How does one clear all maps app search history? I've cleared my web history in my Google account, and paused all web history. There's an option, which is grayed out, named "clear on-device search history", can it be used? If so how?
I'd like to know this as well.

Is there a way to disable the N7 from logging me in and offering to log me in to every Google re-seed webpage and service? I like to share my N7, but I don't like that if you open Chrome to Gmail.com, it will log into the Gmail service automatically or offer to do so. I can use a security app like App Protector to lock down the Gmail APP, but I don't want to disable Chrome entirely. I just don't want people to be able to use Chrome on the N7 to be able to log into Gmail, G+, etc.
How can I do this?

UPDATE: Better, but still no solution.
I found that Chrome has a settings (tap menu, then Settings, then tap your email address listed at the top of the menu immediately below "Basics"). There you will find an option called "Auto sign-in (sign into to Google sites automatically)." By un-ticking this box, it no longer offer to log me into Gmail, merely because I visit gmail.com (or mail.google.com).
This is only partially helpful. Anyone who knows this can simply open the settings and tick the box and then get into my Gmail. The solution is to password-protect the Settings menu in Chrome. Devs, I'd pay for that.
Google Maps on my stock LG Nexus 4 has stopped recording my Location History, any ideas why?
May be an obvious question, but did you make sure it was still enabled? Also, did you check Latitude on the web here: www.google.com/latitude and see if it has any location history stored there.

If you go into Maps, then settings, then location settings, is "Enable Location History" and "Report from this Device" checked?
The same problem here. It used to work when I bought the phone, but stopped after a few days. Now my location history is empty. I have "report from this device" and "enable location history" checked. This isn't a new problem, it has been reported a few times before. It was either due to a bug in Google Maps (later fixed), or after an OTA update. In the latter case it needed clearing Google Maps cache and data. I did this, but it didn't help.
Any ideas?
For the past two days I have been unable to use the google voice search. That is in google now or the little mic button on the top right of the homescreen search widget.
I've tried uninstalling all of the updates to the search app all the way back to the stock, preloaded app. doesnt work no matter what I do.
does anyone have any suggestions before I wipe my phone?
Thanks!
Hello,
I am using a new Galaxy S4 Google Edition and when searching for the facebook app, the actual app does not appear. Facebook messenger comes up, as well as other facebook apps but the official facebook app does not come up. If I put in a search for facebook, not press the search button, and select the facebook app that appears in the drop down, I get the dreaded "can not retrieve information from server" message. I have tried all of the other tips (clearing cache, uninstalling updates, resetting the phone, etc.) without any success. All other apps that I use are fine.
Any ideas?

I'm having an issue that I can't seem to solve, and was hoping you guys might have a solution: under voice settings in the google app, the ok google detection option is grayed out, and inaccessible. Also, apparently the ok google detection itself is disabled, and only works from the google now launcher. (the launcher i'm using right now is the leaked nexus one, flashed in recovery.) (I'm systemless rooted with stock nougat 90G build.) The voice trigger doesn't even work in the google app unless i have the google now launcher set as my default launcher.
Other relevant info:
-i've checked the app permissions for stuff like google play services, the google app, etc. they all have microphone access.
-if i go into my security settings (system), and try to set up smart lock with voice detection, the ok google detection of the app opens. from there, i was able to get a workaround and re-enable the "ok google" hotword from any screen, but interestingly enough, the trusted voice option is grayed out and inaccessible, while the option to have it enabled from the google app was still checked.
-this sort of solves my issue, but it's really only treating the symptoms of the problem, not the source/cause of the problem, as i'd really like to find out what's going on with the option being unavailable in the google app's settings.
-a reboot didn't fix the issue
Another question: when looking at the app info for the google app, and then under storage, it doesn't have a regular clear cache and storage like other apps do, but instead a manage storage option that deletes search history. if i clear this, does it only wipe my local data, or does it wipe my search history from my google account? I'd like to try wiping the app data to see if that fixes the issue, but i don't want anything cleared from my google account.
