Bricked ?! Please help ! - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I was trying to put android in HD2 and i was following a guide, i did HardSPL, updated radio and then i installed MAGLDR, after installing the phone rebooted and all i get is HTC's white boot screen with htc written in green....please please help..
The big problem is that, it isnt my phone and my friend trusted me and gave it to me for installing android...
Please please help...i have heard best developers are for HD2 ...
i tried hard reset too...
I know this is the wrong place to post maybe but i am desperate

You have to make sure the partitions are set as recomended by the rom's chef.
Look for hd2 tool kit on the forum, flash stock winmo and start from scratch.
I experience this the first time. If hspl and radio are installed you dont have to do this again.
Hope to have helped.

its not teh partitions, , the partitions havent been set yet. see my answer in your other duplicate thread.
also, don't cross post. and dont post questions in the development thread, use the q and a thread, ,, , oh, wait, you already did.

First things first: This is the wrong forum. Please look into the HD2 Android Q&A forum. This forum is development only.
Apart from this, right after turning the device on, press and hold the Volume Down key. It should bring you back into the color-bar HardSPL menu. From there you can re-try flashing MAGLDR or cLK.
As a general rule: If your phone still does something, anything, when turning it on, it is not bricked.

Why don't you try flashing stock WM 6.5 rom? You would immediately come to know if its bricked. If it works it ain't.
But I feel you must have run task 29 and now its stuck at the HTC screen because there is no second bootloader installed yet.
And yes wrong place to post.

task29 is overrated, I haven't used it after the first time.
@OP, just remove battery and put it back, hold volume down and power button together (and keep the volume down pressed), you should be in the tri color screen (SPL), now flash your boot loader of choice (magldr or clk) and then just follow their respective guides on flashing android.

you could try the red reset button on the back behind the backplate

Sounds like the rom you're flashing isn't compatible with your radio/spl combination. Why don't you post your radio and we'll point you to a rom to install.
I've been there and done it. Took me forever to figure it out.

I checked the link witch is posted above.
But i`m not getting out, stuck with a few things.
first: i`ve got installed the 2.08HSPL.
second: can`t change the radio to 2.15.50.14, stuck at 96%.
third: can`t get into the bootscreen of MAGLDR after the included RUU, it goes straightly to the white screen with htc logo and getting stuck.
This was driving me nuts!
How to fix this all?
Thnx!

Hi,
Sorry to be the one to tell you but you have bricked your HD2. When you are flashing a radio you cannot interrupt it until it is done flashing the radio or it will brick your device. The radio is very important, it is what has the data the IPL of the bootloader needs to boot the hardware of the device. No radio equals no working device, or what is known as a bricked device.
Crap!
But I still can get in the bootscreen!
Can you post a link from a radio updater, maybe I can try it again?!
Or can I get winmo back?

Hi,
Try:
Go to HTC site>support>download>ROM upgrade and choose appropriate ROM upgrade for your phone
Extract with winrar or 7z the RUU_Leo_HTC_****************************_Ship.exe
find the larger *.nbh file and rename it to leoimg.nbh and place this file on an sd card that is 4gb or less
and reboot to bootloader (the one with 4 colors, hold volume down button)
follow the instructions from there
That way you will have your original software with SPL restored and ready to send it for repair
No need for PC drivers etc.

That is the most ridiculous comment I have ever seen on XDA.
Ofcousre its a big deal moron. If we simply excused every person and let anybody post anywhere this site would be a complete waste of time.
Why should we "appreciate" it?
People with common sense use the search function or google a couple of keywords+XDA or even in the minimum read a couple of sticky threads before asking what is obviously a very common request.
I don't think he bricked it. Try flashing HSPL and radio again. I've seriously had my phone fall down and get disconnected while flashing radio before. Worried the hell out of me, but I just tried again and it was fine
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I`ve got winmo back !
Solution:
Download the normal rom and then i changed RUU_Signed.nbh to leoimg.nbh,
then i run the bootsloader again and installed the normal rom by the RomUtilitieUpdate.exe and now it works fine again.
But still no android .
I`ll check later how to install that correctly!
Thank you all guys!

Okay just wondering why dft image is coming if you have an android rom. Anyway.
As far as I understand you can't get into magldr?
If you can do i would suggest to go into clockwork mod but i think you won't have it.
I think you should just do a complete reflash or anybody gives him a magldr cwm which can be started via magldr android sd function to let you make a backup of the whole entire rom and than flash a rom via cwm.
Hope somebody can tell you more since I am not on my computer.

