[Q] Need answer :))

Is there any roms working with the Tattoo ??
Have installed Root and it is working great, but is there any Rom`s actually working with this phone ??
I am a newbie and have been reading the forums for hours now and all i get so far is nothing........

Well, i have found a lot of roms, but how do i upgrade my phone......need step by step instructions in plain english, all descriptions are in tecnical english that i dont understand (
Have downloaded Fryo 0.72.c, but how do i use it to upgrade my phone ??
Hope to get some answers as i am really new to this with android, earlier i had a Iphone and jailbreaked it constantly, but as i say, Android is new to me )

Do you really need to change the ROM? I feel good with my 1.6

dear its called searching and reading its only a few months since i got my tattoo(i was & still is a WM user i also have a jade) and i have read in the development section & did all required and have rooted & flashed many roms in about 10 days of getting my new tattoo so if i can do it u can do it too pls look around read and u have all the answers u want in the development section
any way this is how u flash it assuming u have done root
put the rom u wana flash on the root of of ur SD
off the phone ,press down home and power on the phone wen u get the tattoo words release the home button but keep pressing down the power button u will get into a H boot with green words scroll down to flash from SD and clik on it using ur green answer button and do what the screen says
u need to be patient while the flashing is happening just wait till u get back the green screen and clik on the reboot screen and again u need to wait again as the reboot would take some time
Note : u need to do a wipe before doing the above

That means wipe factory reset and dalvik-cache. Don't forget backup!

It patches a security hole in twitter authentication.
I cannot install this on my custom ROM

Installed it, but after I no longer can login with Peep/twitter.
I have the latest official ROM installed.
Any ideas how to fix it or uninstall?

PS: BTW I have the same issue (can't login) with youtube!

I installed it. Encounter some problems afterwards, Youtube application crashes in half a second when i try to use it and when I open People, All People, Updates and Events, screen goes to background and ''HTC Sense is starting'' message appears. Weird

To uninstall, hard reset is the option (that i know of)
Remember to take backup of contacts & etc.

I have done the hard reset, but as soon I install this patch the twitter/peep stops working (can't login)..
So, I lot of work for nothing ..

Do you use a stock rom? Then blame HTC

My Twitter/Peep stopped updating since 2 days ago, but I can login/logout it. Should I try to reinstall the HTC patch? Before (see threads above) it either fixed my problems and have to hard reset.

I have exactly the same problem. Going to have to do a hard reset to get everything else back working :-(

I tryed to instal de new update like you guys said above but nothing works !
Can't login to twitter any more at all.
I want to do a hard reset like you guys said, but uhmm, could some one please tell me how to do a hard reset ?? I realy don't know how to do this.

There are two methods!
1)Go to "Settings>Security>Factory reset (the easy one)
2)Power Off your phone.Press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.While holding the volume buttons, press the POWER button briefly and then release it.When you see a warning message release the volume buttons.Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset

Problem with recovery mode

Hello guys !
First of all saddened for my rather bad English because I use a translator
My problem is that my recovery mode is innaccessible :/
This morning I wanted to put my wildfire with the new cyanogen 7.1.0.1
As usual I restarted in recovery mode to make a wipe and after a "install zip" , but many times i've try , i've got a problem :'(
I have this logo many times :

I can't access to my recovery , i can't make the update :'(

You get the problem when you use the power button to select things in Clockworkmod. Solution is to obviously use the trackball.

Htc diam 100 hang on start htc screen.

this htc just hang on htc touch logo screen.i did try for hard reset but nothing happen then i try for ROM upgrade but after 1% upgrade give error. and then i try for Hspl nothing happen plz tell me solution how can i fix this HTC phone. i m waiting ur replay.

You should post on the diamond forum, not here. You will get better support there.
Anyway, download the official Rom for your device and flash it.
Then install the Hspl and flash your custom Rom.

Bricked ?! Please help !

I was trying to put android in HD2 and i was following a guide, i did HardSPL, updated radio and then i installed MAGLDR, after installing the phone rebooted and all i get is HTC's white boot screen with htc written in green....please please help..
The big problem is that, it isnt my phone and my friend trusted me and gave it to me for installing android...
Please please help...i have heard best developers are for HD2 ...
i tried hard reset too...
I know this is the wrong place to post maybe but i am desperate

You have to make sure the partitions are set as recomended by the rom's chef.
Look for hd2 tool kit on the forum, flash stock winmo and start from scratch.
I experience this the first time. If hspl and radio are installed you dont have to do this again.

First things first: This is the wrong forum. Please look into the HD2 Android Q&A forum. This forum is development only.
Apart from this, right after turning the device on, press and hold the Volume Down key. It should bring you back into the color-bar HardSPL menu. From there you can re-try flashing MAGLDR or cLK.
As a general rule: If your phone still does something, anything, when turning it on, it is not bricked.

Why don't you try flashing stock WM 6.5 rom? You would immediately come to know if its bricked. If it works it ain't.
But I feel you must have run task 29 and now its stuck at the HTC screen because there is no second bootloader installed yet.
And yes wrong place to post.

task29 is overrated, I haven't used it after the first time.
@OP, just remove battery and put it back, hold volume down and power button together (and keep the volume down pressed), you should be in the tri color screen (SPL), now flash your boot loader of choice (magldr or clk) and then just follow their respective guides on flashing android.
