Hey all,
Am i doing something wrong? I want to be able to see my desktop chrome bookmarks on my nexus 7.
I have all my bookmarks good to go on Chrome on my desktop. I've enabled sync. Then I enable sync on my nexus 7, and I still can't see my bookmarks in chrome. However, I can see that the devices are linked. Anyone have some advice here? Thanks!

Open the Bookmarks and where it says "Bookmarks > Mobile Bookmarks" poke the Bookmarks at the far left. Then poke Desktop Bookmarks or Other Bookmarks. Desktop Bookmarks are whatever is on your bar, Other Bookmarks are all the rest.
Are you sure you are signed into Chrome on your desktop?
Alright it's working. I basically had to remove my google accounts from both chrome on my desktop and on android... then i re-did the process, and it worked this time. Hopefully it works seamlessly now - thanks!
Solution
Here's the solution that will fix your problem.
Follow the instructions below, do not skip any steps.
Desktop Chrome Settings
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Advanced Sync Settings
3. Choose either Sync Everything or ensure Open Tabs is ticked
Android Settings
1. Go to your System Settings
2. Under Accounts, go to Google
3. Select your Google Account email address
4. Ensure Chrome is ticked
Android Chrome Settings
1. Go to Settings
2. Under Basics, click on your Google Account email address
3. Tick Chrome to Mobile
4. Click on Sync
5. Choose either Sync Everything or ensure Open Tabs is ticked
Now, the tabs you open in your desktop will be available on your Android, under the Synced Tab (at the bottom, next to the Favourites (star) tab).
The tabs you open in your Android will also be available on your desktop, under Menu -> Recent Tabs.

I am having problems saving my bookmarks with Chrome on my Nexus 7.
I am doing the following:
Clicking the star on the website I want to bookmark
Add bookmark will appear
It will say its saving to Mobile Bookmarks
I click save.
Then when I try to view my bookmarks, no links will appear. What could be the reason why these aren't appearing?
Just making sure, you are looking under the mobile bookmarks folder?

I dont know!
When I click on the 3 dots next to the address bar, I click Bookmarks and it shows three tabs, Most Visited, Bookmarks & Other Devices... None say Mobile Bookmarks..... What to do?
All 3 tabs, Most Visited, Bookmarks & Other Devices are empty
Did you sync it with your google account?
I would assume it would save anyways but I have it sync'd to my google account all the time.
Are you rooted? Did you do anything else with your N7? Was it like this out of the box?

yes its synced. not rooted. havent done anything to it.
Two things you can try:
1. Straight up just reboot
2. Go to settings > apps > chrome > clear data and cache; reboot; open chrome and it will probably ask you to sync again, then try
Hi,
I can sync all I want from my chrome account from a desktop to another, but the tabs sync just doesn't work (when the bookmarks are syncing very well).
When I try to activate the Android Chrome preference "Open tabs" in the sync section, and I come back, the option just unchecked itself. It used to work perfectly, and as I remember, I did not change anything to my tablet, computer or Google account. Everything is up to date on both my computer and Nexus 7, the OS and the Apps.
Did I miss something?
Hope that I did post in the good section. If not, i'll be happy to move this thread.

Identical problem here. My last sync appears to have been 3 days ago —*I suspect a recent Chrome update broke it. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting my account from both desktop Chrome and Nexus Chrome with no success. My Galaxy Nexus is having no problems.

Tired the same things, still no luck. You have no problems with you Galaxys Nexus, I suppose you have this issu on your Nexus 7?
Yes, my problem is with the N7.
Same problem on my GS2
I've had this same problem on my SGS2 running cm10 for more than 2 weeks now. The open tabs sync settings option keeps unchecking itself. I've tried disconnecting my account on both my PC and GS2. I've even deleted data and reinstalled Chrome to no avail.
I think we'll all be very relieved to know that it's Google's fault. I can't post links, but Ars Technica just wrote an article on it titled "Why Gmail went down: Google misconfigured Chrome's sync server"
FIX
It doen't answer the question, but it solves the issue.
Following this procedure ended up fixing the problem for me:
- Export your bookmark, just to be sure
- Sign out from every Chrome client you have (desktop, android...)
- Go to your Google Dashboard
- Erase all the sync activity
- Wait for it to finish (a couple of minutes should does the trick)
- Log back in
- Import back your bookmarks (it shouldn't be necessary)
The tabs are now syncing.
Note: if you type "about:sync" in the omnibar, it should give you the errors about the sync function.
Hope this will work for you too.

I just happened to stumble on this while checking out stuff in Google Chrome - and wow, what a discovery! Let me explain -
1. On your chrome browser on your desktop, head to settings -> scroll down fully and click on Show advanced settings
2. Look for Google Cloud print and then set it up!
What you could do is, you could set up the Galaxy Note2 as a "Cloud printer". I guess you should have the Note2 syncing with the same google account and also have your chrome browser signed in to the google account.
Here's what you could do once you've setup the Cloud printer -
1. You could hit Control+P anywhere on any website - and select the Note2 as the printer!
2. This would auto trigger a pdf download on your android device of the webpage
hi guys this if my first Samsung phone(i had other android phones), how do i enable auto sync on this phone? it is disabled for facebook and gmail. the menu button doesn't seem to do anything.
and isn't the browser supposed to flash player on the GS4? my phone says that it does not have flash player in the browser.
Go into "Settings" and then "Accounts." Within accounts, you can select the individual account that you are trying to auto sync. Make sure they are checked.
go to the flash player web page and download the apk
or use google chrome
to sync go to account and check the option of what you want to sync

thanks. i downloaded the flash player, but it doesn't seem to be working with the browser. do i have to enable it? How?
Can't seem to figure this out. For some reason Chrome on my N6P does not show my desktop bookmarks. Actually, it only shows just the bookmarks on this phone.
- desktop is signed on
- settings->accounts->google->chrome is set to sync
- did a force close and also rebooted
Anyone else having this issue or can clue me in on how to see bookmarks on my other signed in Chrome devices?
Thanks
I currently have this issue with my new N6p.
I can't get the bookmark sync .
I try to wipe cache of the apps but not working.
In chrome it tells me that he can't reach the sync server.
