Hy guys and first off all please excuse my awfull english (i`m from Romania).
Lets start...
A friend bought a Optimus 7 E900 and gave it to me for repair. I was thinking that was a soft brick.
The PHONE displayed Memory Card error. Tried to hard reset and no good. Tried to open it in Cold Boot mode no good.
I followed all turorial here on Xda and none of them worked.
First i`ve flashed the phone with the original Tim Italy firmware via LGDP2_V36_UMTS and after the 10 point where Reset is happening a error occures ( ErrNum 6 Open Port) and the phone does nothing ( just black screen after 20 minutes).
Tried almost all available firmwares found here and no cure for it.
Please Help Me !

Ya I tried both hard as well as soft reset but same screen is stuck again and agian.Can any one please help me in this regard as I am very new to PDA family.
Ok, first things first:
Since you are new to this, are you sure you preformed a hard reset?
It is done by holding power + camera + comm manager buttons (one on the right, two on the left) and pressing with stylus in the reset hole at the same time.
A message should appear asking you to press 'send' (green phone button) to confirm reset.
If this does not help, you may have a serious problem.
Please answer the following:
Is the device fully charged?
Phone will fail to boot if the battery is too low.
Did you install any software right before this happened?
This should have been resolved by hard reset, but just in case I am asking.
Did you change the ROM, attempted CID / SIM unlock?
This could require more serious measures than I can advise on.
I did exactly the same thing which you mentioned.But even then it is stuck at the same screen.
Ya u r right I unlocked my mobile using a software from eBay.The unlock was successfull and I tried to insert T-Mobile sim, it also captured the signal and I was able to make and recieve calls then after that I wantedly switched off the phone and then tried to start it, there got the problem.
Can any one help me in this regard please.

I've got the same problem after attempting smart1_wm6_pp8mb.exe
I'm having the same problem with my G4 QTEK S200:
Attempted to upgrade to WM6 Rom using smart1_wm6_pp8mb.exe
After reboot the phone got stuck at the QTEK Screen
Tried Hard Reset (Camera+Power+Comm+Reset) followed the steps with the same results (bricked)
I also tried re-flashing the rom back to the factory one using RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_QtekWWE_Ship and ROMUpdateUtility-NoVendorID.exe in Windows Vista with WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center v. 6.0.6873) and the phone in boot loader mode (tri color screen) with working USB cable, with windows firewall disabled and symantec AV disabled as well, RUU keeps saying error 260 "the update utilitiy cannot connect to your pda phone..." .
Do you think I should try this process using XP instead? No matter what i try i keep getting the error 260
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Got it fixed!
it was definately a Vista issue. once i tried it in XP with ActiveSync it worked like a charm and i got my phone back up and running. also used spb backup and restored all my settings.

i got the same problem with new rom wm6, and the 260 eror, my problem is that i have xp and the activesync does`t connect ...
... means i cant redo the original rom ????

I raised the same issue 7 months back after that my phone got recovered automatically and there were no issues till last month. Last month onwards it is again got the same problem and now it is permenantly stuck at that screen what ever you do.

A rom reinstall on xp solved my problems on that one. retry a couple of times! It may not work the first time! hard reset as well...
Try an official wm5 rom just in case

1. Don't panic
2. Don't panic
3. Unplug the phone
4. Reset with stylus,and keep the Camera Button pressed.
5. A 3 color screen will appear(Bootloader Screen)
6. Connect your device with your PC,and run the NVID(no vendor) WM5 rom.
7. The device will be resetted after RUU(rom update utility)finishes
8. Repeat the WM6 upgrade,from STEP 5..

