become a hacker you cannot jump it to pro or become a great hackers in a month. There might be courses in your country about ethical hacking or white hacking but they are just introduction to hacking which you can learn using Open sources like Google, forums and YouTube...
The ethical hacking consists of Trojan,WEP, WPA (Wireless network) hacking,DDOS(by sending traffic to your network for making traffic jam)
, Windows and linux hacking.
learning to change password for 7, Remote shutdown these stuffs is just a tricks they are 0.000000000000001 portion of hacking they are actually a trick learning these stuffs does not make you a hacker
But the best suggestion from my side is to start from 0, start with 0 level of networking like what is network, how it works,...
In order to become a professional hackers like hacktivist group Anonymous You should learn minor to major aspects of network as well as great programming skills.
Just know how stuffs works,How to create back-door or loophole, how to enter into anyone system.
But to become an average hacker you can focus on networking only.I suggest you to use Linux as there isnt any proper platform than Linux to learn everything.Start from 0 and i bet you'll become a average hacker in some year.Know in details about working process of protocols, How to penetrate each layers of network...
(Actually for ethical hacking there is OS by Linux named as BackTrack You can learn it easily from youtube)
If it helped press thanks

The possible answer for your query is YES. Though it is illegal I just wanna reveal how DDOS works (not the process i am against hacking for bad )
There are two type of attacks
DOS Attackone in single PC sending more traffic to the desired server.
DDOS: Done with numerous computer. It is done by remote logging to (anonymous) other peoples computer (these sorts of people who use others computers to attack server are called as zombies). From each computer the program is executed which consists of instructions to send message with an attachment (basically 10MB +data) which are sent to server. The continuous data sending makes server full or out of space which makes traffic jam and the site or server goes down which is called as DDOS.
It's only for knowledge hope you understand

As much as we like to share info on this site. If some one comes in here and asks for help to learn hacking. Why would any one want to help that person. For all we know is they could be trying to set people up to divulge info so as to try to get this site takeb down. Or it could be our super honest law enforcement trying to find more people to make an example out of. We all know that that type of crap happens. If some one wanted to know something so bad. They know Google. Plain and simple. Dont feed the machine. Even the most minor example is a strike aginst one or the whole forum. It is not like the OP asked how can I learn how to infiltrate my computer or wireless network to see how secure it is. That is a responsible question. Not I want to learn how to be a hacker. Who can help me?
Think peole befor you give your permanent comments. Good day.

Yeah deatnotice was right google is your bestfriend. Use youtube and google i am learing allot of it information. And by the way hacking is not illegal it is only for educational purposes. I have downloaded 30 hacking apps for my computer and avast said it was a virus Contacting Anonymous Is dangerous you should not do it unless your an it, you know how to fix your computer, your a hacker. And by the way downloading hacking apps it is not really easy because most of them have password and force use to visit the that have the password but it have a survey that you cant bypass except using survey bypasser which also require survey for you to download. I have downloaded a survey bypasser with no virus and not locked but i need to enable jit debugging which is really dangerous for that app just to work.

You don't. The Devs are really just harvesting all our personal and bank account details to commit the biggest swindle in history.
The codename for this piece of criminal mischief is project Nand!
Beware.
OMG is this true?!?! Thanks for the warning! I definitely wont be upgrading to NAND when it is available now!!
Don't laugh, a few months ago I saw someone on here offering to sell credit card details and other personal details at 20 bucks a piece...it might be a valid question. Hope we don't have a reason to worry though!
Lol, dont use your phone for money transactions then..

This thread delivers.
My 2 Cents
Here is something to think about.
when you begin hacking your phone (flashing/rooting/custom roms/emulations/etc) you are exposing yourself to a level of risk, your phone is no longer as secure and could be open to various means of attack. but then in today's world your phone is at risk to some extent when you turn it on because it is connected to the network/wifi/bluetooth/etc so do what you can to keep your private data secure, use your brain to make choices and if you are unsure about something then don't do it, (if you are not comfortable with this then don't use your phone to do finance related transactions) that being said, in my time here I have not become aware of any intentional attempts by the devs to conduct such a scam. this is a mostly self policing community and I know any number of members here that would react very negatively to any attempt at such activity. so that is my 2 cents and take them as you will.
Cheers

p.s. sorry for my bad english
Wow people have got some imaginations but it is worth thinking about, we install everything at our own will so if something like this does occur during the line, we only have ourselves to blame but I trust the developers as iIve been using custom roms for a few years now and nothing like this has occurred

Of course that's a joke
If you're concerned about your account, thats perfectly fine.
The kernel source is out there so you can inspect it for yourself if there is anything suspicious
As for builds, you can check those by mounting the system.ext2 file in a linux O/S and inspecting those files too.
Hope that helps

Yeah that's also a key point although, me included in this, alot of members wont actually understand the kernal source code but we trust the developers, i see you posted the picture on the IRC Log lol
all kernel commits are reviewed on submit, and reverted if bad (only markinus and letama can directly commit anyway)
as for builds...use your own not that hard to get cm6 nightly and add the libs needed for leo (which you can build yourself from android source)
Believe me, your Google account is never safe...

