I saw some posts that Asus/Google are using a different screen in later models of the Nexus 7. Ive been searching for teardowns that show this but cant find it. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

I saw a video a week or two ago with someone using a Touch diamond and navigating through TF3D with a g sensor app. I can't remember where I saw the video or where I got the link. Has anyone seen it? I have no clue what it was called. All I remember was they went to the pics tab and demonstrated.

I see that a lot of people are making new topics about cracked backs or their earpiece is not working, or their back speaker is broken. In all these new topics someone asks if anyone knows where new parts can be purchased from and all the replies I see is that no one knows where to buy them from.

I had to harass these people to try and get parts for our phone lol. The glass back as some may know is almost impossible to find and can not even be purchased through LG. I'm just glad they were able to get them.

So I've seen that this issue has plagued many Galaxy S4 devices... Uh, why does this seem to pop up and seemingly indiscriminately?
I;ve seen there a user might be able to turn it off under 'Developer Options'. But no one has an explanation for it....
Before I rooted my phone. I never saw it. When I rooted it, I never saw it. I reset it several times and never saw this. Now, I reset it just yesterday and there it is. But no one knows whats happening...
There are threads about this in the S3 section. I used to have that phone and remember people talking about this, but it has been quite awhile and I don't remember what caused it.

Make sure yo don't have any options checked off for that in Developed option. Buddy of mine has a One S and I saw that on his. He had an option checked in DO that enabled red borders. I don't see if on my phone, but it worth to take a look

Dropped my phone the other day and the screen is unusable.
There are glass, but also touch screen.
I have picked apart the entire mobile now.
But I will not further how I can remove the glass or access the touch screen.
Come this far .. (haha sorry for all the dust)

what do you mean by Find 5 being impossible to buy at Oppo, I bought mine 2 weeks ago from oppostyle.com (webshop europe), it is even for sale (probably because the release of the Find 7 in the near future)

When i wrote, it was "out of stock", when i look nog "in stock"..
But i will try to get my find 5 to work, then i maby buy Find 7 or the Oneplus +..

I changed the display in Bangkok headquarter. Really hard to find and expensive. Cost 4000 THB which is around 130 dollar.
Really hard to find the headquarter but otherwise it will need up to 2 weeks to change it.
Also tried some mobile stores but no luck with that, found only one guy who was able to do it but also wanted the same price.
Btw now my earphone plug isn't working anymore :/
So im gonna attach my question here.
My Find5 Screen is shattered, but the content is displayed all right. So i just need a new digitizer like that, or am i wrong?

I have changed my display twice using this guide.
@ BL4CK_92: I would get a complete screen with both a touchscreen and a digitizer since it is almost impossible to separate the two without breaking them.
You can find it quite cheap on ebay now.

Just make a search on youtube for "oppo find 5 screen replacement" and you will find it. The guide is made by a guy named Omar Ali.
It worked well for me.
Hi there, I have a question that maube you guys can help me to solve.
Ive got galaxy note3 version sm-n900 and ive broke my screen. Now I want to order a new screen and i see that the screen of my model
Is more expensive then other versions such as n9005 or n900v and so. So my question is if i can put a screen of a diffrent model be ause basiclly they are preety much the same screen will it fit? For example if I order a screen with frame of n900v will it fit and work with my n900? Or theres a diffrence? Thanks a lot for the help

I don't know if the displays are the same or not, so you'll have to do some research to try to determine that. Try to find the specific part numbers, if you can, of the different models and see if they match. Even if they look the same, have the same connectors, and whatnot, but are different part numbers, they usually won't work....
Anyone knows?

Please don't act on my information, research it first.
The url in the 2nd attachment is where I got the clipping of the text in the 1st attachment where they have taken both the SM-900 and the SM-9005 and seem to believe that both screens and digitizers are cross compatible.

I know for a FACT the screens are exactly the same size but as you say that does not mean the digitizer connections and ribbons may be slightly different on different regional Note 3's.

Do you want to replace the screen with frame? If so, you'll need to do some researches, as most of the screen comes with frame are not fit with each other. However, if you just want to replace the lcd and touchscreen without frame, then yes, they can fit and work.
