My Library widget no longer working right ... fix? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I first started the nexus up, the homepage had a dynamic library widget ...ie where all of the media was scroll able (a movie section, magazine, books, and music and I could scroll through all the choices in their own categories). Now, I just see pictures of some media that I've used recently and that's it. It's ticking me off ... I even wiped my nexus and started from scratch but that dynamic my library widget return; I'm left with the static/picture only one. Is there a fix for this?

My library didn't work when I used a different home launcher like apex or nova...

I figured apex had something to do with it ... so I just wiped my nexus and started from scratch but the widget still isn't working the way it was when I first got it. I really liked that scrolling widget.

Anyone?

[Q] Pausing Live Wallpaper when opening app drawer?

Hi. I recently tried to find out from the LauncherPro forum if there is a way to rectify a lag problem when using Live wallpaper and the app drawer but apparently there is just no way? I'm having trouble believing and thought I'd post it here.
Basically, if using a live wallpaper, the app drawer is REALLY choppy/laggy and skips frames. I was thinking perhaps if there is a way to "pause" the LWP or something like that when pulling the app drawer.
This is the original topic from the LauncherPro forum:

The very reason I stopped using LiveWallpapers.
All fine and dandy showing off when iPhone users are around, but disabling LWP brings my TAB back to silky smooth operation.

I can give you one to play with if you want. Its a work in progress as far as a full home-replacement app. I am working on making an app drawer, then making everything around that. Like I said, I can make an .apk for you that is a simple grid view that shows all the apps on the device and launches them. There is a random layout animation that plays when the gridView is first called. Just pm me if you would like to try it out

[Q] About the Google Play Music Widget...

I just updated to the latest version of Google Play Music and got the new UI, it looks good and everything, but there's one problem, the homescreen widget changed from 4x1 to 3x1 for some reason. Now, It looks crappy and I want the 4x1 widget back. I have already uninstalled updates/force stop/disable re enabled/rebooted, no luck. I don't know why this is happening now 0or if it is happening to any others, but yeah, I thought the play music widget was resizable 4x1, now it is a unresizeable 3x1. Help please! How do I get it back to 4x1?
Rooted Nexus 7, Stock Jellybean 4.2.2
I also have Nova launcher installed so I checked and on Nova launcher the widget was 4x1 instead of 3x1, the correct size it was before I updated the play music app, which can also be resizes on Nova launcher. What could be causing the problem? Should I clear data/uninstall updates/force stop other applications besides the music app (I already tried those things on the music app.) Like Google services, framework, etc?
The top screenshot is the Nova launcher app drawer /widget section, the bottom is the stock launcher app drawer/widget section.

One more thing, I noticed when I go into landscape that on the stock launcher widget section, the play music widget changes from 3x1 to 4x2, and you can see the way it is. Did I do something wrong or is this hot not working correctly?
How do I fix this!?

Google Music lockscreen widget problem

Hi! Basically, the Google music widget appears in my lock screen and pushes my dashclock to left whenever I listen to music. This is really annoying because I always want to see my clock.
The worst part is that for some reason the widget is unresponsive (pressing pause or back/forward doesn't do anything).
Another user was having this problem also, but I couldn't find an answer to his q. -->

I'm running PA 3.55 with the contrasty kernel. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

You can't do anything afaik to make the clock widget show default while listening to music. :/
As for the unresponsiveness, everything works fine on my end, must have something to do with your setup.
Alright, thanks for the info! I'll maybe try reinstalling the gapps.

Even I was facing the same problem and I searched the net for a solution but to my dismay couldnt find any. Then I figured a way out;
all you need to do is while the screen is locked, swipe left/right to the dashclock widget screen and long tap it and move it right, past the default music player widget and the stock android lock screen just before teh camera. - problem solved.

Quick window doesn't work

As always, I got a new phone and raced to root and debloat. From there I started looking at cool things the phone will do and remembered the quick window feature. I dont have the case yet, so I just used a magnet to activate it. The quick window just shows up black with three dots below. Anyone have an idea of what I might have frozen or uninstalled that is required for the quick window to display actual information?

Well, I guess through trial and error, I figured it out.
Just incase anyone else was wondering:
Music 4.2.5 ( used display the widget, continues to work just says "can't display widget" on the quickwindow)
Music 4.1.11 (won't play music unless installed)
Clock Widget (digital/analog clocks)
Weather 4.1.8.1 and Weather Theme 4.1.8.1
My assumption, but not through testing is that you could remove any of these if desired, it would just say tat it can't display the widget for that page.
Sure would be nice to replace these, I personally use Google play music so don't really have a desire for another music app on the phone, but at least I can hide the icons.
