The youtube app on ipad doesn't, sadly.
A tiny bump
Yes, it does have playlist support, although I haven't tried to use it myself.

Thank you! Which means I could still watch news at breakfast when I'm in different time zone without having to worry about spills on my laptop.:good:

Short answer: it's in the works. There are some alpha/beta players that can play it, but my advice - wait up, it's coming.
thanks, i'll keep my eyes out...
really it will be when i pick up the EVO come summer....
wanna push my downloads from my phone to my TV...
I havent had any luck with lots of research been converting with dvdfab and handbrake
Yxflash from the market plays them... its not the greatest and framerate kinda sucks... but it does the job..

meh I just convert anything to mp4 and it plays beautifully on N1.
Convert to mp4 with handbrake, upload to server, watch when I want where I want! This thing is awesome.
Convertings for chumps.
yxflash plays them. It'll even play flv's

Do you like the app? It doesn't have good ratings.
Can someone please point me in the right direction for a really good video converter. The only movie that takes up the whole screen on my Tab is Transformers 2...
sent from Gen's Galaxy Tab
bud, you dont need a converter - you need a better player
look for vplayer alpha on the market, its my fav but theres a slew of others that both play everything and allow you to change fullscreen/ ar settings - only thing to watch out for is the 4gb limit of file size
I use Adobe Media Encoder to encode to h.264 1024x576 with stereo AAC and use the ipod mux settings
Occasionally I use Nero which seems to use all 8 threads of my i7
WinFF and Handbrake should work.
For player, have you tried RockPlayer?
Thanks you guys...Rockplayer works perfect...I use that and Meridian. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

I find Rockplayer is hopeless at playing .mkv files. They jerk, pixelate and the sound is out of sync. Even the default Video Player is better.
Thanks for the info on vplayer ftgg99, I'll give it a try.
i use handbrake and the default video app. it has an option of filling up the whole screen.

Cheers... I'm busy trying it out and before I received your reply I set it to convert a large .mkv but I didn't use any presets.... So far it's taken 18mins and is only 32% done.
I'll let it finish and try it again using the preset you mention.
Thanks again.

Well I'm converting the video on a high powered Laptop with an i7-950 3.06Ghz processor, 8GB RAM and 2x640GB Hard Drives so speed should not be the bottleneck.

Ok so I tried to do a little research and couldn't come up with much... I think our phones support dlna I'm just curious how to use it and what exactly we can use it for, sorry, I'm kinda noobish on this topic... Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...thank you in advance

It would be used to stream media content (videos, pictures, audio) to DLNA compatible home theater things. Such as displaying videos from your phone on your tv. No idea how it works, or if it even works for us currently.
The stock allshare app is a dlna app, I believe.

iMediaShare is an alternative app on the Market... works really well, if not better than AllShare. Both work "automatically" with Samsung wifi TV's which also is pretty cool You just click the available device and the app does the rest.
def
Adobe flash 10.2 is now available in the market.

Installed it fine and tested it, seems faster.
I have not tried to reboot.
I love the fact that I'm on my hdmi tv watching videos on gamespot from my phone

Wow I updated and it made a HUGE difference.
Just yesterday I was trying to watch the NCAA tournament at ncaa.com in the browser, and it was unwatchable. Way too choppy, it was bad. Today, same connection, same site.... and it works! It's still choppy at time, but at least it's watchable!
Thanks, Adobe! You're the best!

This is rather alarming... can't even get into recovery?
So far i have tried rockplayer and moboplayer....rockplayer had a lot of FC's because I don't think it was compatible, plus the video playback kinda sucked
I recently tried Moboplayer and it works great...even saves where you left of on multiple videos
is there anything better? Thank you
i swear by rock player, not an issue yet. Maybe try reinstalling? Other than that, what does it need to be able to play?
Yeah WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 12 / VLC MEDIA PLAYER.......

it doesn't seem to be optimized for HC...keeps FC'ing on me
Moboplayer seems to have a lot more downloads, hence popularity
I mainly use rockplayer and the stock one......
Both are made by the same dev of believe. Mobo is much better than rock however. Be sure and have the latest codec pack installed.

I used to use rock player too....give moboplayer a try and I bet you won't go back
Mobo player doesn't dim (and by dim I mean turn them into small dots) the os buttons and time at the bottom, this is the sole reason I am considering uninstalling it, but I haven't found one to beat it yet.
Does it "dim" for anyone else?

I like the way control volume, brightness on moboplayer.
Feature-wise Moboplayer still has a lot of room for improvement. But in terms of codec support and performance (some stuff that wasn't smooth on other players played smooth as silk on Moboplayer), MoboPlayer is my favorite.

yea same here...its very neat
Mobo doesn't play very smoothly in software mode for 720p content... Unfortunately the Xoom doesn't playback enough formats natively so software mode is a necessity...
I swear by MoboPlayer as well, though sometimes I drop back to RockPlayer Lite just to see how it handles things. Love how Mobo remembers where you've left off regardless of how many movies/videos you've watched in between.
On the other side of the spectrum is mVideoPlayer, it has an awesome interface but only supports stock Xoom codecs. They recently updated to support sub/idx support for subs, but that whole stock codec only support kind of ruins it for me. I use this for any YouTube videos pulled w/ TubeMate.
I tested QQPlayer as well, it's not too bad but I was really searching for subtitle support so I could enjoy foreign flicks on the road. It didn't really offer much aside from srt support, but I figure I'll keep it in the hopes it'll see more development in terms of sub support (I believe it's developed in China or Korea, so sub support would have a higher priority).
any players allow you to make playlists? I like to fall asleep with a few episodes of stuff in the background
FWIW -- QQPlayer plays everything that I need it to play....
Vital Player is the best player on honeycomb I love you can turn the volume just using the screen.Same goes for brightness & full and widescreen.Vital Player updates regularly.
