I have Google Wallet on my Galaxy Nexus, and wanted to add the same card to my Nexus 7. Whenever I try to add the card, I get a message telling me to carefully review my information because somehting is incorrect. I called Citi and had them verify all the information on my account was correct and that they haven't sent me a new card or canceled mine without me knowing. According to the customer service agent, everything is correct. I am currently on hold waiting for Nexus customer support (about 15 minutes into the wait right now) but was wondering if anyone has had any issues or knows of anyone that may have had issues with doing this.
Edit to add:
Got in touch with someone (1h11m wait) and was told that you can only use 1 device per card and that if I want to use the same Citi card with Wallet on the Nexus 7, I have to disable it in the Galaxy Nexus first.

I just tried to pay with my nexus 7 and felt like an idiot because I didn't know where to tap it.
Also anyone know a relatively inexpensive way to trade my 16gb version for the 3g version.

I bought a couple of meals at McDonalds to use the $10 credit using NFC with Wallet. I touched the top, back of the N7 to the sensor and a receipt spit out. The second time I had to tap it a couple of times to get it to take. Just remember to open Wallet first and choose your payment method, i.e., Google credit or debit or credit card. I think the Google credit is no longer available.
The NFC antenna is on the back of the case. It's a rectangular "frame" with the NEXUS on the case at the bottom of the "picture" and the top about one inch above NEXUS.
I never used a device with a NFC. In order to pay by NFC using Google wallet. Do you need a active internet connection?

Once I got Wallet set up back in Sept or Oct and got my debit/credit cards entered and had my Google Wallet credit available I found I did not need an active internet connection to use NFC to pay with Wallet. Now that the credit has expired (I think) I just make sure one of my cards is selected as the payment type. So, if you go to pay for something with Wallet/NFC, all you have to do is open Wallet, enter your pin, make sure your desired card is selected, and tap the reader. It just works without an active connection. The transaction is authorized at the terminal and the selected card is subsequently charged later behind the scenes. So, I repeat, no active internet connection is required if you have previously set up Wallet.
Thanks for the answer.

Exactly. The NFC just transfers your card number to the machine like when you swipe your card. Then the machine uses the internet to verify and charge.

I just got off the phone with Google Wallet being stuck on the (Wallet is unable to proceed until this device is fully initialized). After speaking with the rep they finally told me that Google Wallet will not work on straight talk with an AT&T sim. Does anyone have this working? I feel like they were trying to just get me off the phone as they could not solve the problem. They told me that if I wanted this to work I needed to actually be an AT&T customer, I can't imagine how this would be true but thought I would see if anyone has this working in this way before I try to call them back again.
Thanks!
I can confirm that Wallet works with the Galaxy Nexus on AT&T. I don't have an AT&T sim to test the Nexus 4.

I have had it set up on mine now for over 2 months. I will admit I haven't used it yet but it set up just fine. I have had to set it up several times due to switching roms and upgrading but it has never been a problem.
I have been on ATT ST the entire time.
wallet working

Hi,
I've read that KitKat brings Host Card Emulation. Do I understand it rignt that I can record any wireless card into my phone and later use my phone exactly as I would use that card? (credit card, tesco benefit card, door card etc.?)
I know I can connect google wallet with US credit card and pay with it, but this is for US only (I'm from Europe) and payments go through wallet account etc.
I would like to use it just as card emulator. Can someone please tell me, how to achieve this?
Is google wallet app necessary (because I struggle a little with country check).
I've tried to search but I couldn't find any usable informations, only discussions that HCE is enabled only for Broadcom NFC chips (which N4 has, so I presume it sould work on N4)
Thanks for any usable info

I think it doesnt work without Google Wallet but I could be wrong.
We have a NFC hack section on xda..

Have any UK members got Barlaycard mobile payments setup on their 6P ?
If so, any gotchas I should know about?
I recently got a plat barclaycard to use for mobile payments, but I've been unable to get the bugger to work.
It activates the app when placed unlocked on a terminal, but the the transaction never gets approved. If it's using a POS terminal that issues declined receipts I do see the correct virtual cardno quoted (i.e not the actual card number, but the one Barclays refer to as the number used for TFL journey tracking). This suggests to me that the basic NFC communications between phone and terminal is working okay.
My gut feel is that there's something not quite right in my account setup, but trying to find anyone in first line support at Barclays that has a clue about this is an exercise in futility.
I had similar grief setting up Vodafone pay with my S4, but one it was enabled correctly it was as solid as a rock. Hopefully once I get over this initial hurdle the 6P will be the same.
I just received a text from Barclays apologising for any problems I was having with with mobile contactless and that it should work now.
And surprisingly, it does! So if anyone else was having problems, it's worth another try.
Verizon pre-order, came in an hour or so ago. Really want to register for the free S2 before they're all snapped up. But, I don't want to activate just yet (fwiw, I have lots of things to backup & transfer, had a horrible experience last time, want to take my time & play around with it first...etc)
The invoice and My Verizon show the IMEI number I need; just wondering if anyone knows if the mac address is on the box or somewhere else, so I don't have to activate the phone yet. That would be best case scenario. Second preference would be if I could fire up the phone without activating it just yet.
Any advice or insight greatly appreciated! Thanks
I am still waiting for my S7 edge, however, on my Droid Maxx with close to stock LP has the MAC address in settings>about phone>status. That might point you in the right direction on your new phone. Good luck!

Just pull the sim card out, go through the minimum setup to get to the main screen and then go from there. It's what I did when I got mine because mine was setup to activate on my daughters line. Just pulled the sim, got my numbers, registered for my watch and then called verizon to activate it after putting the sim back in.

Thanks! That's exactly what I did and it worked perfectly.
