Autokill level : safe ( aggresive won't hurt u much but making it crazy will somtimes restart sense )
autokill freq. :when screen of
security level :high ( i prefer medium now )
thats all for this app and ignore list is there also.. for which u don't wanna close.
now in set cpu when in default on demand setting with max 994000 it will give u 12 hrs backup (checked with batteryminder) (on the older kernels check da new images)
but set it to max 768000 if u r just using manu or callin (not running heavy games or somthing) this will conserve enough battery (surprising +10 hrs standby avg.) u can change this simply by getting to taskbar above in battry level profile(see images).
and then in profiles check it is enabled and make profiles as in images.
that will be all.. tnx too all.. if anyone has anymore opinions or tips feel free to comment... and special tnx to all the developers for makin HD2 a hot piece of cake..

no qestions or replies in this thread here???? ... LOLZ>.... XD
I'm using mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense 1.5 that haves the 384MB RAM patch and it is not power hungry at all! I've been using it for 22 hours of which the device was awake 2:40 mins and I still have 42% Battery! The programs I use for for power/memory management are Set CPU and Task Manager (this is the name of the program! In Market the little green robot with a red "X")
Using mattc's froyo 1.5. How do I even start up setCPU without having the application crash unexpectedly? It does this as soon as i press "ENABLE"

bro, if u dont use setcpu,as your are saying like 384mb ram enabled mattc1.5 or darkstone both is not power hungry batteryminder will show you a good 12 hrs left of standby.but it doesnot changes instantly.. after using setcpu and general profile to max 768000 it will show 22hrs after som time....if u r getting 22hrs its because setcpu... without that our SET got a very little lifespan maybe

Did you upgrade from 1.4? That can cause some app issues. It is best to remove setCPU and reinstall it (you won't have to pay for it again).

in ur pic attachments, all the settings are at 50 priority..
how does this "priority" work in android compared to windows os? im not sure how it works in setcpu since the priority is allocated to settings and not process threads unlike in windows OS..
thats good batt life man!

I've also set my max cpu setting to 768 (except when plugged in to usb/power) and it's made a huge difference to the battery drain with no real noticeable lag.
Mattc 1.5 here - also used it on 1.3a and 1.4.
SetCPU is amazing, glad I bought the paid version instead of downloading the freebie as the author definitely deserves it imo
Did eveything u said bro. But still get barely 7 hours. Intact clicked it down to 384hz max. Still poor life. Dunno. Love my phone but the battery life is really killing the experience.

What is considered 'bad' battery life? I can go 48 hours without a charge. Granted I don't play a lot of games, but the battery seems good to me.
My iPhone 3G has half the battery life of my SGS.

That's decent, bad battery life depends on how heavy a user you are.
My battery wont last a whole day what drains my battery is Angry birds I was hoping for more...
Lot of users dont understand that the battery gauge and other measures of the battery are like your cars fuel gauge not that accurate .
Some are whinnying that the battery drops one whole percent when the charger is removed .
In what way does the battery drop hours days ?? Mine still rock solid near full charge .

WOW.....your device is so hard work, but I would like to know you whether open the auto-sync?! you can download the app for Juicedefender or Green Power to control the data/ Wifi, it can save power.
I use Lite'ning V1.5 and use Juicedefender for my Galaxy S II, it can work for 2 days for one charge
stock KF3 works great for me. You shouldn't need a special ROM to get decent battery time.
What is the display on time when the battery is getting close to empty? That tells a lot how you use the phone.

Must admit the battery on this SGS2 is a bit of a pain.

drop the oc kernel and replace with faux enhanced 2.0 1 ghz , setcpu only controls one core at the moment , faux has alittle more work to do on his kernal to get full control of 2nd core so it's not runing at 1300 and burning up battery power
homebase 3.4, update 5.4a , faux enhanced 2.0 1 ghz kernel . battery last for 2 days + 20% left
use setcpu , set up profiles, underclock the profiles
task manager, add most of the apps to auto end list
For me it helped to get rid of market, gmail app, set CPU profiles, alarms, auto syncing, Ebay, juice defender! Google apps seem to be worst offenders.

