Kindle fire "how to" videos (root, twrp, flash a Rom)

Ive searched everywhere and tried to find videos on how to
1. Root
2. Flash cm7
3. Install and use twrp
I was hoping we could start a thread that has videos or links to videos that would best help people unleashing the full capabilities of the KF.
I admit I am a noob when it comes to this stuff and when I see lines of script its like trying to read Spanish but if I had a good video to watch, it would be a piece of cake. At least it was a piece of cake when I watched videos on how to root and flash my samsung captivate.

I would agree this would be very helpful to stray from all of the confusion. I do believe that everyone seems to be okay rooting with burrito root, but unfortunately there is nothing that states the order one must go in to get twrp, and cm7 installed as well. If I am not mistaken it doesnt matter if you are rooted or not you can install twrp, and cm7.... I think that the real issue seems to be the boot loop that everyone is getting stuck in when trying to install twrp & firefirefire, that is causing all of the confusion...!
I had 6.21 rooted w/CM7 . But a simple reboot left me w/dark screen. I restored the stock.
Maybe we need only to search them on YouTube and then create a post here

I found this video on Youtube.

would this be a good guide to follow. Just wanted to share and get other thoughts. Thanks Nat3mil for video and jcase for the root.
More videos would be great on how to install the twrp, KFU .9 ect....
Here is another video that was just uploaded yesterday. It seems pretty well done too.

I was hoping I could get feed back from everyone and maybe start a thread that has links to the best videos with the best descriptions to help everyone who is unsure of, or who is new to rooting, flashing, ect..
Like I said, i am new too all of this as well, so the guys who actually know what they are doing when it comes to rooting, I would appreciate your response and let us know what videos you recommend.
Thanks everyone and I hope this helps.

Lets pick the best videos and post in a new thread that's easy for everyone to get. I think if people actually see, step by step, how it is being done it should answer a lot of questions.
Let me know if these videos are any good or not so we know which ones to take off and which ones to leave on to help the members.
Any luck finding new videos?

Will this allow for dual boot? Or does this remove the original software?

Question about returning Kindle to stock (Completely)

So, I have a Kindle Fire running CM7 with TWRP and firefirefire. I noticed a dead pixel on my screen, and since I'm still within my return period, I'd like to just restore my Kindle to stock so I can return it. I feel like I could flash Amazon's 6.2.1 update in recovery since it appears to have all the necessary files in it, but I'd like confirmation before I try. Thanks in advance.
Search. There are already topics on this.

Does TWRP 2.0 work with 6.2.2?

I'm reading conflicting things on the forums. Also, does the latest kindle fire utility work with 6.2.2? Thanks in advance.

I have TWRP myself, but I did not use Kindle Fire Utility to install it.
Out of curiosity, how did you install it?
try installing twrp with kfu 0.9.1
I had problems with latest version 0.9.3.
I used Kfu v0.9.1 and everything went fine, try it, it's really easy to use.
KFU is super easy to use and very straight-forward. I was rooting and installing a custom Rom in no time.
The new KFU (0.9.3) worked well with rooting 2 of my 6.2.2's and installing TWRP from within. Now I have to see if the KFU can get one of them out of a stuck kf logo

kindle fire hdx 7 tablet dead after root ??

hello my friends in xda-developers ...
i have kindle fire hdx 7 tablet ((look pictuer)) i try the root for kindle fire 8.9 error
after that my kindle fire hdx 7 tablet dead ...!
anyone have how to repair the problem .?? thanks .
Re:
I might be able to answer the following
I thought that the old method was so incompatible that it would fail epically without leaving any problems? Well if it has adb access you might get lucky, I'd ask around in the hdx section, the hdx has its own sub-forum, they might be able to help, try perusing one of the initial root attempts threads from before a definite root method was made, might find someone that did something similar.

You should be asking that question yourself, can you do it? The answer is, out ofy knowledge, yes. I would suggest, the easiest way I know. VulirtualBox, install windows on it and then root it from there. Also, which version of android do you have on your kindle? If it is 13.3.2.2 then there is no written exploit at this time, but if you have 13.3.1 then you are in luck! Go ahead and read the earlier posts on this section of this forum.
Yes, look at the how to root Kindle Fire ND with Mac/Linux thread in the 7" Kindle Fire HD (not HDX) General thread to get started with setting up your Mac for rooting. The download in that thread will not work for the box but the procedure will. It may seem complicated but it's worth working through. Also see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917237 for a how to on setting up ABD on a Mac.
As stated above a root exploit currently exists only for the earlier version of Fire OS though it appears that progress is being made on the current version for the 7" HDX.
