Epix Movie Site

If you go to http://www.epixhd.com and use the "get an invite code" You will get a 7 day trial to the site. You can watch a lot of premium movies on the site. This is a new premium channel like HBO, Showtime, etc. When you sign up you will want to say you are a Charter customer and live in a Charter area. You can use zip code 29615. If you have charter as your cable provider you can get the movie channel for $10 a month and it will include a subscription to the site.
Does this sound like spam to anyone else? -_-

Of course not, the fellow just wanted to inform us of this nice new feature for the nexus one. However I can see how the total absence of anything Android related could confuse someone.
if this is a legit way to watch movies on my nexus then i personally would say its not spam...
Not a spam. I have used it to watch a Black Eyed Peas concert. I guess as a promotional offer, they are giving 7 days free.
Nothing to do with Nexus One or android though.
Here is a link to engadget on that:

No this is not directly related to android. But a site that benefits from android. Just learned about it at work and you can sign up using different email addresses to get more than one trial.I figured I would post this in general as it does not fit in any other section.
sigh, sadly i could register and all, but once i get to watch a movie, it won't let me since im not in the u.s.

Reported for what? A kick ass site that will play blockbuster movies on the nexus. Sorry you don't like watching movies on your phone. I work for a cable company and wanted to let you all know of the trial so the xda community can enjoy it too.

Attention!!! http://www.dinodirect.com are scammers..

There is a possibility that a member in xda "Semur" will try to contact you. Here is his -fake- facebook account: www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002462824795 .
Here is what he sent me

If you are interested in this, please feel free to let me know. thanks"
The store is: http://www.dinodirect.com and is the most terrible store on the internet....
I just informed you. They are scammers. You can see reviews of this store all over the internet! You can lose your money and they will never send you the product....
P.S: Their products are awefull...
P.S2: You can check some users reviews here.
Have a nice day,
Kyrillos
thank you for sharing this information...many members may benefit from this
Thanks kryillos, and I bet that the website wouldn't even give you a free device.
Shame. I would've so wanted that useful phone holder (which is a box where you can lay your phone) for 18 dollars
I once bought a thing from them via their ebay store and they delivered.
It was like 6 months back i guess. Dunno exactly.
Sad to hear they have turned scammers now.
well, i am also sad to hear this. But i did have many purchases from Dinodirect, and there were no problems on all my orders. Products are good and delivery is fast. Maybe they want to let more people know them here, so they want to find some members for marketing. But whether it is good or not, you can have a try for yourself.

Sent from my Hyperdroid HD2 using XDA App
Go to gameloft's website to buy them. We do not support piracy here, if you're looking for such, then move along.

Whilst I DO support helping others out, I DO NOT support piracy and very few people on this forum (called xdaDEVELOPERS - not xdaPIRATES) would appreciate it if we ended up with nothing but pages of requests for warez!
Thanks Kailkti for putting it nicely
Im reporting this thread in the hope it gets locked and deleted so we have more "room" for legitamate threads
Please don't request paid apps, I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say maybe you thought they were not paid apps since they weren't on the market. Thread closed.

What recourse do I have?

I have very little experience with the Android Market, and I have this situation I don't know how to resolve... let me explain:
I bought my NC 1.01 in January and when Froyo became available I downloaded and installed TV Shows Stream, it was a great app for allowing me to watch all kinds of TV show episodes on my Nook.
Apparently Google removed it from the market in May or June, thus making it so I cannot get the app (as far as I know anyway). I paid $7 for it in April and they took it off the market in June. The thing is, I was not aware of this and reverted to NC Stock 1.2 and when I went to download the app it was no longer available. Now I am left wondering how I either get a refund or the app (I prefer to have the app).
I have read that google removed it in preparation for some new service Google was soon to release. This doesn't sound right. What can I do?
Thanks
migrax
You didnt do a titanium backup did you? You could try searching around online to find the .apk and install from there or you could try to contact the developer.

It is still in the market, just no longer listed as compatible. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tproducts.android.searchtv
Contact the developer and see what they can do. Discussing how to find an .apk for a paid for app is probably frowned upon by the moderators of this forum.

I only suggested that because he said but it was removed from the market but i guess i should have done a search myself.
You should contact the dev and explain your situation.

Why would they care if I legitimately paid for the app? Anyway I do appreciate your input.

Only because these forums sometimes can become a hotbed for pirated apps. I did not mean to suggest that you have no right to an app you already paid for and koopakid08 didn't either. It's just that some may not be as scrupulous as you are.

How to get any phone for free :D

I know it seems impossible and that getting anything for free is usually fake or a scam but i have proof that Points2shop isn't. I got my HTC Sensation from Points2shop and there are lots of proof videos on Youtube. It's like a copycat of Swagbucks, but Points2shop is x100 better Swagbucks because you can reddem your points on the Amazon store. Everything you do on Points2shop will give you points that you can use to shop for anything (phones) you want. If you have an itching feeling to get that new phone, go try it out. If you dont like it, you can spend the points you have on screen protectors, cases, and headphones. Every product on Amazon.com is on there so there are lots of phones on there. Signing up is simple, getting points is simple, getting any phone-simple.
*I do not, in anyway, work for Points2shop.com. I wanted to share Points2shop with others because I believe that Points2shop can provide some users here with products to make better ROMs and Themes.
MOD EDIT: LINK REMOVED
Link to points2shop is there^
You may want to let ppl know your link is actually a referral...
