Did you get a $25 playstore credit with your purchase..

like google gave you on the n7?
Unfortunately no. I was hoping they would do that again, but it appears that was just with the Nexus 7.
No credit is given, but you do get the first Ice Age movie from Google Play Movies.

The $25 Credit that came with the Nexus 7 was intended to help promote Google Play and get you started using the service.

And the same should be done for the n10 for new users.

Maybe it was only in certain countries (I'm in the US.). I can imagine these types of deals with the movie industry are quite complicated.
I opened the built-in Movies app. It showed up on the top under My Movies.

I'm in the UK and the Ice Age movie is listed under "my movies" could be a regional rights thing as to whether or not you get access to it.
Pity about the $25, I think that's finished for the N7 as well as the N10 now.

Yeah, the Play Store credit was only on the Nexus 7 and ended on 30 September 2012.
I also did get Ice Age free with the N10.

As nice as that would have been, it wasn't just to familiarize new users with the service. It was to get them started on the habit of spending money in the store. Google Play was still only a couple of months old when the N7 came out. Including gift cards with the (then) latest Nexus device just made sense in promoting the service.

No it wasn't lmao. The nexus 4 is a tmobile or other carrier device, and the Google nexus 4 is purchased via playstore AFAIK.

No, in antutu, tests with a Nexus 4 (regardless of whether it was purchased in the play store or not) show up as "Nexus 4".

New Google keyboard from play store on CM10

I'm on the RC5 and getting this error.
Trying to disable keyboard and dictionary provider apps doesn't work either. I tried TB to just remove them but no go. My next step is trying to pull the apks from the /system/app folder.
Has anyone been able to install the new Google aosp keyboard from the Google play store while running CM10?
What's the difference from the one on the play store to the one already on the device?

Its mainly for people with non-Nexus devices. Although future updates from Play Store will be more handy as its updated more.

Multi language support. CM can't sign add-on dictionaries and therefore no aosp based ROMs can automatically download them from within the app settings.
That's my main reason to use it.

Android 5.0 Lollipop

So it's official now: http://www.android.com/versions/lollipop-5-0/
Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 revealed as well: http://www.theverge.com/2014/10/15/6982145/nexus-6-announced-google-specs-availability
It's fappening.

Nice. Although I'm flashing back to 4.4.4 official and waiting until more apps convert over to ART.
This was posted in the N4 Lollipop thread. UHG Really starting to regret getting a Deb.
"Android Lollipop will ship on Google’s newest Nexus devices, the Motorola-built Nexus 6 smartphone and HTC-built Nexus 9 tablet, both of which were introduced Wednesday. Google said Lollipop will hit the older Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets on Nov. 3 in an over-the-air update. Lollipop will also hit the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphones, as well as the LTE version of the Nexus 7, later in November."
As for phone... Yeah not gonna get the N6.Too expensive and it would be like using my N7 as a phone. I'll just wait for Project Ara. Think that'll be my next phone.
It was supposed to be "lemon pie"
Not lollipop! All the hints were to "lime pie" or "lemon pie"

Do I have to wipe my device again before flashing Android 5.0? Any suggestions for backup and restore apps after flashing?

I guess the answer is yes, because it is totally different then earlier, but I suggest try flashing before cleaning, might work

Yea that is weird. I noticed that also. I'd say it would be too confusing but they list the 6 and 5... why not a 7 and 9?

That would be a real shame if they stop support the new Nexus 7
They already said the Nexus 7's would be getting an official update for Android L. So no need to worry.
We know that bro....just curious!! ^_^
What will happen after lollipop? Will we get that update too?
Nevermind...
I hate that the new Nexus tablet is so expensive. For $100 more than what the Nexus 9 will start at, I got a 10" Windows 8 tablet (full Windows, not that RT crap) with a real keyboard dock (Acer Iconia w510, for anyone who cares). I'll be keeping my Nexus 7. I will pick up the Nexus 6 on contract, though.

Anybody knows when source code will be online?

Anyone get this game working on Nexus 7 2012? I can run it on all my phones and even the $50 Amazon Fire but can't get it to work on my Nexus 7 2012.
