I ran the into the same problem with CWM on my N7. It turns out that cwm keeps a set of files in the cwm backup folder called BOB or something along those lines. I think and this is just my guess that cwm compares files it backs up to the files in the BOB folder and only backs up newer files.
Do a search and you'll find others who comment on the issue and it's possible causes. And some, including myself, also had trouble removing cwm backed up files.

[Q] WPA supplicant.conf

Previously when using gb, I am able to view the AP list from this file. However, now I can't with jb, anybody can advice? It was supposed to be at /data /misc/wpa_supplicant. Thanks.

ehrh i think all wifi related stuff is at
/data/etc/wifi
or /system/etc/wifi
one of those. Can't really remember..
I've looked in those locations. In fact I have searched wifi_supplicant but couldn't find it. Could it be that the name changed in jb?

Hi,
In /system/bin there is a file "wpa_supplicant". Are you sure it's "wifi_supplicant" the file you're looking for?
I have not "wifi_supplicant"...
/system/bin/wpa_supplicant
/data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant
(/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf)
/system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
Since GB some system files have changed their names... Obviously...
Basically I'm looking for the list of ap stored on my phone...

How to do a proper EFS (imei) backup on the 9505?

Hey fellas, I just bought my S4 yesterday and rooted it as soon as I got home. I want to flash another ROM to it, but I am afraid the imei might disappear etc.
I have searched the forum but not found a really good answer. Some people claim you only have to copy the EFS folder in root explorer and save it on your SD-card. Some people say you have to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41559366&postcount=2
That didn't work on my i9505 (rooted with CF-auto-root).
So, how do I properly take a backup of the EFS and IMEI stuff before I start playing around with ROMs etc?

[Q] LG G2 low internal storage

So I am new to this flashing roms scene and after installing TWRP backing up my original phone set-up. I flashed cyangenmod 11.1 nightly, I had about 15GBs used at this point are installing all of my apps. Then today I decided to install the more stable 10.2. After wiping clean (factory reset) and flashing cyanogenmod 10.2 my internal storage reads 22gbs used leaving me litlle room for anything else. My question is how do I free up tons of room?
Try performing cache and dalvik wipes after Rom installation it might help a little.

I already did an advanced wipe except for system and something else. Kept my os intact but that's about it. haha.
Sorry for hijacking this thread.
I've low storage space left too.
I've a 16gb d802. Installed rgui rom. I've about 500 mb media and the rom file 1,6gb for a fast fix when something gets wrong. And about 2-300 MB apps. So where's the rest of the storage?

It seems that most of backups are not visible or hidden files visible when u go to sdcard/whatever folder instead I read u need to go to mnt folder and then go to where ever u want to go to find and verify and delete files that u don't need.

Have you used lucky patcher? If yes, then find the odex file of the corresponding apk and delete it. If u havent used lucky patcher, IDK other methods except to wipe data.

Any help or suggestions?

I've had my N3 since day 1 but due to lack of a PC I was unable to root until last night. I was on MJE and rooted using Kingo with USB 3.0. All went well, got root, super user, installed safe strap recovery, etc. The problem I have is actual with the transparent weather widget I flashed. I am new to Safe strap but all I did was download and flash like I would've in TWRP or CWM and it was successful but afterwards I rebooted and I have some sort of issue with the weather widget gps and settings. See pics. Anything I missed? Or didn't do?

*Also should probably note that when I tap on the weather widget and the weather app first opens, for a real quick second it says "already registered" but it disappears too quick to grab a screen shot.

Yeah it was. I actually figured it out and solved my own problem lol. I had to delete the odex accuweather file that was under the accuweather apk file that i replaced. As soon as i deleted that and rebooted it worked. I just didn't know if i should or not because inside the system/app folder there were other apk files for other apps that had odex files below them too and those were all apk's that were stock/pre installed so I was hesitant to delete it. Took a chance and it worked out. I'll leave this up just in case it helps anyone else with newb tendencies like me lol. However if anyone needs to delete this thread or needs me to, that's ok too. Who knows? It may help someone.
