You need to flash google apps. Mainly the play store since most of the apps can be installed from there..

well i download via market, Install market enabler and set fake provider to Tmobile Us, should work. If you can tell me where I find the apk on the phone ill uploaded it for you
If you have Astro or another app that backs up apps you can use that. It saves the apk in a file on the SD card.

edit2: well that's brut's version... any way to get the original?
I've noticed that in order for the Play Store to work (and other Google Apps as well I think), I need to have GoogleServicesFramework.apk and GoogleLoginService.apk installed in /system/app. My question is: Is there a way to get Play Store (and other Gapps) to work without having the mentioned APKs installed /system/app? Is there a way to have them function from /data/app?
Sorry chief no luck on that one. Without the framework to support it and verify your account to Google play it won't work.

Yeah, I figured I would absolutely need the framework and login, but wondering if there's anyway they can be placed somewhere else other than /system

A better way(for now)
Found a better way for installing apps not available in my region.
Just go to: "https://play.google.com/store/apps/collection/promotion_3000e26_androidtv_apps_all"
(I was not allowed posting a normal link)
from any computer and install whatever app you want.
Works great for me in Norway.
(don't tell Google )

This link only shows the apps that are already available in my country (Canada). I don't see any outside of my region.

Hi,
for compatibility with other applications on the tablet I need to use the older version of Gmail.
I know where to download it.
But I do not know how to do it automatically has not updated to the latest version of Google Play.
The application can somehow separate from Google Play?

Yes you can sever the app from the Play Store by re-signing the app. I can do for you but, which version of Gmail do you want it done to?

Okay, give me a day or two and I'll upload it.

You don't need to "re-sign" anything.
Download the apk from apkmirror. Uninstall Gmail, or if it's a system app go to settings- apps- Gmail and uninstall updates to replace with factory version your phone came with. Install Gmail version you downloaded. Immediately go into play store for Gmail, click 3 dots at top right and uncheck the box to auto update.
If anyone modifies an apk and gives it to you, I would not trust it. Could have a backdoor or keylogger or something.

Thanks for providing an alternative.
Though, I never stated that resigning it was the only way. I only knew that way and thought it was a simplistic way of doing it.
Now I know of another way.

I hope it works!
I need help figuring out how to use the blackedout app for Gmail and other apps. I have the Samsung galaxy s10 plus with latest update and non rooted which is prefer to keep that way.
Anyone on here know how to install their apks? I downloaded a few and tried installing but it wouldn't work. I'd get an install failed message. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this combats my lack of substratum. Thank you.

That's because they are two different apks so you have to uninstall the already installed one to be able to install the modded one

In this case you can't, disabling a system apps such as Gmail will still refuse to overwrite with modified signatures.
You can do it with Youtube Vanced, it uses a different package name that doesn't interfere with the original Youtube, you need a similar solution for your other apps.

Yeah I figured out YouTube vanced and even GB insta for those too but for like Dropbox or Gmail Facebook Messenger etc I wonder if I'll have similar luck. How is aquamail? Is that a good email app I'm positive there's a skin or dark mode theme for that app as well maybe I can switch

Adb uninstalling doesn't uninstall anything, it's just a forced way to disable packages which works on system apps that have the greyed disable button, it won't help in this case.

Yeah brother no dice unfortunately I don't know how to get it working on my S10 Plus sadly, it would have been nice to use black versions of kik FB messenger and duo etc, if this actually was able to work it was a substratum killer in my book.

Have you tried sending a text with just the Crescent Moon emoji? It doesn't matter who you send it to. Your Messenger will then have dark mode in the settings.

Yup figured out how to fix messenger with the moon emoji. Not I gotta figure out the Gmail or another email app with a black theme and play store or duo etc I'm trying to darken most apps like substratum but I figured this blackedout apps may have been the solution but no dice. Thanks for the help and support brother