I am currently working on a website I plan to "release". It will be like a community where there will be a forum, custom ROMs section, download section etc and alot more to be added. There will be easy guides for root'ing, installing custom recovery etc. There will also be a good place for developers to help eachother, guides for porting and such stuff and alot more.
The design of the website is all made by me with photoshop, and its is coded (by me) with pure HTML, PHP, CSS and MySQL. Of course the design is still in "beta", and there will propably be alot of changes to it. For instance the main box and the right-menu will be changed, since its ugly imo. As I said alot of things will be changed! As CMS we will use Wordpress!
If you'd like to work as a news uploader, moderator at the forum etc, feel free to contact me.
Here is a screenshot of the website (The text on it is wrote by me in like 3 minutes ):

Again, it dedicated for the X10, not a million different devices. That means that the site is easier, more noob friendly. I know it can be hard for absolute noobs to know which thread to get to on how to root etc here on XDA. So this site will make it easier for them!
And the site will propably offer file hosting, so it'll be easy to have all x10 related on one site.
I'm think in the "custom ROMs" section, there will be a list of all available ROMs, with the most rated at the top, screenshots, Froyo/GB, specifications and all of that stuff. I certainly hope that developers will upload there ROMs themselfes!
Sounds like a good idea. I think that most beneficial would be an option to download any ROM and that kind of stuff from one place. XDA is good as people share they experience and communicate with each other, but it's still just a forum and despite the categorization these things are not grouped together, so having a dedicated website for X10 owners with all important stuff in it would be great. I'm looking forward to it
There is a couple of X10 dedicated sites out there. http://www.xperiax10.net/ is one of them.

Honestly, this may have been a good idea worth doing about a year ago but right now anybody with an X10 that is even the slightest bit interested in rooting would have found their way here by now.
Effort is good however you can make it big if you shift your focus a bit.
Make it a front end for XDA.
what i would suggest is
Don't include forum... too much of overhead, also no need of creating parellel forum and dividing efforts.
Focus on custom ROM's.
Provide noob guides
Provide video's of ROM working.
Provide refer back links to XDA forum.....
Forum is basically for discussion, you can work on providing X10i specific work in concise format.
Create FAQ's and howto's and tips and tricks....
great site about great phone
Maybe do it for the arc as well?

So, how does this work?!!
Most of the dev threads I've been to, for my P509, used multiupload.
FORTUNATELY, I've made a collection since first discovery; but what of updates?... or future roms?
What comes next for method(s) of dispersal? Not only for ROMs, but for Recoveries?
I suppose writing to the recovery and/or rom author, in request via email could work.
Any other ideas?

This may seem a bit asinine; would it be unnecessary to ask for permission to redistribute their roms?
The plan is to put them out intact, and as I found them; each with corresponding links that lead to the original authors page here on xda or otherwise.
Guess it would depend on the author...
KANG - To steal or a stolen code when referring to programming. Also can refer to leaked coding.
Due to the copious amounts of kanging that now happens in regards to android development I will be pulling all of my links and changing the original posts with this. If you would like to use my roms please feel free to find the kanged version elsewhere.
For inspiring developers, rtfm or ask someone who knows what they are doing before you steal someone elses work, look at someones code and get the general idea. If you port or use something as a base, credit that person. Do not just link back to the thread where you got it from. My email is [email protected] so feel free to ask questions, if I know the answers I will be willing to assist.
I don't wish to call anyone out but I will say there are a few roms, specifically for MT4G Slide that have been kanged. One of which was taken from me, another was a kanged version of CM7 which was just the Settings.apk SettingsProvider.apk and Launcher.apk replaced. CM7 is framework edits, not just a list of apps an entire team works on. You cannot just replace apps in CyanogenMod and expect it to work thus the reason some parts of the Settings.apk force close. Its not hard to be an idiot but its even easier to spot bull**** work, do yourselves a favor, leave xda, leave rootzwiki, leave whatever thread you are on and learn from people who know what the fk they're doing.
If my email fills with hate mail, then fine, at least what I did I feel was right and do not have to worry about my development being taken and rebadged, if I'm out of line then have a moderator delete and close my thread. Thanks!
I have learned a whole lot from you, and couldn't imagine missing them "classes"

Rootz has great guides, so does the google code page when it comes to smali/baksmali (thanks one_love)... But some people have an easier time learning when they are walked through the steps. I also plan on making notes of JKILO's sessions to keep for myself and to give out to those that are interested.

