Hi
Last night my defy(green lens) battery drained completely and turned off. After I plugged in charger for ten minutes the big battery symbol indicated 18% battery level then I turned on my defy....wow the status bar now showing 54% charge.....how could it charge more than 30%in less than 1 minute.
Then I rebooted and wiped battery stats but still its no use. Its showing charge increasing from 55%..
I think that this ROM cm10 by Quarx not getting full charge....I mean how could that happen 0-55 in less than 15 minutes..??? This is like a sports bike/car.
Is there any battery fix for this issue???

OK guys,
I let the battery on my phone purposely drain completely until the phone shut off on its own. The battery status was at 3% before I let it drain, then I would imagine it went to obviously 0%. So, I took the battery out for about five minutes to cool off, I put everything back, and plugged the phone to a USB port to charge. To my surprise the battery level displayed at 67%. I think something is not correct here. Charging the phone with a micro usb cable from 0% to 67% in a few seconds is not possible. What is that, supersonic charge?
Can someone please explain what is going on here? Could it be the ROM? Is someone having the same issues?
Thanks,
Jose

The battery may not be calibrated correctly. You can download the Battery Calibration app off the market for free. Charge your phone to 100%, open the app, click the calibrate button, then unplug from the charger. After that let your battery drain completely until your phone shuts off then charge without a break back up to 100%, and you're battery should be accurate.

I'll check that. Thanks for the info.
Mine does that all the time, no matter how many times i've calibrated the battery.
Agreed. I have calibrated my battery several times and when I hook my Vibrant to charge, after a few minutes it reads 65% or something of the sort when it was at 10% earlier
Hello. I have 2 battery's for my defy+. They are both the same mah. My problem is that if I charge one battery to 100% then change to the other battery and charge that to 100% when I then put my first battery in it will only charge to 84 %. I have tried battery calibration and wipeing battery stats.. I'm running white rabbit 1.3 atm..
Hope that someone can understand what I mean

the 84% charging bug is because of the software inside your phone, not the battery
most custom ROMs for the defy+ charge only upto 84%( except CM7 with a patch made by AL). The rest don't charge upto 100%.. Go for MSGinger or Stock ROM
Hello,
I have a moto Defy with Wiui GB stable on it. I recently got Mugan 1700mha battery.
The problem I face is that there are big drops in battery levels. The drops happen a lot of time and is pissing me off. Any help I can get to fix it?
Have you tried completely draining the battery, then charging it to 100% and leave it charging after 100% for an hour more and then using a battery calibration app?

Looks like my battery on my N7 may be dead already. Seems like 3 times now when it has gotten down to 10% and is on standby for awhile it completely powers down. When i connected the charger the first few times it booted back up and still displayed 10%. Today when i came home it wouldnt boot. I held it down for a minute with no boot. It wasnt until i left it on the charger for a few minutes that it displayed charging. When i booted it, it showed 0% which i thought was odd since it was at 17% last night and hasnt been used since. It displayed a grey screen that was moving fast down the device with a weird noise then shut off. I turned it back on only to have this happen agian and battery still show 0%. I left it on the charger and let it charge a hour while i was at the gym before booting it up again. It booted up and stayed on, but displayed 0% still even after a hour of charging. I unplugged the power and tried refresh on battery monitor thinking maybe it was a bug, but the second i disconnected it, it showed "plug in immediatley" then said shutting down.
TL/DR: Battery displaying 0% even after a hour long charge, disconnecting it turns device off.
Not sure why there's always a drop off st 10%. Maybe battery meter isn't calibrated right?

You're charging with the included charger and not through a PC, right?
Go to recovery/advanced/wipe battery stats. May not work but worth a try.

Battery stats get wiped every time the battery level reaches 100. So I doubt it will help.

Very irritating. I basically have to mentally reduce my battery % by 30, because 30% battery is essentially 0% battery for me. So whenever I fully charge my nexus and it says 100%, I think to myself "awesome, i'm at 70% battery"
