My ok buton does not work!

My exec just came back from repair!
and found some problems
my ok button doesn't work at all...
i have to click on the x button on the display in order to close the app....
also my startup, ie, message and contact button doesn't correspond to what they been printed....
how can solve this problem?
they replace a new device for me...
is it the problem with the hardware?
like some kind of wiring ir circuit goes wrong?
or i can fix it by editing the registry?
any thoughts is apreciated!

Maybe it is configured under a different language?
What was your original ROM language (the language of your keyboard)

I was referring to a ROM with a diferent language. Not just a different vrsion of rom. Well, maybe that's what you did. SOrry it didn't work out for you.

when i installed wisbar lite, my OK button did not work and after removing it, it works alright now.

Reading the top line of the OP, I think the repair wasn't as successful as you would have hoped, sounds like a problem with the keyboard itself.

HTC tries to update its support for the freezing screen on Touch HD

I think they are trying to bring up a hotfix for the freezing problem that HD has shown to have, but the download part isn't working.
I will check it repeatedly.

Just installed it from the european server.

I downloaded for me from the EU server... testing now.

It's working now!

Many thanks to the OP for posting this - I've installed, and bar some interesting Engrish on the install screen, it does appear to have resolved the freezing issue!
This makes me happy.

Tested it and working
I have managed to download it after surfing the HTC website in Internet Explorer. I have tried previously in Google Chrome and Mozilla and the download have given me an error. But, it seems it's working through IE.
I hope its a good fix.

ps: can it be that this is the database update that shows up every time last week, and never succeed downloading?

I havent experience any trouble yet on my touch installing the hotfix

Just installed the hotfix and after 3 calls , it seems to work well

Does anyone know if this will work on the Touch Diamond too? My sister's phone has the same freezing problem.

I must be one of (or the) lucky one...have not experienced a freeze or other problems with my HD in the whole 3 weeks I've been a proud owner.

So you all have ROM version 1.19.xx.xx? Because HTC states that this patch is ONLY for those versions of the firmware.

htc touch elf aling screen loop (checked the Roll Up)

I follow each and everystep to the t. Somehow tho i cant set my aligment. I tried flashing other roms with same result. Was wondering if anyone know how to fix it? Also worst case scenario i have to reflash my backup. Is everything going to work fine?
i checked the Roll Up no info on my particular problem, and if there is please point it out.

no luck with msp, i read thats possible to edit the registry key remotely, i was wondering if someone could supply me with theirs, and i could jus pop in remotely and change it!

try the rom by Jerpelea... it skips the scree alignment... then you can figure out if its a screen issue or not

I think it's a low-memory issue Hard-reset your device and install ROM again, I hope it will fix it.
tell me when you've done that and tell me if it worked or didn't worked

HTC Touch Align Screen Looping
Hi,
Recently my phone hanged and did not come back, so I did hard reset, as part of the process it opened up "Align Screen", even after aligning 4 corners I keep getting the same "Align Screen" and never allows me to proceed to next step. Is my digitizer/touch gone ?

i tried android froyo x red on my hd ... it worked fine the first few days .. then suddenly freezed .. i had to remove the battery to restart the phone
now im back to my wm6.1 , the original one
but all my apps are not working and im not able to install anything ...
when i open an app it tells me that it's not registered with trusted certificate or some components are missing
and when i install an app, it jump to the end and tells me unsuccessful
pls help ...
i dont wanna format my phone, cuz all my contacts are not synced ... and i wanna use an app for that ... i have the app but it's not working ...

Fresh Start!

Hello,
After messing the devices whatsoever!
i want to do a fresh start, clean install !
i've downloaded the full rom last december...
Started back in fastboot and flashing, but the boot doesn't work...
i guess i'm missing something in the install... still some slots A and B etc etc
What would be the best way to make a fresh start ? should it be slot A or B ?
because for the moment, i cant restore my device

Flash the newest available firmware with MiFlash tool selecting "Clear all" in the bottom right corner.

Really bro? Do you know how to flash the ROM properly? If not you're being a complete a**hole as people will put their resource on that problem just because you don't follow the flash instructions properly. You're issue is really weird and shouldn't be occurring at all, maybe that's a hardware issue or some of the image files of the Stock ROM you download must be corrupt.

- So yes i know how to flash a rom...
Lately i've notice the android structure changed, talking about slots... Which i dont know very well...
- sorry being an asshole but I wanted to have an input on how to do a clear fresh start...
- concerning my issues... Confirm this is happening... On the October update i dont have any issue... And on December update touch screen is not working well, it work once after i shut down the screen and put it back on...
Unless you have anything constructive i suggest you dont loose anymore time to make stupid answer !

It should answer all of your questions and it includes the proper batch/ shell script files which automate the flashing for you straight away.
