Hello!
Dropped my phone the other day and the screen is unusable.
There are glass, but also touch screen.
I have picked apart the entire mobile now.
But I will not further how I can remove the glass or access the touch screen.
Come this far .. (haha sorry for all the dust)

Tried googling it .. but found nothing that helped, anyone know?
Find 5's impossible to buy at oppo anymore: (
Grateful for answers.
Wow, that looks like an almost impossible task
what do you mean by Find 5 being impossible to buy at Oppo, I bought mine 2 weeks ago from oppostyle.com (webshop europe), it is even for sale (probably because the release of the Find 7 in the near future)
maybe this thread at oppoforums can be of some assistance ?:

When i wrote, it was "out of stock", when i look nog "in stock"..
But i will try to get my find 5 to work, then i maby buy Find 7 or the Oneplus +..
my thread in oppo forum. http://www.oppoforums.com/threads/screen-replecement.8538/
I changed the display in Bangkok headquarter. Really hard to find and expensive. Cost 4000 THB which is around 130 dollar.
Really hard to find the headquarter but otherwise it will need up to 2 weeks to change it.
Also tried some mobile stores but no luck with that, found only one guy who was able to do it but also wanted the same price.
Btw now my earphone plug isn't working anymore :/
So im gonna attach my question here.
My Find5 Screen is shattered, but the content is displayed all right. So i just need a new digitizer like that, or am i wrong?
Hey guys.
I have changed my display twice using this guide.
@ BL4CK_92: I would get a complete screen with both a touchscreen and a digitizer since it is almost impossible to separate the two without breaking them.
You can find it quite cheap on ebay now.
edit.
I can't post links yet it seems.
Just make a search on youtube for "oppo find 5 screen replacement" and you will find it. The guide is made by a guy named Omar Ali.
It worked well for me.

Hi. My special needs son used a set of keys as a stylus and has made a couple of holes in the screen. I am in the UK and can buy a new screen for £65 on eBay but can find no instructions for fitting it. The firm will fit it for me but this cost an extra £25.
Anyone help me out please with some information?
Thanks,
Doug
Can get a replacement if I knew how to fit it! Anyone know please?

It's amazing what you can find if you use the SEARCH function instead of bumping your own post the same day....if you were that desperate for it try searching yourself next time?....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=43836
In fact, my friend, I used the search function before I did anything and it came up with about a thousand hits of which the first hundred were no good!
I am quite desperate for this information, hense the bump before it went off the page. Keep smiling.....
Doug
Learn to use the search engine? It came up straight away if you use the 'all words' function....and I attached the link for you but you obviously haven't realised as 'you are' desperate for the info not 'you were'...
Oh well. I'd just pay the £25....
Thanks for the link anyway. I have downloaded it but it looks so complicated, I will pay someone to do it anyway.
Sorry to be a bit sarky, the link was appreciated.

Another reason to get the screen vendor to fit the screen is that there are 2 possible screens for the wizard - unless you have opened the phone before purchase you will not know which, so if they post you 'a' wizard screen you may get the wrong one and I doubt they'll take it back. If you send them your device it's their problem if it's the wrong one, just watch they don't blame your board for being faulty and try and charge you anyway.
Some vendors sell magician screens saying they fit wizards and this is true in some cases but not all. The 'wrong' screen will display strange colours and look washed out or not display anything.
From experience, most ebay screen vendors etc don't actually know this.
For the total price ( £90) why not try HTCEuropes's service dept if you have a t-mobile vario? They don't touch o2 devices and may be slightly more than £90 but they will fit the correct screen and your warranty will not be invalidated.
Yes, it's true. My precious was run over by a car last night. I left it on the roof of my car
It was pretty well destroyed but the battery, SIM, mem card and stylus are all still ok. The stylus and mem card were still in it after being run over twice! HAH.
Spilt milk - new phone time. I can't justify getting a black one because of the ongoing coating issue. They are still shipping junk. HTC recently replaced my bezel and the new one peeled within 2 weeks. Question: white Trinity or alternative? Can anyone suggest a better device? I don't need GPS, BT or Wifi. HSDPA is a must and I won't buy Eten.
Any info would be great to get me started on my search. Also, I am in Chicago for business but I have a couple of afternoons to kill. Does anyone stock phones there?
Get the white one!
It's still the best PDA-phone around (if no H/W keyboard needed)
Anyone have any stories where their trinity beats the car? Heard of a legend once of an unbreakable pre-production trinity where the dude ran it over and it still worked flawlessly. Anyway sorry to hear about your trinity guess it isn't the chosen one.