To mention my phone is from orange-UK. I got the orange rom from our FTP site and did the flashing/update what ever you say.But still it is getting stuck at the same IPL/SPL screen. Iam very much worried that I will not get a proper solution for my problem.It will be very grate full if some one resolve my problem.
just seems strange...how did you fix it last time? did it just start working again? A random guess would be that the camera button got liquid spilled on it or is stuck in.
If the camera button is pressed in the phone will go to 3 colour screen every time it is turned on.
It won't do any harm if you try to press/move that button to see if u can "unstick" it, not likely I think but u never know...
Dear friends :
today i see that my unit is crashed and it didn't work , just an still today screen with no response to anything.
I did a soft reset ,but after a soft reset , it just the first time , a crashed today screen .
Then I did a hard reset and on first boot screen with HTC logo appear " No GSM " and when my unit boot , no GSM services is available.
then I go to a ROM upgrade with original ROM and the same rom that installed on my device , but at 12% of process a " Communication Error " has been shown on the PC .
I try to recover the error , but one more time the update process stoped at 12% and now when I Turn my unit on , just a three color screen and nothing else .
please help me that what can I have to do for this problem .

No I do an Upgrade with windows XP SP2
I didn't try AP3 , because I can't do a Hard SPL ! my unit didn't unlock with HARD SPL softwares .

I have the msn account:[email protected] .Once again,just to make the resume of the whole story if I remember well:The trinity was with the initial sfr 300+ software(wm5);I installed the oli1.20 flashed it with some other ROM software,did not like it and returned to the original one.Then I tried to flash it with the ROM software where all went wrong...After 1 % the screen went blank and all I can do with the device is to put it into the boot-loader mode where it says:
TRIN100
IPL-0.50
TRIN100
SPL-1.07.0000
When I extracted the file,I discovered that it has 2 nbh-files.I think that is the reason of my defete.Afterwords I have tried all sorts of the first aid solutions : splxploit-windows cannot connect to the device;it says that there is no WCEUS-file and therefore it cannot continue.I have tried to re-flash it through the sd-card:I re-formatted the card on fat32,without any name,put the original ROM and tried to let it boot that way.No success,it marks:loading ... and after 3-4 secs it returns into the boot-loader mode with the same message mentioned above ...

1: Boot into BL (camera + power + reset hole)
2: Download the GPS enabled ROM from HTC Support, NOT from a rapidshare/megaupload/4shared etc.. mirror.
3. Flash the ROM, but use the hardspl flasher.(For some reason, it doesn't go error 270 if I use this flasher).
4. Hard Reset again.

I have a HTC P3600 and after i make a hard reset the screen goes all black, i already try flash the phone but don't result.
If i try to make a hard reset again the screen shows "press ok to make hard reset" after that goes black again.and its completing %100 but when i want restart its still doesnt work just black screen. just working light =(

Any chance of sharing the solution, guys, my SPV M700 has similar problems. I tried to flash it with the TRIN-SSPL rom, but it kept saying I need a newer version of the update software.
Now all I have is it gets stuck on the green Windows load up screen and when I reset (Camera-PWR Button-Reset) it goes onto the bootloader tri-color screen, similar to what Goranchen had on his. What do I do now, I would really like to use the phone on another network, and I have looked after it really well, I think, so would be a shame to throw it away. Please help!!

While browsing over the internet my phone simple restarted. But this time, it is stucked into the Samsung Omnia 7 logo. I tried removing the battery and nothing. Also, Zune does not recognize it since OS does not start.
I've tried to do hard reboot. Nothing. Also, I tried to enter in download mode, and flash it. The flshing process was perfect and complete, but after all, my phone is still stucked into the start screen. I don't know what else can I do.
Any ideas?
Do you have 8 or 16GB version? Some weird pattern is starting to show up ).
And what ROM did you flash?
I have the 8GB version.... I flashed that one in the guide you guys suggested here in XDA.

my friend brings me a htc hd mini that when i turn it on on the phone restart on page that show (starting windows for the first time)
i did hard reset by volume up and down and went fine but no luck
i try to onstall rom by sspl and got wendor id error
so i search according to its serial nuber and found its region and downloded its RUU that was 1.36.707 ( malasiya)
and installation went fine but again restart problem on no luck
also extract ruu and renam rom to PHOTOIMG and put on memory and installation wia download mode and went fine but same problem and phone restart
SO is it hard ware problem or there is any trik that can help to solve thist via software??
the situation of phone is restarting ( i dont know what happended for it before)