ALL CAPS DOESN'T HELP, IT JUST MAKES YOUR POST LOOK STUPID! Seriously, all that does is discourages people from helping. Anyway nobody is going to help you do something so simple which there are tonnes of guides for, they're only going to point to one of these said guides. E.g. the post above, and my post also has a guide in it somewhere... if you look carefully.

Serious question...please help

Hey Guys I have been changing roms alot on my HD2 but I run them off the SD card, which from my experience so far isnt bad at all. But what I would like to do is Dual run WP7 and then Android off the Sd card. Only problem I have is that my physical back button does not work, and every time I se something about flashing a rom with magdlr its says something about using the back button. I guess my question is, is there anay way I can Run WP7 on Nand without having to use my back button? Any help I really appreciate...(and if this is not the right area to ask please let me know and I will move my question to the appropriate place) thanks in advance, :fingers-crossed:
Seriously, this should be in the QUESTIONS section.
LOL
you can try the new CWM Recovery (Still in beta as of this post) which is Touch enabled.
First beta version came with a soft back button although it might have been removed in the newer beta versions.

This has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever read:
1. You're asking a question in the DEVELOPMENT FORUMS.
2. You're asking a question about WP7/SD Android in the NAND forums.
3. You clearly haven't done enough searching before asking your question
4. Your thread is titled wrongly. 'Some questions' doesn't give the people who are trying to help you any information, and I would have just skipped over this thread had it not been in the wrong forum.
as above, you deserve the roasting, , ,however, since i'm in a rare good mood, , the answer is no, you don't need the back button at all to flash magldr/cwm/clk/nand roms/wp7 roms. Send, end and voldown are all you need.
Really?!?

This type of answer is definitely understandable, but for
1. I could have sworn people have ran WP7 on the NAND and Android on the SD card (meaning the base is WP7 and they can run Android off the SD card.) ...maybe im wrong
2. You are correct I havent done enough researching on it, I was going based off some Youtube vids and what some people kept tellin me.
3. My thread isn't titled "Some questions" my thread is titled "Serious Question...please help" and I understand that I posted in the wrong place which is why if you read my whole post I established that I would move it if needed.
4. Im a noob when it comes to the HD2 I do understand that...but no need to act like a sarcastic **** about it

Thank you for this thread.
I own and maintain 2 HTC HD2s (T-Mo edition), and both have been using custom Android NAND-based ROMs ever since I got the phones. The issue is that with time, there are more and more random bugs and reboots. Like a ROM suddenly crashing and rebooting, and upon reboot some programs are missing (needs a reboot or a reboot + Dalvik clear to fix), or other strange stuff happens such as available internal memory suddenly jumps to zero (that one only happened once). I feel like despite my best attempts to do clean installs, something's been accumulating and messing things up.
For reference, I have been using SuperWipe as of late, but while it does free up more internal space, it still does not help. My go-to ROM has been Gingerbread MIUI, which has been smooth and stable, but even with that ROM my phones have been crashing a lot lately and exhibiting various bad behavior. I've tried Gingerbread ROMs as well as 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, and 4.4 variants so far over time and have changed internal partition sizes accordingly.
What is the best course of action here? I'm thinking complete wipe and reinstall of everything from scratch. Does that mean I need to reflash HSPL and start from there? It's been a while since I've done that, so I'm trying to remember all the steps. Any general suggestions or ideas about what might be causing the increasingly aberrant behavior?

Hi Photoelectric,
I can only assume that you suffer from bad NAND blocks caused by too many flashings and/or bad a flash. Maybe this points you to a direction where you can check for yourself:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1189544
A tutorial how to check is included in the first post. If bad blocks are the cause of your problems I assume that setting up your ROMs as NativeSD circumvents your phones bad behaviour. @Robbie P, kuzibri, rirozizo am I right?
Kind regards

It could be bad blocks causing Photoelectric's problems, it would be good to find out where they are in nand and increasing the size of the partition they reside in.
if using clk see second post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2279582
if using mgldr, after switching off android, go to magldr menu/services/dmesg to sd and look at file dmesg.txt on sdcard. Somewhere in there there may be reference to bad blocks and what partition they are in, post dmesg.txt here if in doubt.
