I read some where having problems with that kernel and CMYLXGO's stock desire ROM for my hd2. Will keep looking. I'd like to keep this Rom. It's been treating me good so far. Hopefully I'll find some others.

Tiamat kernel w smartass governor
It was suggested somewhere in the general forum not too long ago that the newer Linux kernels are less battery efficient, at least with respect to the Evo, and I tend to agree.
With constant use I was able to only use 10% connected to Wifi but now it's nearly 20% use, again in a constant setting on Wifi.
You can try running an app like "watch dog lite" and seeing if an app is causing an issue.
You can do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=712990 which really works.

What in your opinion is the best for performance and battery life? What should I use for a daily driver?
