Installed this and then my phone wouldnt boot

Installed it fine and tested it, seems faster.
I have not tried to reboot.

I love the fact that I'm on my hdmi tv watching videos on gamespot from my phone
Sent from my spaceship!

Saw it before I saw this thread.

Wow I updated and it made a HUGE difference.
Just yesterday I was trying to watch the NCAA tournament at ncaa.com in the browser, and it was unwatchable. Way too choppy, it was bad. Today, same connection, same site.... and it works! It's still choppy at time, but at least it's watchable!
Thanks, Adobe! You're the best!

Who can load Versus.com videos?

I want to watch the TDF on my EVO, but even with the flash 10.1 hack installed onto Damage Control I get no video .
Anyone else get this working?
I just tried it on my stock evo.it lagged at first, then it caught up and played fine.make sure your on a fast network.there is a ton of flash material flying around on this web page that slows down the load time.
Loaded page in about 10 seconds over wifi, played a video and it ran smooth enough.
Not 10.1 by any means, but what is generally expected from flash lite
Luckily we get froyo this month, then it should work flawlessly.
Or else I will rage at adobe.
What!?!?! Everyone but me huh =)
I'll try again at work, I really hope it works. I will go back to stock if needed.

I was watching the stage 3 preview with no problem

Flash? Why isn't anyone complaining.

I just got froyo and a special flash apk that fixes the hulu.com mess. I can't deal with the choppiness that the new android flash has. Does anyone else have this problem? Its not even worth watching videos if the flash player constantly stops to buffer. I tried finding fixes for this but I don't see anyone trying to figure this out. Is this adobe's problem?
I used it to watch adult swim and it didnt stop once and was very crisp. This was over 3g also.

I hardly use hulu, but tried it just to see how the flash works. I'm an avid Twilight Zone fan, and searched and watched some episodes. Running off of wifi (since I have horrid service at my house), the video was highly watchable, when fast action was on the screen it stuttered a little bit, but never stop / froze / became unwatchable. Love it. ♥
Isn't the flash plugin still in beta right now?

I'm using sky raider 1.9, nothing about beta, and I didn't have to download flash from the marketplace like some people had to with the Cyanogen mod.
Was going to say it might just be the built-in flash plugin for sense, but I checked the market place and didn't see it there, but saw "Adobe Flash Player 10.1" in my applications under "All". No beta tag there ;D

I have the same build.
Flash is in beta right now. Beta 4, if memory serves.
When I am watching hulu.com it says a warning at the top before it plays " This video is not optimized for mobile viewing" I have 4 bars of service and it still struggles with a small 2 min video.
EDIT*I did download a week ago an apk that tweaked the flash player so that it would work with hulu.com
Kinda hard to complain running an unsanctioned version of the OS and a beta Flash player.
Give it 6 months, and then you'll have ample opportunity to complain.
In order to watch flash videos at hulu.com do you have to update the flash.apk with the tweaked version?
Where can i get the yweaked ver

I am not sure if it is flash we are having problems with. Maybe its the cache? It seems that the like 20 secs into a flash video it starts to get choppy. Maybe its the cache getting full. I have noticed when I run a different browser the flash player plays differently. I think the skyfire browser was the best so far at playing flash.

Leaked Flash 10.2 update

Thanks, it's pretty good and better than the 10.1.
Installs fine.
How do you test Flash? (what websites?)
I tested Youtube in 360p and a video on stern.de (I don't know the resolution). But I will test more videos.
Giant plus one on this! I used the flash that is over in the zoom forum and it works great! I've tried every different iteration / hack out there and have never had usabel flash, 10.2 FTW!

Finally theres an really good flash release for our gen8 devices.

Thanks for tellin us this !

6 replies and only 2 thanks? Hmm...
lol j/k
I tested it as well and youtube was very watchable in HD. It was the mobile site, but I assume the same would be the case for the full site. I did have a problem with Dolphin HD freezing, but I think that was the browser itself, not having anything to do with Flash.
Has anyone tried this w an A43?
Jim
THANKS a lot !!
Just installed it, my browser crashes each time I try to view a flash video...
Edit: Just rebooted the 101, it seems to be much better
It's not installing for me, the whole tablet freezes... tried 3 times and had to keep the power button pressed for it to come back to life. Did you guys uninstall 10.1 first? I have a 101 on the latest fw release.
i have had installed flash 10.1 first and then 10.2 from here thanx again for that post

Ok... tried again and it installed the fourth time, but whilst the video is smoother than with 10.1, the audio is out of sync
Any advice?

