[Q] WPA supplicant.conf - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Previously when using gb, I am able to view the AP list from this file. However, now I can't with jb, anybody can advice? It was supposed to be at /data /misc/wpa_supplicant. Thanks.

ehrh i think all wifi related stuff is at
/data/etc/wifi
or /system/etc/wifi
one of those. Can't really remember..

I've looked in those locations. In fact I have searched wifi_supplicant but couldn't find it. Could it be that the name changed in jb?

Hi,
In /system/bin there is a file "wpa_supplicant". Are you sure it's "wifi_supplicant" the file you're looking for?
I have not "wifi_supplicant"...
/system/bin/wpa_supplicant
/data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant
(/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf)
/system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
Since GB some system files have changed their names... Obviously...

Basically I'm looking for the list of ap stored on my phone...

I ran the into the same problem with CWM on my N7. It turns out that cwm keeps a set of files in the cwm backup folder called BOB or something along those lines. I think and this is just my guess that cwm compares files it backs up to the files in the BOB folder and only backs up newer files.
Do a search and you'll find others who comment on the issue and it's possible causes. And some, including myself, also had trouble removing cwm backed up files.

Unable to delete system apps

Hey XDA,
I recently upgraded to JSS 4.3 from 4.2.2 with franco kernel. My issue is that I'm unable to delete system apps using es file explorer, it shows the toast notification "file is read only". I've given it SuperSU permissions, so that shouldn't be the error. I've tried using TWRP to fix permissions as well.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Worked! Thank you very much, this was a very useful and detailed guide. +++1
As a side not, it says Uninstall failed BUT the uninstall appears to actually work. Assuming this is just an odd ES glitch.
Thanks again Andy!

Just reported this minor glitch.
Your welcome.
EDIT: Looks like binary misreporting, I know a method which can fix this.
It is to delete has it was BUT for the checking part the command "ls" gets used to check if that is removed.

Nexus 4 factory image

Hello! I am not wanting to restore my device atm, but I wanted to extract the image etc in case I need it in the future.
But for the recovery.img and system.img it says it was last editted 31-12-2008. How is that possible and can I flash it however it says 31-12-2008?
And for the rest, is everything right for flashing the image to my device?

The date is incorrect and is in the files metadata so it will still work.

It is going to say that it is damaged or something because it uses some type of encryption to protect the file itself.
How big is the file?

Then the image is fine, it is all safe to flash.
If the download was corrupted then the zip file itself with all that would be corrupted and you will not be able to open or/and extract it

Ok, but how would you explain the date?
And I did everything right in the screen? I can just flash the six .img files?

This issue occurs to files for some random reason, the metadata date info is created by the computer by using the computer date and time so that could be why.
Yes you can flash all those files just fine.

Have you used lucky patcher? If yes, then find the odex file of the corresponding apk and delete it. If u havent used lucky patcher, IDK other methods except to wipe data.

Anybody else getting constant reboots with this version?
Tried upgrading to N from stock and it's dropped me into a bootloop. Now looking for the OTA file to see if an adb sideload will fix the problem

May be placebo, but my wifi suffered on preview 2, now it's back to normal like it was on MM and N preview 1.

I was f***ed yesterday, and an ADB sideload is the only thing that allowed to get Android back at all.

You need the vendor.img as well .. to be safe
Try this package .. Update.ZIP_PixelC_Ryu_NPD35K-system-vendor.zip -> to be installed via TWRP.
Have a look here .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-c/development/twrp-flashable-monthly-update-zip-pixel-t3375591
Cheers
Seems to be working fine for me at the moment, haven't really noticed anything different from dev preview 2 though.