Battery Life
I had the same problem recently, especially with Faux's 2.0 kernel @ 1.1ghz(1.9 had better battery life :/). Even with Juice Defender(the saint of batter life) I was only getting like 16 hours. My first suggestion is to use 1ghz for standard use, and to create a CPU profile which drops clock speed to 216mhz when screen is off. The difference between 1.1ghz and 1ghz with me was 80% after 12 hours compared to 30%. As I mentioned before, if you're rooted, get JuiceDefender. It has typically gets me 1.4x-1.5x the battery life. That is, even in you're sad case, 6 hours of extra life. Finally, kill Facebook and Browser when you're not using them, they seem to kill battery life.
I don't miss any of it. I check gmail manually via k9 mail , and I can thaw market if I need it. Right now I'm 14 hours with 42% batt.

Im constantly texting, probably send and receive 400 a day? Im at 8000 and it has been a month lol. And im always on facebook to, I get 10 hours. Cyanogenmod 7 with faux's enhanced stock kernel for CM7. Make sure you have the correct radio and calibrate your battery, another member has already posted the link to that thread. I don't use juice defender or any other task killers or anything like that. Brightness turned to 20%, set CPU profile set to powersave, gps satellites disabled. I'm at 7 hours and 46 minutes with 86% left. This is with 124 texts sent, 1 five or so minute call and a couple pictures taken. If this set up doesn't work for you consider buying a new battery.

What sort of battery drain do you currently get on standby? Can you tell me the reading in ma from CurrentWidget? If it's 3-5 ma with mobile network/wifi/bluetooth etc on and 2ma in airplane mode then you're fine, but if it's higher it can definitely be improved.
If you don't plan to use mobile internet connection then disable 3G and turn 2G mode only. Turn off as many widgets as you only can, disable Location Service and auto sync. Install apps on phone memory only.
Also Dorimanx kernel is a hell of battery drainer, use another one like stable Tytungs etc.
Use dynamic/powersave CPU governors or use CPU speed profile apps like SetCPU and make several profiles for it.
This is only a few of tips we can give here.

Well the apps I use to reduce my battery drain are JuiceDefender and SetCPU. Set the profiles to be 245-576 Mhz when screen is off (smartassv2) and whatever else you like when screen is on. I never had any overheating problem with Tytung's kernel though. It was the most stable and just as fast as Dorimanx's kernel IMO. Still, using ICS now so I can't really judge about the newest versions of each of them.

I think his kernel is the same in battery drain over any of them. Ive tried them all. If anything, seader_r9 was the best and it was only a small improvement. My battery life is pretty short, but im a HEAVY user. Constant web browsing, constant text messaging contant GPS. And it lasts for the majority of the day. Now i have an .sh script which helps tweak the smartassV2 settings. I get about 110-200ma drain when doing simple web browsing or replying to a text.
One must also keep in mind that the ROM has a major part in battery drain as well. I heard from many users on here that MIUI has the best battery life. All in all i think any kernel you choose will have reletively (i spelled that wrong -.- its still early ) the same battery drain. It really comes down to the amount of use your phone has. But as stated before, turning off data greatly saves the battery as does turning down the screen brightness, fyi, automatic brightness sucks battery life too. Plus android does a horrible job polling the light sensor -.- it shouldnt take an average of 3 seconds to get the changed light value..
Theres not much 'tweaking' you can do to give you like an hour extra of battery life. Our batteries are only 1350mah batteries and thats really small for such a huge screen. My Touch Pro 2 has a 1500 and a much smaller screen. There are a lot of good aftermarket batteries on ebay that you could get which would extend your running time.
thanks guys, im gonna give a shot to tytung kernel, but im also gonna take a look to the aftermarket baterys
Typhoon rom support undervolt so if your phone is gettin' hot I suggest you to tweak the voltages as explained to original thread first page, it makes a big difference compared to stock.

Good advice here. There's a lot you can do (as already advised) but always some performance tradeoffs. The standard HD2 battery is only 1230 mA... not 1350. Smartassv2 in DM's kernels is excellent for performance and settles down nicely in standby - but it will pull-on your battery when used. There's no substitute for keeping a few extra charged batteries around (when you need them), along with AC & DC chargers + cable, in a small carrying case.

You don't need to use dorimanx's latest kernels, his stable kernels in fact do a better job at not overheating and have only 2ma drain on standby. I know 5.9, 6.3, 6.4d, and 6.9A (ics hwa) give a great battery life.

Wow, in standby im on average around 7-3mA with the occational spikes when receiving texts or messages over wifi. And when on data its about the same, just not as often in the 3ma range.

Which apps are running in the background? People constantly say that task killers make no difference yet whenever I've opened something and haven't killed it I get a higher battery drain than normal.
Also, use JuiceDefender and SetCPU to lower the drain.
