I've installed Busybox installer from market; at startup it pops me a blank message (i can click only on "ok") and the installer remains on "Status: Looking for Busybox". It crashs if i click on "install".
I've installed Busybox in this way before upgrading the firmware to 2.1.1.A.0.6 from PC Companion.
What can i do? I've already removed busybox file from "system\bin" with root explorer.

@lostcore
busybox from the market works fine & easy way to install, make sure your device is rooted & you have the latest SU app. & you need to grant root access

i have the same problem, and
i install it with titanium backup..
when i try with the busybox to re-install it i got the same problem with yours..
I have the same issue on my stock 2.1 but on j006a it's fine.
x10flashtool will install it for you I think. Unless you're making advanced scripts i don't think you need to update. That one is 16.2 or something
There is a new update on the market,
did you try it ?

do i need to have xrecovery installed?
The simpliest way to install CWM is to plug your phone with debugging mode to your PC and run DMR.bat from this file. More information you'll find in this post.
Thanks. It works

Mount r/w for /system in root explorer and then copy the files over. GingerDX does not need CWM recovery, it only needs xRecovery to install. So root your x8, install xRecovery, backup phone, full wipe, install GingerDX, wipe cache and dalvik-cache and then reboot. Tada! GingerDX will be running on your phone.
Tada! MD5 missmatch? Did you know how to fix it? Thx again
Sent from my E15i using XDA App
Search for "md5 mismatch" on xda.
By the way:
When did you get this?
Because you can get this only when you flash a ROM/backup that consists of syste.img, data.img, cache.img and nandroid.md5 and GingerDX is in an update.zip, so it´s only a .zip-file that contains the /system-folder and a script that makes it flashable in a recovery, so you can´t get a md5 mismatch on this.
hey bro you need xrecovery version 0.1 and you flash it try first a Ginger DX v09 like i d then upgrade ginger dx have clockowrmod installed you can reboot in it i will post a link
Latest versions of GingerDX for X8 need CWM
and I have xRecovery installed on my stock rom. I would update first to CWM my phone and then install GingerDX v016...what I should do? I don't want to brick my phone! Anyone could explain me the correct procedure? Thanks

Flash dualboot with xrecovery then you will have cwm and xrecovery at the same time. You can find dualboot.zip from the multiboot thread

Download root checker from play store. If it shows your phone to be rooted, then updating will brick your device. If it shows "no root access" then you can update to Lollipop.
And, a word of advice, dont update to Lollipop. Kitkat works much much better than Lollipop on A6000+.
Also, you can try custom ROMs if you are familiar with flashing ROMs and stuff..

No app without root access can install busybox because without root access they dont have permission to write in /system directory. So, the "install busybox without root" app has to store busybox files in /data/ directory, and must be guiding other apps to that folder when some apps ask for busybox.
And without root permissions you cant modify the contents of /data/.
So, you need to install that "install busybox blah blah" again and then try installing busybox again. Then, clear data of the "install busybox ..." app and I think busybox would get removed, hopefully.
And yah, if this doesn't work you can factory reset your phone. That would surely do the job.

Yeah factory resets wipes the /data/ directory. All of your installed apps will be removed too, so you should better make backup first.