As For Everyone Else
What is a good schedule for you? I'm usually available 8:30PM EST Mon-Thursday and about 9PM Fri-Sun
Im trying to hit whatever is best for all so I'll be flexible as much as possible. I plan to deliver the classes in a certain order too as in, porting, update.zips, logcat reading to get it to boot, editing the ramdisk for permissions or whatever else, and so on
I generally focus on hardware topics. Got any information about new hardware you'd like to hear about? Any interesting new devices? Tips, tricks or techniques?
Post here and I will look into it.
Sir, I saw your video "How to build an Android App Part 1". Towards the end of the video, you connect your phone to your PC and click on the play button, a dialogue box appears, where you click OK and the application then runs on your phone. But when I click the play button on Eclipse, it opens a new XML file called 'main.out'. Please help me!
Thanks!

you may need to update the SDK. Try reinstalling Eclipse Classic as well.

I watched your second video too, sir. It's very hard to write a java program for an android app. I'm in class 10 and in our school we've started studying java since 9. So i could understand only 40% of the java program in your video. I guess i'll have to study java a lot more.

Hi I would like to say thanks for making some great videos for us,
There funny and educational.
I no every one seems to be going on about Azrienoch and Sassi leaving and xda tv changing.
But personally I like your type of videos better.
Thanks again.
Adam, when android starts using c# instead of java will you also be doing a video tutorial on that?

No. I dont want to deal with C# and it is not as refined as java. May show how to set it up but i have no intention of using it as a primary language. There is too much going for java.

I see. Even if google makes it as a standard language can we still use java?

We can cross that bridge when we get there. It would take something way bigger than the current Oracle case to do that. There's no reason to change languages now. Oracle must prove that their business is "damaged"... it's not, they tried several times to make a mobile OS and failed. They gave up. Google stepped in.

Hi Adam Sir,
I really liked your videos and i am totally noob to java but i followed your videos and made my first own app. I felt really happy and from that day i was searching for you to say thanks for helping us as it really made my day. I made one app for my GF where it had only one button and i changed the name of the button to "surprise" and when she clicked it the text msg came saying how much i love her and it made her day. She check that app everyday and gets very happy. Thank you so much for all this. I will be waiting fit your next video.

Congrats!
I did something similar for my dad on fathers day. I sent him a tablet with a custom application on it wishing him a happy fathers day.
Hi Mr.Adam
one of the biggest unsolved problem here in xda is the problem of the "UKNOWN BASEBAND" on the galaxy s2, a lot of people believe to be a software problem & many others said that is a hardware problem as some of them claim that a small chip located next to the sim card slot on the motherboard gets corrupted which results the "unknown baseband" error, could you please shade some light on that & enlighten us what could be the source of such a problem..?
thanks.

Hi, Adam. I loved your videos. Very helpful to me as a starter, though I still could use a lot more help.
Anyway, what I was actually gonna ask is that, my tablet, an Acer A500, has a pretty good development going on, and since it has a USB host port, devs have made it possible to use an External 3G USB stick on it. It works pretty well, but having that USB stick on it while using it on the go, is not very user friendly. I was wondering if it is possible to put the stick inside the tablet? I asked you because you said you focus on hardware modding.
One note, I have disassembled the tablet a couple of times, it's quite easy actually. I even painted it . Look here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588625

Yeah. But youd need schematics. You would take the usb signal and split it before it goes to the usb chip.
just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos, I have learned a lot from them.
Hello sir,
I have followed your work from quite some time, and appreciate it a lot.
I have a Galaxy SL i9003 (OMAP 3630). Device has fair amount of development going on with some great dedicated developers working on it. But from past many days, development has been stopped due to no availability of kernel 3.0 although the sources are available. Devs are unable to continue because they don't know how to work with UART, and cannot build the kernel eventually. I read your guide on UART and thought it would be better to ask you here.
My question is, can you help the devs in any way possible to get the kernel atleast to boot?
The devs have a device ready to donate and can give the device to you if it helps you to develop for that device. Also, i am aware that you concentrate on hardware more and you do not have much free time because of being an elite recognized developer. Sorry if i troubled you or anyone in any way . Thanks.
P.S. - Its a personal question, i don't represent i9003 community.

Thank you for your interest in UART on the i9003. I am experiencing an unusually high PM volume on the i9003 at this time. While I would like to help out on all devices, I simply do not have time. I would recommend checking out some of my posts on utilization of external UART as well as internal uart.
Internal UART is more difficult to locate, but it provides a more permanent solution. External UART is easier to utilize on Samsung devices, but it must be disconnected to upload a new kernel.
Here is a diagram of external USB UART for Samsung devices.Using this diagram you should be able to construct your own UART device.