Why your'e not in the Paris Hilton blog instead of a savvy, polite and technically interesting forum as this one?
Never mind, I already know the answer... no signature, no references... closed thread.

Oh was that a shot at me being stupid? I was being polite until you came along and left your little comment.
I didn't know I needed a signature and references to post on forums or otherwise be creditable. *roll eyes*
Anyway Baxter, it's really a shame to hear about your phone. When you get back home you've got to take pictures and post them if you still have the phone and have not thrown it away yet. (Yes Looking Glass, that's what the picture was implying, to post pictures. Stop being such a negitive Nancy, a man just ran over his 500 dollar phone.)
Don't know about the trinity but I ran over my mio A701 (fell out of my pocket outside mates house and I didn't realize). Smashed the screen and put a few kinks in the casing but it still rang ( mates neighbour picked it up after I'd been ringing it for 10 mins or so). Replaced lcd and its working fine but will be changing to a trinity or a eten x800 end of July when contract expires.

Nice choice.
I'm using my Torq P120 (Eten M600) for now. Maybe they have improved the build quality but their customer service is non-existent. I posted my experience on Eten Users forum last year. People are contacting me to figure out how I was able to get service from them. Evidently just getting a response is difficult now.
I think it's time for a white Trinity. Anyone know what ROM is shipping now? When they service my black one, they shipped it back with the original ROM. Is there a particular brand to look for in the US? My last one was HTC branded.
Heh. Had some time to revive my trinity. It works! Well, a little. It booted and I was able to sync & browse via PC. I couldn't get the phone to work. Atleast I can get all of my data & backup one last time.
Screen is toast
Camera glass is broken
Phone doesn't work
Probably not worth the repair even though it would make a good backup device.
Finally remembered...

It makes a nice charger for my backup battery!!
Ok, so, today is THAT day.
You had to wait 15 business days or more (fuc***g damn slow SE repair service!), but tonight you camped in front of your SE dealer to get back your X1 as soon as possible.
But, since you have read xda (every day, with a page refresh every 3 minutes, because you love xda ), you know that some X1 are not really new or repaired, but SE had that great idea of giving you a refurbished one (please, read Mein Kampf if you have Vodafone and leave every hope to get a new X1 ).
So,what do you have to check on your repaired X1 to be sure that it has really been repaired:
1 - no more cracks (that may sound stupid, but... it's definitively not!)
2 - tricolour screen shows original HardSPL (so, it doesn't show "Olinex")
3 - There is no cooked ROM
4 - Touchscreen and buttons works
Any other ideas?
I'll get my X1 back in 10 days, but hope this will help other people avoiding them other costs and surprises!