What browser are you using? I found that with the heavier browser like Dolphin HD, it was giving me problems. I tried Opera browser and didn't have much problems playing flash vids.
Thanks for this,
I have tested this on the app 'Tv Shows' and and the BBC iPlayer app, it seems much better than 10.1 so far and hasnt crashed of had any audio/video sync issues.
Awesome sauce! Works like a dream on my 101!

A70S?
I've installed it on my A70, and it doesn't seem to work. Is it not supposed to on the A70? What sites beside youtube can anyone suggest? I'm always redirected to the m.youtube site.

Flash Player 10.3 is now ready't'go!

Make sure you update - though it might updated automatically. (it did for me)

I'm at work right and can't bust out my tablet ATM. Hows it like? 720p work on youtube now?

Go to the bathroom to download, but instead download Flash 10.3 to your tab. You never took a 15 minute nap on the crapper?

I hear that. I went so far as to speak to the store manager at Best Buy here to ask if he could "special order" a Transformer for me. The distribution channel software they use doesn't even have the SKU in it yet. It's on their website, but not in their distro system. I was a sad panda.

I don't think the update would just fix all of our performance issues, but at least provide better compatibility. I think our future honeycomb updates (look at me being optimistic) will help with the chop.
Ya 720 looks about the same to me. Smooth but sometimes can stutter when there's a lot of variance in the shot.

This. I think they'll need to tap into the nvidia hardware more to enable better video performance. It's interesting to note that they added NEON support for CPUs that support it(ours doesn't afaik). How much those instructions will help I don't know.
Something to look forward to in flash 11.1 I'm sure...

No, I mean nvidia will have to work with the manufacturers to include better optimized kernel/user code for the tegra to take advantage of the dual core and the graphics hardware better. Hopefully nvidia has 3.1 as well and is adding their pieces to the pie as we speak.
a big drop in performance with flash 10.3
I
don't know if anyone sees the same, but for me, adobe flash 10.3 is a lot worse than 10.2.
I am in germany and looked videos on www.golem.de. With 10.2 there have been nearly smooth. Now with 10.3 they become a picture view, no longer video.
(Yes I compared the same videos, coding can't be different.)
I think they broke the nvidea integration and HC was not the focus of this update, but 10.2 was.
My recomandation:
So if you didn't update so far, don't do it!!!!

I have tried the site you mentioned...... no problems with 10.3! Maybe clear cache/data from your browser.
Installed successfully
You Tube and BBC iPlayer working beautifully with the updated Flash
Retested Flash 10.3; still not better
Hi again,
thanks for the tipps, tried them all.
I think it depends on the video itself.
For some odd reason, the videos in germany tends to be coded in a way, the new Flash 10.3 didn't like.
I mentioned before, all videos on Golem.de are worse, but also on spiegel.de.
I noticed a message box, saying, "This video is not optimized for mobile devices".
Never seen such a message in 10.2. Also on my HTC desire, the videos are worse, and see exactly the same behaviour.
I still see no advantages from 10.2 to 10.3. In 10.2 I never had such messages, and the videos where smooth as well. Now on a few webpages the videos are OK, but most are picture shows.
Is there anybody else how could confirm this? Can't belive I am the only one, seeing this performance drop on two different devices, and nobody else seeing this.
I read that flash10.3 is better with HC 3.1. So you see better performance?

Flash 10.3 optimized for Android3.1
So far, Acer Iconia has only 3.0.1 HC installed, hopefully in June/Juli there would be an update.
I didn't see such an statement, do you have any reference?
Is there something in Xoom forums?

NOTE: Please check with your device manufacturer or carrier to ensure you have the latest firmware update for your device. For Android 3 tablet devices, we highly recommend that you update your OS to Android 3.1 to ensure that Flash Player delivers the best experience possible.
Come on Acer !!!

This is nothing new, where did you see it would be supported. A tablet does not have the power to run embedded games in facebook. Hell, my netbook would choke on them so bad I stopped trying.

Sorry but this is incorrect. Facebook games do work. Which ones do work is probably hit and miss but I tested a couple earlier using opera 12 on stock ics. Games all loaded correctly and I even played one for a few minutes.
Cheers
Edit: I just checked another game. Bubblewitch saga worked OK after I finally managed to click the button with my enormous fingers haha.
