I read some where having problems with that kernel and CMYLXGO's stock desire ROM for my hd2. Will keep looking. I'd like to keep this Rom. It's been treating me good so far. Hopefully I'll find some others.

What is CM7?

Hey guys, newbie here.
I was browsing for themes and stuff like that and I saw some things that looked pretty cool, but it says CM7.
What is that? Is it a ROM version? Or radio or something? Would I be able to use it with any version?

All you have to do is flash another rom after wiping everything off this one. Easy way by using cwm magldr

Thanks for the reply, but i have a question. How do I wipe everything from this one? Is there a button for that?
Gah I feel so stupid with this phone. Ive been jailbreaking iPhones and ipods no problem, flashed HTC excallibur...but with this I'm clueless xD
EDIT: also, why does it say "sent from my Nexus One using XDA App" when i'm using an HTC HD2? is it because of my rom version?

It says that because you are using a custom rom based on the nexus one rom. Go under Android NAND Development and select which rom you prefer and there should be installayion instructions un the thread.

There's only a handful of rom's available for the aria. Just look around the development forum. We've got roms based on android 2.1-2.3.3.

Looking for a soulmate kernel

Actually just looking for a decent speed enhancement kernel.
I used to use faux's kernels but it doesn't seem as if he has one compatible with cm7.1...though I could be wrong.
Buy if that is the case, could someone tell me what a good alternative to his kernels are, and which have been built for cm7.1?
Thanks phone friends!

No idea if they are compatible with cm 7.1, but I would think it is. Try TheDerekJay's CM7/MIUI kernel. Its in the mytouch 4g Development forum.

Nope nothing good out there I hate sense so I'm stuck on pons cm7.2, "which I may add is the best smoothest rom I've run on the dinc". ( with incredikernel). Until ics improves

I am in exactly the same boat as you. Sometimes I wish I could find a Rom that has everything I want. 3.5 looks and functionality + cm7 battery life.