True .
Check for scratches on the battery cover. Especially near the USB port. Check the camera for scratches as well. It sounds obvious, but many people don't do it!
Nice idea btw.
when u get the phone back from sony repair centre they always wipe it clean (like when u get a new phone).
i was lucky to get a new handset replacement but now there is a crack on this one too. i hope they give me another new one as i dont want a battered one that someone else has sent back (or my one back as it has been treated well)
I waited 15 days i got my phone worse than before i sent to service. There was no crack on my phone but after repair i got 3 different cracks and they changed my navigation pad and button. And they were not working correctly as well.I called se south africa they apologised and they said please re-book for repair and i did.I am waiting new results.I hope i am gonna gel my phone 1 piece.Lol.Lets hope.Cheers.
15 days and a cracked phone... what the hell, why X1 support sucks in that way? and, it's not SE, since I never heard someone complaining on other SE model support.
Will let you know as far as I get my X1 back... witha 3,5% probability that it will be *really* repaired (really sad about this point...)
Hi everyone!
I got some questions but first off I'll go ahead and give the background story of everything.
I bought my HD2 about 2 years ago, now when it finally got payed of (20/01 -12) of course I dropped it for the first time ever and the lcd screen totaly 'died'. I have always loved this phone, but to send it to an repair-store is not an option as it costs 1789 SEK (Swedish 'krona') -is something like 269,03 USD. Not much maybe but for an 2 years old phone, thats too much. /Money I rather spend on a new phone..
Tomorrow I will most likely go and buy the Galaxy Nexus, but still think the HD2 is worth saving, what im thinking of is to order an LCD and try it myself. If I make it worse well, then It wont matter.
My questions:
* After searching for LCD's they say "..for model T8585"
- I guess all HD2 (exept T-mobile maybe?) has this model-nr..? On my box anyway its say T8585.
* Some stores that also say "for model T8585" also say "only US"
- Well, I guess they dont mean "only shipping in US" as its the same store/site that sells other not saying "only US". Is this model-restrictions and how will I know the screens will 'fit' my Leo?
* Is there anything else I should look for exept the model number (T8585) to be certain that it will work/fit ?
Also I will attach a picture of how the screen looks like turned on so you maybe can tell me if I need to replace more than the LCD (Digitalizer/touch screen)
I saw another, old, topic about this but the picture was gone and I guess he could see and then thereby use his cellphone to test if the touch-screen/digitalizer worked wich I cannot.
Might be hard to tell, I dunno..
-If anybody know an reliable store/site that ships to Sweden that sells screens or right screen you would make my day if you could provide me with link.
-Also if they dont/or if you dont know -ship to Sweden; please provide link.
Another question that doesnt have anything with this topic (other than I would have needed this 3 weeks ago ) if there is somewhere to find an Otterbox case for HD2? I know they dont support Leo no longer but I will purchase it for the Galaxy Nexus also so would be nice if it could be found for HD2 also.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: And yes, I have searched the forum. All I find is dead links, non-helpful etc etc.
Oh thats not so good
I dropped mine a while back and cracked the screen big time. Decided id repolace the digitizer but it was only when i got it all apart that i found i needed more expert knowledge than i possess to put it back together. Which all meant another £50 to buy a digitiser/lcd combo. Theres plenty on ebay, such as http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110758732279?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
You could always ask the question about whether this is the right model for you. They should be able to help.
Its a bit of a faff to fit the new screen, but if your in the middle of a contract and cant do an early upgrade it is possibly an option. Or just get another one if you can upgrade....

You should buy whole combo(LCD+touchscreen) in order to do a fine job(it will be much easier for you this way, with good quality in the end). Doing like this it doesn't matter what version/type would be (US or whatever), 'cause they are interchangeable: some rumours indicate US version to be better by quality.
Ebay could be a source for you...
Good luck!

Thanks alot bib*oops, that was of great help!
I was actually thinking of buying a combo, lcd&touchscreen, as Im not 100% sure that my touchscreen still works as it should.
-Didnt know the rest (about the screens) so thanks, oh hundreds of thanks to you!
How can one choose combo assembly?
There is one for T-Mobile HD2 and one for European HD2.
This one says that its for T8585
http://www.ebay.com/itm/120745779165?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Is T8585 only european? Or are they both(T-Mobile and European) marked as T8585?
Is this one compatible with european?

Yea I had the same question but then saw something somewhere saying that T-Mobiles version of HD2 is slightly larger (longer or wider -dont know exactly wich -or both) and therefore I will go for one that is stated for EU-model and would suggest you to do the same, depending on what type of HD2 you've got.
Welcome,
Some time ago, glass on my screen crashed during drop phone on the street, touch panel still works, but anyway it does not look preety good, now my question is how much is the cost of new screen, and it is possible to replace it by myself?
It costs around 50$ depending on where you get it.I suggest you look for a seller in aliexpress with many diamonds or crowns or whatever. And here is a video on how to replace it. If you got 2 left hands and sausage fingers don`t try to do it yourself
Thanks mate for this reply, as i see it looks pretty simple to do, but when ill buy it i will also get some tools with it? I really dont want to do it by myself, but here in Poland we dont have even one Gionee service, and "other" services dont want to replace it, becouse they dont have parts and dont know "technology" of this device, well just a bit wierd, anyway i just have to do it by myself.
Thanks
No idea if it comes with the tools havent bought one myself i was just checking the prices as i broke mine too.
Okey, but if you can wrote with what tools did u removed old screen, and did you done it by yourself?
